This was the best haircut i have ever had! Dan was very friendy and kind and listened to what you wanted and made suggestions based on your face shape, hair type, ect. He spent a lot of time on it and it came out even better than i expected it. I would pay triple the price for this kind of care and i will definitly be coming back when i need to.

I searched high and low for a great hair stylist for my hair. Where do I start my search? Of course, Google. I was going through Google and found Salon 8217. I called the number and talked to a gentleman named Dan. He's the owner and the hair stylist. He was able to squeeze me in that week. I found out Dan works everyday except Sunday. He's very accommodating with your schedule. When I arrived, I parked on the street. You will have to feed the meters depending on what day and time. You can use your credit card for the meters so you don't have to bring quarters. Who has quarters nowadays. I arrived at his hair salon. I showed Dan a photo of a person with the hairstyle I wanted. He first washed and dried my hair. Then he started cutting. He is a master with the scissors. He layered my hair perfectly. He's been doing this for 40 years! Not only that he has a lot of great stories. He entertained me with all his adventures in life. He is very easy to talk to and very chill. After he was done, I looked in the mirror. My hair was exactly like the photo that I showed him. Wow! He cut it exactly. I knew I found my stylist. If you are still looking for a master of the craft, give Dan a try. He is truly one of the best hair stylist in Los Angeles. You will be coming back like I do.

I would drive three hours and pay three times as much as Dan currently charges to see this man. He is, without a doubt, a master hairdresser and the best hairdresser I have ever visited. I found him via word of mouth, as I believe most people do — but I truly think some strange act of Devine intervention brought me to him (and I should clarify I’m not religious). He is the only hairdresser I’ve ever had where I am completely at ease with him cutting my hair. He really, really knows what he is doing. He listens to you and quietly takes into consideration your hairtype, style, and what you want to achieve. I’ve simply never had a not-great haircut from him. We should all be so lucky to have someone like Dan cut our hair. Dan is a true artist and a master at his craft. Go to him, get an amazing haircut and give him a massive tip — he charges far too little.

Not only did Dan wait patiently for me while I was stuck in traffic he gave me the best haircut I've ever had and gave me several excellent restaurant recommendations in the area. I'll definitely come back the next time I'm in town.
