I love the vibe of the space, and Casondra is so calming and really made sure she understood what I wanted before starting...and my hair looks and feels better than it has in years. My only issue is with access. I have fibromyalgia, and going into an unknown space is always a little trepidatious. There's no handicapped accessible parking nearby, and then to get to the salon, you have to go up there steps outside, and then up a flight of stairs inside, and there's no alternative way to get to the space. I reached out to Casondra, and she was so sweet and sent me a quick video of getting from the street to the salon so I could see, which helped tremendously, and I was also have a pretty good energy day. And just look at the before and after. I am thrilled. It looke just the way I hoped it would! (Note that the before was with wet hair, so minimal curling.)

Soooo cute, the atmosphere and decor is so comforting. Casondra is amazing and not only does she listen and talk through what you want, she teaches you and shows you how to style it. Finally found my go-to hair salon.

AMAZING! Cassondra was amazing; she listened to my hair goals, and was BEYOND knowledgeable about curly hair. She took the time to explain each product she was using, how eco-friendly it was, and how it was going to help my hair. Will absolutely be going back.

Casondra is amazing. My friend and I visited for a Mother's Day pampering. She gave me a subtle new look that I love. My friend has natural curly hair and Casondra did an amazing job. She spent time asking all the right questions and came up with a creative solution for my friend's limited mobility and was able to give her a full salon experience despite my friend's physical limitations.

I had an appointment with Eric today to go from a long style to a very short style with fringe in the front, and leading up to the appointment, I was a ball of nerves (of course, because new place, new style, new experience = anxiety). When I actually arrived and broke the ice, I quickly became comfortable and relaxed. Eric was pleasant to talk to, was very professional, and explained what he was doing/what products he used and why at times, adding to professionalism and security. The style turned out very nice, especially since I only really provided one Pinterest picture with no clue to what the back should look like. The overall feel of the space was cozy, clean, and welcoming, and I loved the vibe. Would highly recommend, and will be coming back!

I'm totally digging my new (natural) hair! After literally nearly 5 years of neglecting and not even trimming my hair, I went to Great Clips for a trim. I'll just say I still had 5 years of split ends left in there. I straightened my hair almost every day because I didn't know how else to do it. I kept having to switch my part because my hair was breaking off. I decided that I needed to seek some professional help and learn what I could do to work with what I have. THANKFULLY Casondra gave me a cut/ trim that would work for what I have, and she actually showed me what to do with it. And I can actually do it on my own. If you have naturally wavy hair and need some help, I suggest Casondra!

Marchelle is such a fun person! I had a blast getting my hair cut. I went in not knowing what I wanted so I really leaned on her for opinions. I came out adoring my hair cut for the first time in a long time! She did an awesome job! The atmosphere is fun and laid back, I had so much fun! I will definitely be going back!

WOW this place is amazing! I loved the setup,it's so fun and very welcoming. Casondra was everything I could have asked for. She took her time to get to know me and made sure I was comfortable with the cut and style. If your looking for a place that is more personalized this it. Casondra is the only person I will let touch my hair. I moved to Cincinnati several years ago and I still drive to Indy to see her. She is a curls master! I can even wash and go, and my hair looks amazing.

Eric is AMAZING! I had one of the best haircuts/color that I ever had here at Dark Horse Hair. He is very knowledgeable of every product he uses and really listens to what you want. Eric took the time to know what my needs were and exceeded them more than I thought could be possible with my hair. I recommended him to anyone.

Fantastic service, great crew, and a great location! Casondra always knocks it out of the park for me. The location is really nice as well, really large windows to let a lot of light in and feels very open. Plus you can watch the bustling Broadripple streets below. I would refer pretty much anyone who needs a cut their direction.
