I originally had made an appointment for brow lamination and was told they don’t offer that service so I just had a brow tint and wax. I began chatting with the stylist and also discovered they don’t do lashes. I told the stylist it was my birthday and I just wanted to feel beautiful and was hoping I could have gotten something done to make my day a little more special with no matter how much I had to spend with it being the big 50. I just feel like they advertise services that they don’t or won’t provide to certain people I’m just a little sad

I’ve gotten my hair cut with Nicole twice now and she’s amazing! I have blunt baby bangs and she has been the only person to cut them PERFECTLY. She’s truly listens to what you’re looking for and delivers perfectly. I’m obsessed and it’s safe to say she gained a forever client!

First of all, a salon open on a SUNDAY?! Yes, I will make the hour and some change drive for that alone. I have had 3 haircuts in the past four months and was looking for a change without taking my length off. I decided that just really didn’t satisfy me. I booked an appointment with Hannah for my big chop, she was AMAZING! Personable, sweet and kind! She absolutely SLAYED my hair. I haven’t been this happy with a haircut in quite some time, let alone a short style. I also never book ahead, this time I did! She really is wonderful and if you’re looking for someone to give you a great cut and style, I’d choose her 1000x over!

John is absolutely amazing! I wasn’t able to find a stylist that could do a good masculine haircut on a women for a year, until I went to John. He is so knowledgeable, nice, and caring. He is extremely talented in his art. Can’t recommend him enough!

Sela is such an amazing hairstylist !!! She is so sweet, fun, and outgoing. She listens to what I want and makes it look 100 times better 😭. I love her!!

I can’t recommend Hannah Curry enough! After asking some thoughtful questions, she delivered the perfect haircut, checking along the way if I was happy with how it was shaping up. She really understood the look I was going for. And omg her scalp massage was killer (in the best way). I’m really happy with my fresh cut! Thanks Hannah!!

If you are looking for that perfect cut and color, ask for John Hooker at Dark Horse! I first met John in Key West when visiting my daughter and son-in-law. I needed my hair done and he did an amazing job! My son-in-law even commented how great my hair looked! Imagine my surprise when my daughter told me he was moving to Omaha. Eek, I was so excited that I booked right away!

I cannot recommend Jen Mitchell highly enough! I received the Exclusive Pedicure with shellac and will for sure be back again. Her attention to detail was impeccable. I am barefoot most of the day and have pretty tough feet. Everything Jen did was so meticulous and made my feet feel better than they have in years. Hands down the best pedicure I’ve ever had. Do yourself a favor!

My stylist could have been a bit gentler during hair combining and also no need to say that she is short on time. Overall, this salon called me in advance stating that they have another appointment later, so they asked me to re-schedule, this is not very professional to do that - more professional would have been to offer a rescheduled time slot with a slight discount. On a positive note, my stylist is very skilled with both cut and color. My cut is really good and unique, I did not specify, but she somehow figured it and it looks great and novel, thank you! Color was good too.

The team at Dark Horse Salon & Spa did an amazing job with wedding hair and makeup for myself, 4 bridesmaids, and 2 moms! Madi, the wedding coordinator, communicated clearly ahead of time to set up my trials and ensure that we would have enough stylists and time to fit our group’s needs. On wedding day, everyone in the salon was welcoming and accommodating, and we stayed ahead of schedule the whole time. We were even allowed to bring in breakfast foods and mimosas for a fun, relaxed morning. The artists were incredibly talented, and everyone looked and felt stunning. We were so pleased with their work and highly recommend Dark Horse Salon & Spa for any bridal needs!

I got my hair cut yesterday and I love it so much! Hannah Curry is super nice and layed back, she did an amazing job and I felt comfortable while she cut my hair! She cut it exactly how i wanted it and styled it super cute with loose curls and a blowout. I love that she offered a warm towel over my face and warm chest pad while she washed my hair. 10/10 experience!!

NOT for curly hair After having them reschedule my appointment 3-4 separate times, I got a secure appointment slot. I confirmed three separate times that I would be getting a dry curly cut in order to have the cut match my natural curl texture. I confirmed this when they confirmed my appointment- that I would arrive with my curls freshly washed so the cut could be for curls. A quarter of the way through my cut, I look up from my phone to see that she had completely brushed my hair and was trimming the ends as you would with straight hair. I was in shock, and she has already started cutting so I froze, which is admittedly my mistake. I have had health issues, it has taken me years to get this length and thickness of hair back. I just washed it for the first time since my cut and it looks terrible, much more length gone that anticipated because I don’t think she calculated for shrinkage when curls dry. My curls are a boxy frizzy mess, worst cut I have gotten in years. She was very nice, this could be an excellent salon for straight hair but I would never go here for curls regardless of the stylist, after having them confirm three separate times what a dry curly cut was for the stylist to do this. $55 and I’m stuck searching for a different salon who can fix my hair.

Highly recommend Hannah Curry for your hair! I have curly hair and always get nervous for haircuts, but she eased my worries and gave me the best cut ever! She is fantastic

UPDATE: Janaye is no longer at Dark Horse, so I cannot vouch for or promise any services they provide moving forward from 5/26/24. Janaye, my stylist, is incredible! Everyone at the salon is very friendly. I love seeing Janaye because she is a great listener. She is always willing to let me ask numerous questions about the end result, maintenance, etc. Before coming to her, at the advice of a friend, I had had a terrible experience somewhere else. It has been such a relief to look forward to my hair appointments again! We recently took my hair back to a darker brown, closer to the original color. She had done the perfect blonde ombré look- and I loved it, but was ready for a change! She was so patient with me as I struggled to convince myself I would like it like my blonde. But I trusted her and it came out PERFECTLY! I love how healthy and shiny it is. As it's grown out over the last few weeks, it keeps looking better!

Bri is absolutely amazing!!! I have gone to many "5 star" salons in the metro area and this is the only place where I walked in with a picture of what I wanted and walked out with my hair looking like the picture. She listened to what I wanted and made it happen. This is my go to hair artist now.

✨Let me tell you guys about Madison ✨ I went and visited her for a 90 minute facial Dark Horse Salon & Spa . When I say it was the best facial I ever had, I mean that with no exaggeration. Not only was she very knowledgeable and comforting, she put me into such a relaxing state, that I thought about taking an Uber home. She has such a unique set of massage techniques and little things that make her stand out. The facial bed was so comfortable, soft and warm.my skin feels amazing and I can’t wait to come back in.
