I came in an hour after booking my first appointment at this salon. I was assigned to Yoshie and she was great at accomplishing exactly what I wanted with minimal direction from me beyond the formula shared by my other stylist in Rhode Island. It worked out great. Highly recommend!

Have been going to Dellaria for years. My regular stylist who was away so I was assigned to Debbie and have seen her twice. She is excellent, got a great haircut, is super professional and is super personable.

Best service!! I called to get some serious help with a terrible dye job from another salon. It was a disaster; it was all over black color botched job, and the front desk understood my dire situation and was really great getting me in quickly and with the best. Tuyen is a miracle worker!! Not only did she ensure I felt comfortable, but she let me ramble through what happened with the other salon and then she calmly explained her entire process, why she was doing each step, and checked with me along the way to make sure it was what I was looking for. My hair turned out perfectly. I can't even describe how nice it was to be handled with care after receiving poor service from the other place. I booked another appointment with Tuyen 6 weeks later, and the second I walked in, she remembered me and knew exactly how to treat my hair and suggested the cut that worked. 10/10! She's magical and she's a doll and so fun and everyone at the salon is amazing. It's expensive, but for a reason. I made the mistake once of not going to Dellaria, won't happen again :)

I have no complaints about the haircut. What I was unhappy about was that 2 times, I was charged $10 more than they told me my cut would be when I called to make the appointment. Then, aftercthe cut, when I asked why I was being charged the extra amount, when I said I had been quoted a certain amount, I was told prices went up...that quickly? I'm not going back.

I regularly see Allie for my pixie cut, and she is absolutely amazing. My elementary school aged daughter also gets her cuts here, and is always treated like a queen.

This was a complete nightmare. I have thick curly hair, which was never an issue in any other salon in the US or Europe. I booked a haircut at Dellaria in person ( I had an incident with them before but gave them the benefit of the doubt because I live nearby and it was convenient). the receptionist never told me they'd need extra time for my hair. again, in any other salon, it NEVER took much more time than anyone else's thick long hair, and even when I needed extra 20-30 mins or so, I was never charged extra. Ironically, those were higher-end venues. At Dellaria, they never said extra time meant extra money either, then tried to charge me $150 instead of $85 as initially promised. The manager refused to have a conversation with me and claimed, through her poor young receptionist, that she had told me about the price increase on the phone, when she never did. Even the employees were shocked. Prospective clients, I suggest you get the price in writing beforehand or record your conversations with the management of this salon (with consent obviously) so that they do not try to gaslight you later. Or better yet, avoid this place. I anticipate some sort of response to this review where they will make another attempt at gaslighting me and pretending I misunderstood, but I've studied enough legal theory to tell right from wrong.

stay away if you have curly/textured hair (3c and up). They scheduled me for a blowout and a haircut and when I showed up they just said they were not able to do it even though they had seen me and my hair before (I made the appointment in person).

I’ve come here twice, and both times I had inexperienced stylists. I always get the same haircut (long layers), but it looks weird when I get it done here. And I have to guide them through the cut, because they don’t know how to make it look like the quality I’m used to. My hair was choppy and the stylist tried to tell me that it’s because they blow dried my hair straight, and that it’s not naturally that straight so it would look fine when it’s natural or styled. I had to convince her that I always dry my hair bone straight, so she needed to fix it, I’m not sure why we had to go back and forth about that. You shouldn’t let a customer walk out knowing their hair is choppy. The stylists were nice to chat with, but really not worth the headache.

Shelley was very attentive to me. My hair is finally growing back in after losing it to chemo. I needed some cleanup and styling and she did a great job. I don’t look like Bernie Sanders any more!!!

Andy Tran is a master hair stylist and is exceptional at color, cuts, styling and any type of special event up-do!! I have found him to be the very best in the field! He works at both Brookline and Wellesley locations.

Dellaria has great stylists and a welcoming salon. I've gotten my haircut at both their Comm Ave location and Brookline location and loved both cuts! The staff is professional and supportive -- I once cut off 10+ inches to donate and my stylist offered to take before and after photos without me even asking.

How often in this day and age can you say you have gone to the same hairdresser at the SAME salon for almost 24 years? Well I can and the reason is Tuyen at Dellaria. She is really only one of the few people who always gives me the best haircut everytime. I don't even live in Brookline anymore but I make the trip in just for her. She is the best!!! Consistency is important!!

Ive been seeing Shelley for a few years now and she always does my hair exactly how I want. I have really long hair so Im nervous salons will cut too much off or thin it out too much, but she always listens and cuts the perfect amount to keep my hair looking healthy. Everyone else at the salon is always incredibly pleasant and I look forward to going!

I’ve been getting my hair done by Nicole for the past year and she slays it. I have never had a better haircut. If you want layers, pleeaaseee do yourself a favor and book with her! I have very thick hair and she gets it right every time. The blowout is incredible as well 🤩

Juliana helped me go from platinum blonde (bleached it myself at home for over a year) to a gorgeous light auburn. The first semi-permanent application didn't stick to the bleached hair well, and she made time for a re-do to achieve the color that I wanted within 2 weeks. She set clear expectations during the dyeing process and made me feel very at ease. Thanks Juliana!

There are many reasons I visit Brookline and on that list is getting a haircut at Dellaria with Tuyen. Sitting in her chair for two hours is relaxing and I really enjoy chatting with her. Everyone else I know who sees other hairdressers also continues to come back, and if that’s not high enough praise I’m not sure what is for a salon. I would highly recommend getting a haircut here, and getting food nearby right after. The location works out for a perfect afternoon.

Update, 6 days later: There is a monumentally crispy, crunchy CHUNK in the back, the dye is escaping in most areas, and my hair has been falling out at an incredibly alarming rate. I can’t believe I paid $185 for ineffective jet black, unwanted new texture, and impending baldness 😭 I had asked for my hair to be dyed back to root color after lightening it for the summer, and the stylist and I agreed that my roots are a very dark brown but not black. I also specifically told her that I had done a black box dye a few years ago, which is how I discovered that my hair is off-black. Two hours of trusting the process and some salon lighting that lied to me later, my hair is so jet black that I feel like a caricature of a Disney villain every time I look in the mirror—my features are completely washed out and the color is so synthetically homogenized that it could almost be a wig. I also had the unique discovering of discovering that the back of my head is now weirdly gummy, which has never happened before. I washed and dried my hair as soon as I got home to hopefully get rid of any extra color and styling product, but that didn’t help, so now I have ridiculously black hair with a horrible gummy texture. This is right before a week long vacation and I feel aesthetically incorrect and incredibly insecure about walking around with my hair so badly colored. Politely, I’ve seen ham less butchered than my hair at the deli.
