I am so so grateful for Deseo Salon! I’ve been coming to Alyssa for years now and love my hair. It’s such a big thing to trust your stylist and I absolutely trust her! She is kind, listens, and has a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Thank you so much for everything Alyssa!

I drive an over an hour and a half to get my hair done by Nikki ! i love my hair more then anything so that means i want someone i trust working on my head. once i found nikki it was game over i will never go to a different stylist. she’s an amazing listener and very creative. she books out far and so the only thing i can recommend to you is book your appointment today !!!

I’ve never been happier with a service than the color & cut Riley did on my hair today. The most beautiful blonde I have ever received, and I know it will grow out perfectly. Highly recommend Riley & Deseo Salon!

I came in to Deseo for a color correction project and hair extensions with Raegen and I am blown away! My hair looks better than it ever has. I can honestly say I have my dream hair now! If you’re needing your hair done, I cannot recommend Raegen and Deseo enough👏🏼

I am so thankful for Deseo and specifically Riley. I received a color correction by Riley because I had a nightmare experience at a beauty school. I had a consultation first where the another hairdresser gave me tips for how to work with what I had for the week leading up to my color correction, then I had my appointment. Riley made me feel so much better about how he was going to fix the bleached mess that was my hair. My hair color looks completely different now. I would post pictures but this is the internet and I want to forget the nightmare but it was truly night and day! I won’t forget Riley, who was so nice, personable and most importantly talented! If you get the chance to work with him you will be delighted!

I have been going to Deseo now for about three years and I cannot believe its taken me this long to write a review! Moving from NYC to Denver, I used to actually fly back to NY to get my hair cut, colored and highlighted- that's how picky I am with who does my hair. After a lot of searching I finally found Alyssa on Instagram and gave Deseo a try. I have found my beauty soul-mate in Alyssa. She understands my hair texture, understands what looks best for me, understands my manic need for change all the time and tells me straight up if I'm making bad choices! I trust her implicitly and sometimes just close my eyes and tell her to have her way with my hair! She is consummate professional, is a true expert and is probably the coolest person I know here. I highly recommend Alyssa, especially you blondes or wannabe blondes- she knows her stuff! Also, Deseo, it a super chill environment (not snobby like some of the ones you will find around here) and I love coming here.

I would not recommend this hair salon, they have no flexibility with their clients. I went to get a haircut + blow-dry, got to my appointment 15min late and the hair dresser would not blow my hair, saying that there was not enough time. I went ahead and had a hair cut since they would charge me for the whole service regardless due to their policy, which doesn't mention anything about being late and refusing services - just cancellations.

Obsessed with this place! Love the vibe and have been going here for about two years now. Alyssa is a phenomenal stylist who has years of experience and knows exactly what you want even if you don’t. My hair was damaged and it has come back to life because of her. Highly recommend booking here and especially with Alyssa!

I saw Margaret who did an amazing job! As someone who has a lot of hair that is thick and wavy, it’s hard to find a stylist. She knew exactly what I wanted and made me feel comfortable and incredible afterwards! She also recommended products for my specific hair needs as well. Already on the books for my next visits!

I have been going to Jerra at Deseo Salon since the spring and I have always walked out with a smile on my face! Not only has Jerra done incredible work on my hair (i call it hair magic :) ) but the salon has a very friendly and welcoming environment. Great place and great people!

I’ve been going to Deseo for a couple years now, and Jerra is my hair color wizard! We have fun trying different balayage combos and highlights. I’m pretty open minded when it comes to color, and she has nailed every single idea I’ve come to her with. On my last appointment, I could not find my inspiration picture, and she somehow KNEW what I was going for. I sent my picture to her later, and we both laughed at how closely my color matched. I would follow her to the ends of the earth, she is THAT good. Deseo has the most talented staff!

Hayden is AMAZING! As much as I would love to gatekeep, I would recommend him to anyone and everyone! My hair was an absolute disaster when I found him. He truly brought it back to life and made me love my hair again. I look forward to every appointment I have now, his upbeat energy makes him so fun to be with while he works his magic!

Josh McNabb did an amazing job with my hair. He perfected the color I wanted and it blends so nicely. He has superb attention to detail and leaves you with a high quality service. Would highly recommend him!

My experience at this salon has not been great. I find that their stylists are not top notch and don't use the latest techniques, attention to detail is lacking and so is listening to the customer. The salon manager doesn't seem to care and thinks demanding customers are too much to handle. Too bad, because it's a cute neighbourhoody salon that could be so much better. My first experience was with a stylist that did my roots. She did a good job, but she never asked me any questions about what I want, how I like my hair styled and frankly as a first time customer she could have put in more effort to convert me to a regular. Maybe she had an off day but that's not the friendly vibe I have learned to expect in Denver. The manager did refund me for the appointment. My next venture was with Will (no longer at the salon) he was a talented colorist and asked tons of questions. However, when it came to haircuts, the first was uneven on one side and I had to come back to fix it and the second didn't give my any layers like I asked. I was recommended Hayden by my neighbour. He was younger, seemed more hip and I thought it would be a good match. He was fine with roots, and when he cut my hair while he gave me a lot of layers, he had them fall at the neck where they flip out, I has asked not to have that happen. I know it can take a little time to calibrate with your stylist but it seemed like a miss. I wanted to get a balayage, and wanted something very natural and sunkissed. I had pictures that I showed him. What I got was very blond highlights, he used foil instead of painting it on, the foil ended up in my hair way too long. The hair was over processed, dry and brittle, I had tons of breakage and crispy hair. This is unacceptable!!! The manager's response was that "we can't make you happy" and while she refunded me, there was not responsibility taken for what happened. Once you screw up someone's hair it's expensive to fix and takes time. I went somewhere else where the stylist immediately knew what was wrong, and is on a patch to give me the hair I want. She also noted the cuts were done old school and she cut my hair in a different way that made it style perfectly. If you want top notch stylist and a salon dedicated to service, and continued education of they stylists this is not it.

I went to Jessica and she was absolutely amazing! This is the best experience I’ve had at a salon! Everyone was so kind and welcoming. I couldn’t be happier with my hair coloring and cut!

I’m leaving this review because I originally set up an appointment with them but decided that it was not within my budget so I cancelled my appointment two weeks in advance. I have contacted them three separate times over the phone to get my $150 deposit back which I didn’t really understand why I had to put a deposit down for my spot but I did it. Well, three separate times they told me that I would get my deposit back 3-5 days and the last time I asked them why I haven’t gotten it they said it was a glitch in the system and I should’ve gotten it but that the manager would do it immediately but I have still not gotten my deposit back. Honestly the ladies are nice and friendly and this doesn’t reflect them at all but I just would love my money back for an appointment that I canceled way before. It has been a month since I cancelled it. **UPDATE: SEPTEMBER 2024** Never received my money back. Never coming here again.

Jerra is a goddess. We first met when i came in to cut my extremely long hair down to a cute bob, and I've never looked back! She is meticulous and thorough in producing exactly what I came in to do. I've been seeing her for almost 2 years at Deseo, and she never disappoints. I like to change up my color and cut, and she's always so thoughtful in crafting my vision from an inspo photo to suit my skin tone and face shape. My husband gets his hair cut at Deseo, too, by Hayden, and it's always perfect. Grows out like a dream and makes him look so handsome. 10 out of 10, fabulous salon with amazing service and staff.

Mallory is one of the best stylists I’ve been to during my time in Denver. She always delivers on exactly what the client asks for and is such a delight to talk to. My curly hair is healthy and happy because of her expertise and at-home hair care tips. Nothing but rave reviews for Mallory!

Deseo hands down one of the best salons in Denver. I have been coming here to get my hair cut and colored since 2019 and haven't looked back since. The staff is friendly, the environment inviting, and my stylist Mallory is absolutely incredible. I cannot recommend them enough!

I can't remember the last time I left a hair salon loving my hair and feeling so confident. I have fine hair, and not a lot of it. Alyssa is so knowledgeable about what works for fine hair and is realistic with you when you provide inspo pictures. She also guided me on products that will work with my hair in this dry climate without weighing my hair down.

I went to see Maureen for my curls after a long journey of trying to find someone in Denver (including “curl experts”..). She is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! She gave me the perfect dry cut, washed my hair (all while giving me an amazing head massage), and then styled my curls so meticulously and carefully- I’ve just never had my curls loved on so much. My curls are falling perfectly in this cut and I’m excited to keep going to Maureen.
