The business states they are open but when I arrived they weren’t. I called and was told someone would be there at 10:30, it was 9 at the time. I arrived at 10:30 no one was there called again at 10:45 with no response. Don’t waste your time. Update:The owner text me at 4am about this review! The number on the text message is the number on the window of the business. Additional update: Still texting my phone, she is now blocked.

I would never come here again. I went back and forth about writing this review bc I’m not trying to take away business from anyone. But I paid $400 to get my hair washed and braided. I got my hair done at the end of April and now I have to take it down because it looks a mess to me. The pictures are below for what I asked for verses what I got. The parts are so crooked and when I spoke to her about it she said that’s not the way your part is on anyway. I got knotless braids so it doesn’t matter if I decide to wear my hair down the middle and I asked for a left part the parts should still be straight. She was willing to redo it but after all the time and money I wasted initially I didn’t want to return. I’ve never had the issue before and I will not be returning. I asked for the last photo and the service I received are the first 2 photos.

Dirtiest salon in Dallas. Toilets don't work, Floors are filthy, screaming babies, No TV etc...Quoted me $80 but tried to charge $120 when I was finished (babysitting). Smh Y'all STAY AWAY!!

I spoke with destiny when I got my hair done some time ago. She told me that She would be the one doing my hair and that she was able to do it. When I booked my appointment she Became a little disrespectful when I asked her. Why wasn't she going to be the one to do my hair? Because I was very particular. And she tried to assure me that the young lady could do. My hair and she could not. She put too many braids at the top that it looked like. A wig with not enough hair at the back. It became a debate with destiny. They refused to do my hair right. When I talked to the young lady about how she was doing my hair. She acted as if she was going to do it. The way that I explained it to destiny and destiny did not relate to her how. I wanted my hair. It was so many braids. It was unbearable at the top. They were very aggressive and disrespectful. I talked to destiny again this week. Trying to see if she was the same person when I was looking for someone to do a touch up on my hair. She sent me a disrespectful message when I wasn't going to book with her. Because I realized it was her when I called the number. They are people that would. Do you wrong and try to make it look as if you are the problem. Do people right And you would not have to continue to make up lies to defend yourself.

She was very nice. I came in for two feed in-braids which came out perfect. Prices are high though I asked how much does she charge for box braid and she said it starts at $240 😳and that’s just mid back 😬

They are good at braiding but they will quote you a price over the phone and change it when you get there. Me and my daughters drove 2 half hours they said my daughter corn rolls was 1 price of 150 and when she was done she paid 240. This was my second time going here and when I went the first time they told me 280 and I had to pay 365.00. They need to be clear if the price is more state that before starting someone’s hair who’s to say a person has the extra they asking for last min… we won’t be returning along with the owner stopped my daughter hair for over a hour to take someone else and still charge full price for my other daughter. Overall bad customer service..

I am new to the Dallas area and I was looking for a great place to get my hair braided. I found Destiny African Braiding. They are great at what they do, so warm and inviting, and I was extremely satisfied with the service. I will be coming back to them every time. They made me laugh the whole time, so the time there went so fast. I got tree braids because my hair was so long. Their picture is all legit, and I have received so many compliments about my hair. I will be adding photos this weekend.

I called at 6 AM to ask if there was any walk-ins available, I was told that there were and to come in at 9 AM. I show up at 9 AM and there’s only one lady there who has no idea of me coming, the lady that I spoke to on the phone isn’t even at the store and doesn’t reply to the text messages. Instead, the lady that’s already there tells me to come back at 1 o’clock. This is very unprofessional and unorganized. Horrible first impression and I didn’t even want to get my braids done here I ended up going somewhere else and the service was beautiful. Happy that I changed my mind, I don’t recommend coming here unless you don’t care about poor communication.

I got Senegalese twist it’s was so small and neat then what I was expecting. It was also a good price and the place was nice and clean. I highly recommend getting your hair done here.

I have used them twice and both times I gotten knotless braids always in purple. They work quick. I have thick hair just above my shoulders and they get it done in about 6 hours. Theprices and I will use again. I was lucky to get a next day appt.

I wouldn’t recommend no one come to this shop, Bad customer service I experience the worst here The owner Had me to come and didn’t show up she showed up hours later texting me saying she’s available SMH I had a little sympathy and took my butt and came back and she wasn’t ready it was people there and wait a few more hours and then decide to leave because I’ve waited for so long so she said come back the next morning I did at 7 AM she started on my hair communicating with others taking breaks eating breaks SMH didn’t finish till 4 PM I am very upset because the price she gave me the day before I was attending, to pay So as I’m sitting out through all of that She decide To switch up the pay, she told me and charge me 380 for a style wasn’t worth it and took many hours. which is crazy and I patiently waited and it was very wrong for her to tell me another price after all. my braids aren’t even neat she knew it wasn’t I watch her take a picture of another customer Hair and not mine. and she charge me all that the freaking money you people watch who you pay your money to and make sure you ask them remind yourself before you sit in a chair So you can be aware because honestly she gave me a different price after all just too much money for something wasn’t worth it

It is so bad I want to give you a zero but that is not possible so I give you a one, my hair is completely thinner then what it used to be after getting these knotless braids, I honestly will never be coming back. Be warned if you’re not from that area. If you’re any color besides black they will make fun of you, just because Im mixed and not as dark as them. I truly respected this business and don’t mean any hate but they could definitely be more friendly.

I’ve gone twice. The first time I had corn rows and a little bit of knotless braids. My middle part was crooked and the price was expensive. I wasn’t trippin because she got me in quickly. The second time I went, I asked for 5 feed in braids and showed a picture of the style I wanted. After the first braid was straight back, I offered her the picture again and she ignored me. She did my style straight back, and still charged the regular price, although I brought my own hair because the first time the hair from their shop was cheap looking. I think they could benefit from better customer service. They also don’t do stitch braids. I doubt I’ll return. Although my hair still came out okay, it isn’t what I asked and expected to pay for. The tucking also isn’t done fully, so some of my colored hair shows. I wouldn’t recommend this shop.

Originally, I was very happy to find a braid shop so close to my house. The first time Queen did my hair (April 2023), I got twist (my first time having them) and they were beautiful. But that following week, a few of them unraveled and I went up to the shop and Queen retwisted them, no problem. The beginning of June, I called her to schedule a retouch. She told me to come up and she will look at my hair. When I got up there, she told me a retouch could not be done. We decided to do box braids at a discounted rate due to 3 of the twist came completely a loose and the hair came out and several were unraveling. She offer a 6am appt which I agreed to (2 weeks out). The night before my 6a appt, she texted me after 11pm asking to reschedule for 9a because she just got home from the shop. I asked how long would the braids take & I told her I had a 12p appt. She said 3 hrs, I told her I could not do 9a, but she then offer 7a, I agreed. She got to the shop at 720a, they started working about 730a. Queen did not do my hair, someone else did and once Queen was done with her client, who came in & was told she forgot her appt & to come back in 3 hrs, she began helping with my hair. By this time, it was past 11a, my hair was not finished, but Queen told me I could go to my appt (with unfinished hair) and come back. I had to cancel my appt. By this time, I was 4 hrs in. My hair was not completed until after 12p, my middle part was crooked. I paid, I told Queen it was crooked and she said she would fix it then, I had been there 5 hours, my husband was there to pick me up, I told her I could come back another day, she said NO. Now along with all of this, she has a 2-3 month old baby that is at the shop all the time and she constantly has to stop and tend to the baby. Even the person that did my hair stopped to help with the baby. Honestly, they do good work that I have see, but the customer service can be way better. I felt I was spending good money for services but my time was changed, I was there more than 2 hrs longer than I was told I would be and due to a mistake on their part, I had to get it corrected on their time. Besides this mistake, they do good work, customer service is not good.

This is my third time getting but length small knot less braids, the prices are reasonable and the braids are neat and not heavy. I also get what I want. And it’s also a very clean environment and good cousymut service. I highly recommended this place. Thank you!
