I recently got married on 11/23/24 and used Destiny & Light for my hair and makeup. I didn’t have a trial done because I knew they were going to make us all look stunning, and they did— I wanted a natural/soft glam makeup look and I loved how it turned out! I also wanted a low bridal updo, Emma took her time and really did an awesome job on everyone’s hair, my hair turned out amazing! I would highly recommend any bride looking for hair and makeup to book with Destiny & Light.

The work that Priscilla, Amber, and Ashley did was more than I could have asked for. I don't know how but the hair and makeup looked better than the trial run. They were on punctual and flexible. They drove to my friend's house where we were getting ready and they even finished ahead of schedule. We loved them and recommend them.

Absolutely loved Emma she did an amazing job with my hair and makeup for my wedding!! Top tier would have her do it no questions asked!!! I recommend her to my friends who are getting married!! She was very professional any times I had questions or was unsure of something she made me feel comfortable voicing my opinion and helping solve any issue I may have had! As well as Amber who did the hair of all my bridesmaids she also did an amazing job! Emma and Amber were super efficient we finished with more time left over to do touch ups and make sure we all loved our look! Emma truly did an outstanding job I recommend her fully!! Her attention to the tiniest details was spectacular!

Destiny & Light made my wedding day hair and make up so perfect. From day 1 at my hair and make up trial Priscilla and her team made me feel like family and exceeded my expectations. I rarely wear make up and I was worried about it being too much, but Priscilla made sure I felt comfortable. My bridal party was very satisfied with their hair & makeup as well (and some of these girlies are picky). I highly recommend Destiny & Light for your special occasions! Emma did an AMAZING job on my hair and makeup for my wedding day, and her team did such an amazing job on my girls. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to help in making us all feel beautiful on my wedding day! She even made sure I was 100% happy with my lip color, after I decided to go in a slightly different direction. So attentive and easy to talk to! Would 100% recommend Emma, and the team at D&L over and over and over again!

Emma did my hair and makeup for my wedding in December and it was phenomenal. She made my dreams come true and gave me the look I always imagined for myself. She was extremely fun to be around and made everything comfortable for me and my party. She played amazing music to keep the good vibes flowing. Her and the rest of the ladies were very efficient on my wedding day and me and my bridesmaids were done with plenty of time to spare. I could not have asked for a better to team to do my entire wedding party’s hair and makeup. Everyone was so amazing and professional. Even with a large party they were able to get everyone done quickly and on time. Each of the girls looked absolutely stunning. I found Destiny & Light through the preferred vendor list from our venue at Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club and through a friend recommendation. Emma was an absolute blessing to work with. I gave her inspo pictures and she immediately knew what to do. Her talent shined through not just at the trial but especially during our wedding day and I could not be more grateful. She made me feel so comfortable and was an instant friend. I could not recommend her enough!! Thanks to Destiny & Light, me, my bridal party, my mom & my husband's mom looked gorgeouss and felt like our best selves. If you're considering them, don't even hesitate and just do it !

I had the privilege of working with Destiny & Light for my small wedding ceremony with immediate family. Despite being the weekend after Hurricane Helene, both team members Emma and Jackie communicated throughout the week to let me know they would still be available despite the hurricane. I had a couple girls who couldn’t make the flight due to the circumstances, but that was no issue for their team. They made everybody feel comfortable and look absolutely beautiful, and they were the ultimate hype team as well. Not to mention, they didn’t act inconvenienced to be there, and it made all the difference in the entire experience. I am so very thankful to this group. They are professional, kind, and extremely talented (nobody has ever made me feel as pretty as these girls did on my special day). 10/10 would recommend.

I would highly recommend this group to any bride looking for a glam squad for her big day! I had 11 people who had their hair and makeup done, and the ladies from Destiny & Light made everyone look BEAUTIFUL and stayed true to the timeline. My lead stylist, Jackie, was incredible! She made sure I was feeling beautiful and confident for my big day. She added in a few special touches to my hair and makeup which was so fun as well. Her energy was what I appreciated the most! She was so calm the entire time which helped me stay relaxed throughout the morning. The glam squad brought such a fun, relaxed and positive energy to the bridal suite which was so appreciated!

Priscilla truly listened to what my daughter wanted and gave her exactly the look she’d been dreaming about. She was an absolutely breathtaking bride, with a stunning group of bridesmaids around her. My daughter who was the bride had her hair done with extensions and styled along with he make up done by Jackie. I also had my hair and makeup done by Jackie. Lucy styled hair for four bridesmaids. They were both very professional, personable and provided great care to us all. They took their time but kept on schedule so it was a relaxing and enjoyable time. The make up and hair for each of us was what we requested,well, even better than we thought it would be. I would highly recommend them for your special event!

They did so amazing! The team was so accommodating and made my visions come to life and then some! I’m pretty picky about my hair and makeup and they did what I wanted down to the details. Super easygoing if you ask to tweak something. The day of my wedding the person supposed to be helping the main stylist, Jackie, was sick. Jackie asked her to stay home and called another stylist to help her to keep me and my bridal party healthy. Even with the delay, they didn’t skip a beat. They were on time and efficient while taking their time to make everyone’s vision come true

Emma and Laurel were amazing, fun, and professional! Despite sweating bullets, my makeup stayed flawless all night long. They are both truly skilled at what they do. I felt beautiful and confident, and the makeup lasted from photos to last call!

Oh my goodness: do you want to look like a queen on your wedding day? Do you wanna have the best team holding you down and making sure you look your absolute best? Then Destiny And Light is your team! Priscilla, Jackie, and Lucy: what a team! 😍 And every other team member in between that helped with corresponding emails, planning, appointments, and everything in between! Every single guest that saw me were just speechless. My own dad didn’t even know what to say during our first look except “WOW” I can’t help but cry every time I see my photos because I truly felt unstoppable that day! These ladies worked diligently through two massive hurricanes and made sure that nothing fell through the cracks. By the end of my Getting ready, I felt like I had known Jackie for years! Some of the hardest things after the wedding that no one tells you about is moving on and not staying in contact with your vendors who have worked so hard to make sure your dream comes to life!! To Jackie and Lucy: I wish you nothing but success in whatever you choose to do and send many holiday. Blessings your way. Priscilla, you already know you’re a queen, but you have some of the most amazing women working with you. And the only way that’s possible is knowing that there is a leader up holding those values. Priscilla was responsive with clear, concise, and consistent communication - even though I had asked more last minute for my bridal (and bridesmaids’) hair and makeup. She was flexible and so willing to help me. I think her and her team did a great job of not only hearing what our vision was, but providing feedback and elevating the looks. All of our hair and makeup easily lasted the entire day! Her team was willing to come to my home in Bartow and then went to the venue in Seffner with nothing but positive attitudes. We loved the energy they all brought!

I had a truly disappointing experience with this hair company on my wedding day. Despite our appointment being scheduled for 8 am, they texted at 8:05 am to say they were 15 minutes away—and then went to the wrong location. This delay pushed our start time back by an hour. The results were far from what I had expected. My hair looked nothing like the picture I had provided; in fact, the style was so unattractive that I had to wear my veil throughout the night to cover it. My mother was also unhappy with her hairstyle, but due to the time crunch, she was stuck with it. My maid of honor and two bridesmaids ended up going back to our suite to curl their own hair because their styles fell apart. This company’s lack of professionalism and disregard for timelines caused an immense amount of stress on my wedding day. I was supposed to be ready by 11:15 am, but we didn't finish until 12 pm. This meant I lost/missed out on bridal portraits. This also causes a strain on all other vendors including makeup and my wedding planner. The owner's response to my complaint was unsatisfactory; I only heard from an assistant who suggested I "account for human error." I would never recommend this company to anyone. Professionalism and respect for timelines are crucial, especially on a day as important as a wedding.

Makeup stayed in place even through water gun exit! Priscilla and her team were amazing. Priscilla made my hair vision come to life and my makeup stayed put even when I got absolutely drenched during our water gun exit. I couldn’t believe it - I looked the exact same after the water dried! Priscilla was able to work with my naturally curly hair and styled my hair without heat the morning of my wedding, which took all the stress out of trying to apply my hair products perfectly. I recommend reading all the fine print so you don’t get caught by surprise with contracts, and be careful sorting through emails since there are a ton of auto-replies that have older covid policy information. They have a robust portal system than can be confusing if you don’t stay on top of it, which is what happened to me (I hired a full-time wedding planner that didn’t have access to the portal). I recommend having pictures of EXACTLY what you want for them to reference. Priscilla was great about me asking for adjustments the day of to make sure my hair looked exactly the way I hoped. Thank you Priscilla & the team for making us look fantastic!
