Work trip visit to LA, day before I fly back home l decide to get a facial. After much research & reviewing reading, Desuar Los Angeles Spa became the chosen one. Booked an appointment online for 10am. l arrived 10 min, was greeted by a wonderful smiling receptionist. She provided me a tour, super cute, not over the top, it's a vibe. Changed into my robe, sat comfy reading a magazine sipping some tea. Alejandra, another friendly, personable, bubbly soul greeted me & escorted me to my room for the one hour lympathic facial. She analyzed my skin, gave full detail of what she felt would work best, the list products & purpose of each. I clicked with her from the start. Alejandra hands are magical, she drained my puffiness, had me hydrated & sculpt. She set some pretty high standards for my next lympathic facial back home & im looking forward to retuning in the future to Desuar Los Angeles Spa @ The Westin Bonaventure!!!

My experience at Desuar DTLA spa was luxurious and relaxing. Such a gem in DTLA. Clean, Zen, staff is kind and knowledgeable and the owner is welcoming and personable even over the phone (she has 2 other locations). I highly recommend for “me days,” dates or just a little break from the city with friends.

This spa is inside the Westin, though it’s not affiliated with the hotel. The space is dated and could use an update. It was very clean, both inside the common spaces and in the treatment room. I booked a package with four treatments and left a deposit totaling $342. Kristy, my massage therapist, suggested changes based on my problems areas and she said would likely cost less or the same. I agreed as long as the price didn’t increase. Kristy’s massage was fantastic—she’s truly exceptional and the best part of my visit!! However, at checkout, I was charged $42 more without a clear explanation, and the credit card machine wasn’t working, which added to the frustration but not in anyone’s control. I did not agree to a $42 price increase, but didn’t feel up for debating it after spending time in a spa to relax. Without Kristy, this would’ve been a two-star experience. Entrance tip : do not follow the address which says it is located on Figueroa Avenue. The only folks who can access that entrance are those staying at the Westin with room key access. The entrance is on Flower. Once you enter on flower, the stairs or elevator can take you to 3 where the spa is located.

I had a 75 minute sports massage with Sarai today. She was absolutely amazing! I have been a massage therapist for 20 years, and I am certain that a massage as effective and skilled as her is not common. She’s been a therapist 10 years. I’m extremely impressed with her level of intuition when she explored problematic areas in my upset back. I might even steal a few of her “moves”. The facility is also quite comfortable, staff is very helpful and engaging as well. A bit odd situation with the locker area being coed, but I was there for a great massage, and that was definitely delivered. Thank you Sarai!

Alejandra was the best! I booked the fire and Ice facial through class pass but because I used tret my esthetician suggested that we switch to the lymphatic facial to make sure there wasn’t any negative reactions. She had magic hands and gave me a great massage, also some of the most thorough extractions I’ve had. She was very bubbly and made me want to come back.

My first attempted the shower was unsuccessful because there was no hot water in any of the shower stalls. There relaxation room was not private and there were people that were not there for massages walking through like it was a thorough fair. My massage therapist Kathy was great, the woman who checked me out, was very helpful and helping me find a shower stall in a different location that did have hot water. Massage was great, the spa shower area is rundown (the handicap shower was not functional) I’m giving three stars because the massage was excellent.

No one was at the desk upon arrival, there was a line of people waiting to check in, service started 20 minutes late and I did not receive the correct service, Nor did I confirm a change in service. I was charged a $30 "rescheduling fee" but did not receive the service I rescheduled. There was no manager on site, I was told someone would reach out, it has been a week with no attempt to contact me or resolve the issue. They were not apologetic or proactive about fixing the issue. Sauna doesn’t get hot, lockers don't work and the facilities are old and feel unclean. When I arrived, my scheduled massage therapist did NOT ask me anything, she didn't speak English and made no attempt to communicate. The one thing I asked was that my service still be 50 min as scheduled even though THEY were 20 min late. I booked via classpass as I had points to use but this is irrelevant, they treat classpass members sub par, they do not even give robes and sauna access unless booked additionally. If you cannot PROPERLY accommodate classpass users then REMOVE YOUR BUSINESS FROM THE APP. Terrible service, Do not recommend.

I only wish I knew my masseuse’s name. She was so so so good. It was undoubtedly the best massage I have ever had. After flying & a lot of long road trips I was especially tight & she fixed me right up. I didn’t utilize any of the other features, but having a spa right in the hotel that was amazing is priceless. Highly recommend!

I was really looking forward to this based on the reviews, however it was not what I expected. The venue is very 'vintage' and old - like a hotel bar converted into a massage place. My masseuse did not speak English at all. She did not ask me any questions about pressure or focus areas. She used her elbows and forearm for most of the massage, and was massaging directly on my spine (very unsafe). The lotion/oil she was using smelled off / old too. It was a very expensive massage, and did not meet my expectations at all.

Lovely spa. My sister and I booked a couples massage. It was great and the available add-ons made the experience even better. We enjoyed the steam room and sauna after our massage.

Location: a little hard to find. Signage in the hotel lobby did not show the spa. The inner area of the spa looks like rickety old hotel lobby. I felt very exposed in my bathrobe. Spa foyer: clean, if a little cluttered. No one at reception when I arrived for my appointment. Customer service: receptionist was very nice but failed to explain where to go after I undressed. Massage: unbelievably good! My masseuse was Kathy. She is a tiny woman-under 5’ (I am a plus sized lady, 5’6”). She is small but mighty!! I got the massage I needed for my aching back and leg. I felt so much better after the massage. Worth all the not-so-great rest of the experience.
