Diane gives great cuts. She never cuts off too much and I've never left regretting booking an appt. I've had some bad haircuts but I never have to worry with her. She's also so lively and a lot of fun to talk to.

Growing up, I had a phobia of letting people cut my hair. Finding someone I could trust with my hair seemed like an impossible task until I met Alisia. She did an amazing job by making me feel comfortable and did an even better perm job. If I could give her 100 stars I would. The salon was a great experience as well. Everyone was so nice. Definitely recommending her to my friends and family!!

I'm here visiting from out of town and was in need of a haircut. Googled and Grouponed searched, came across "A little Zen". Read the reviews and called to make an appointment, spoke with Alisia and she was able to give me a next day appointment. I told her I was apprehensive because I had long hair and was wanting to go shorter, told her I may cry.. She assured me this was one of the things she loved to do. I went into the shop, was greeted with enthusiasm and warmth. I showed Alisia a picture of what I wanted, she took no time at all to transform my hair. Well 15 inches later, I have a new "Do", and I didn't even cry.

My experience here was amazing to say the least! A nice, new looking building. You can find them on the second floor, they have a cute little sign on their door. It's adorable inside, with cute butterfly's everywhere and dope looking signs hanging. My hairstylist was Alisia, she offered me a beverage (water coffee juice) I was so pleasantly surprised. I took coffee and it was delicious. She was friendly, talkative, knowledge, and left my hair looking AND feeling amazing! She did a overall highlight and trim, it looks the best I've ever had it! Thank you, Alisia! I even met the owner Diane and she was so kind and funny! My overall day was made by my hair appointment. I will be coming back!‍

**2nd edit 11/15/18 6:51 pm** Shawnee fixed both my hair and my eyebrows. I am much more satisified with both now. She Made sure to offer me the mirror and that everything was exactly what i wanted before leaving. She also warned me that to correct the cut would take more off. Much better experience. Thanks!!! **Edit 11/14/18 9:14 am** Shawnee reached out to me and offered to make things better. She was very polite in her text messages. This shows a great deal of professionalism which is very important to me. I will adjust my rating following a follow up visit. So I had my hair done by Shawnee Mae. Its definitely not bad, but not sure if ill be back. The good: The color does look good. She was very friendly. She listened to me babble on the whole time I was there. I paid with a Groupon. The price is very reasonable even if I didnt. The not so good: I asked for a dead end trim. She cut my hair with more of a v pattern in the back. I dont like when my hair is unlevel because buns can get difficult. She did my eyebrows as well but didn't show them to me. I didnt think about it at the time. Well, I got home and they are still a lot thicker then i like. When she was done, she never showed me the back of my hair at all. She never even gave me a mirror to look at it. I'm not tender headed, thankfully, but she was a quite rough with brushing my hair. However, my scalp was a little tender due to having just had it dyed, so it did sting a little. If you bought a Groupon and have even moderately long hair, be prepared to pay more. She does mention that in her Groupon, that it only covers 3 oz, but unless you're a stylist yourself, I dont think you'll be able to judge how much hair dye you may need. Just a few minutes after she is done, she was already wanting to schedule another appointment. While I was talking with her, I explained im a stay at home mom and what not. I also shared I hadnt had it dyed in roughly 10 months. Instead of saying "when would you..." I would have felt more comfortable with "would you like to schedule another appointment or wait?". It felt awkward having to say tell her I couldn't due to finances. Like I said, its not a bad job but I'm on the fence about whether I will return or not.

I went yesterday to this salon and the women in there are AMAZING! I had my hair done by Shawnee and she knows exactly what she is doing. I reccomend this place to anyone who is looking for a hair stylist. I will be a customer for life!! She was very personable and it was a great experience..you feel at ease!! Thank you, Shawnee!!
