Jo was amazing! They listened to what I was looking for and worked with me to find the best cut to suit my needs. I waited until after my appointment to write this, as I like to see what the cut looks like after I wash it myself. I still love it! I went here because I am incredibly lazy when it comes to my hair, and I heard Jo was great at delivering "lived in" cuts. Jo gave me a haircut that looked good when he styled it, and also just air dried after the shower. I'll be back!

The environment was so fun and relaxing! Everyone is creative and welcoming. I got an INCREDIBLE short cut and fashion color with Kendall. Parking on site, remarkably talented stylists and kind owner.

Absolutely obsessed with this salon. Yoshi gave me the best cut, I’ve never felt more like myself in my life! They are not afraid to give you an “out there” requested cut while taking their own creative freedom when you give it.

I followed my favorite stylist downtown to Disco and I'm so happy I did! The salon is in a converted church decorated with disco balls. The atmosphere is so peaceful, soothing and personal. I would not have chosen such a fancypants place if I hadn't followed Aly here because I'm the worst kind of high maintenance-- I refuse to acknowledge that I'm not happy-go-lucky and no-nonsense. I walked in and felt warmly welcomed and I knew I was doomed to driving an hour from Marietta forever for this experience!

In the past I have been fortunate to work in salons for many years until I moved to Atlanta and changed careers. Thus began the search for someone new to whom I could entrust my hair. My tresses are thick with a bit of natural wave and curl, and it requires someone with confidence and know-how to give them the proper treatment. A quick Google search landed me on the Disco Salon website and I discovered Jo! I liked what I saw of their Instagram and messaged to inquire about a consultation. They replied quickly with enthusiasm to set up a consultation. Once I was there we talked through a plan and pricing and scheduled an appointment. On the day of my appointment I walked away so pleased with not only my hair, but the conversation to boot. Jo is a fantastic human who so obviously enjoys what they do. Thanks so much!!!! I'll be back for more! ALSO - Even though I was there to see Jo for my haircut, everyone at the salon was so nice and welcoming! When I arrived for each of my appointments (one consultation and one cut) I was greeted warmly by another staff member (Jo was finishing up with a client), offered something to drink, and shown where I could have a seat to wait. Thanks so much to everyone there!

I’ve been going to Jo for years. They’ve always been mindful of my wants and needs when deciding how to approach my cut, rather than pushing a predetermined idea of what they want to do. When they have had suggestions for new things to try, they’ve done a great job of explaining and showing to me what they have in mind first. I feel like a lot of stylists expect more of their clients than clients can actually afford in terms of time and money, but haircuts, their maintenance, and product suggestions always take into account what my capacity actually is, not an idealized version of what it could be. Also, importantly, they know how to cut curly hair! I’m glad I’ve trusted Jo on my journey from accepting short haircuts that didn’t account for my curls to finally having the long, curly hair that I’ve always wanted.

The whole salon is a sanctuary for queer folk and I always leave feeling more empowered ! Aly the Hair Clown is so talented, considerate and affirming. They listen to each client and focus on what the client wants and what would make them feel affirmed! They are so kind, and I feel more comfortable in my hair than I ever have thanks to them(:

Jo Wilson gave me an amazing gloss/toner which brightened me up tremendously! My daughter and DIL are long time clients of his and their hair and styles are gorgeous! And DISCO apparently is the CHURCH OF HAIR :) LOVE THIS SALON and easy to find location! Go to church and get that hair baptized by Jo!

Kendall killed it! Super thoughtful onboarding form, excellent communication and effort to understand my needs, superb results. Very few stylists are able to tame my short thick hair on the first try, but Kendall nailed it. Couldn’t be more pleased. Thank you! ✨💕

I am not usually a Google reviewer however, I felt Disco Salon and Kendall especially deserved the HIGHEST of reviews. I just recently moved to Atlanta and have had such an issue finding a salon I really loved and had people I could even see myself being friends with. I was so excited when I found disco and immediately booked a new client appointment with Kendall. Well apparently I put the time in my calendar wrong and showed up an HOUR LATE TO MY APPOINTMENT. Most stylists would have turned me away, understandably so their time is just as precious as mine. But, Kendall came out and gave me their time, attention and really listened to me when I was explaining what I was looking for in my haircut and they nailed it, I absolutely love my hair. One of the kindest humans and kindest salons I will be happy to throw my money at. THANK YOU!

It was my first time visiting Disco Salon. Josh gave me a beautiful cut and style. He was kind and patient as we reviewed options of what type of cut I wanted. He also took the time to show me ways of maintaining the style on my own. The space was very unique and welcoming. I would definitely recommend to others, and I look forward to going back!

place is extremely overpriced and out of the 2 haircuts i've gotten here they have basically disregarded any reference pictures i showed or directions i gave. i have to spend months of my life looking chopped up, months of hair growth down the drain. on the positive everyone is more or less nice, the location is beautiful, and the haircuts are good as long as you ask for something they are actually capable of. but that doesn't really overcome the fact that i have to wear a haircut that i didn't want for several months that i paid several hundreds of dollars for

Highly recommend!!! This place is great. Shout out to Kat for saving the day. I came in after a disaster cut from somewhere else. Kat immediately knew how to fix it and color just how I wanted. She did a phenomenal job and I LOVE my hair now. Wish I came here first but will definitely be back.

I usually cut my own hair but I trusted Kendall with my hair today. They did an absolutely amazing job. I can’t remember a time when I’ve been this happy with my hair before. Kendall was respectful and kind and listened to exactly what I wanted from the appointment. I will 100% be returning!

Easy booking process and straightforward pricing. I saw Kat for my very first pixie cut. I had never had anything past a simple trim - it was time for the "big chop" as they say. I was going into the appointment nervous, excited, and second guessing myself. She made me feel extremely comfortable from the moment I sat in her chair for a consultation. We went over lengths and styling options and she got to work. I went from wearing my lovely brown curly hair in a bun for 25 years to feeling confident and freeee. THANK YOU KAT!!! Highly recommend. The salon also has a super cool vibe!

I LOVE this place. I just went here for the first time tonight and had an incredible experience with Yoshi. I've been back in Atlanta for a year and a half and haven't found a salon I really like, but Disco Salon was great. The place is funky and fun and Yoshi was both super helpful and knowledgable. Plus - it's in a church. Cool! Highly recommend.

Ive been going to Jo for just about five years, part of which has been at this salon. They're the best hairdresser I've found, and have been present throughout my transition as a nonbinary person. They guide you to cool haircuts you didnt think possible, and they made me realize I had wavy hair! Not to mention their color placement is beyond legendary - they manage to find really cool placements that look unique and grow out SUPER well. The Disco Salon's current space is really cool - it's in an old church, and decked out with a big disco ball statue. The atmosphere is professional and chill which is surprisingly hard to find sometimes. I know friends who have gone to other stylists here and have been thrilled with what they get.

Josh has been cutting and coloring my hair since 2014. I won’t let anyone else touch it- he’s that good. He’s honest with you about what cut/color will look best with your face shape, lifestyle, maintenance, etc. and will keep your hair healthy. I’ve only shown him inspiration photos a few times- otherwise I kinda just let him do his thing (and I always love it!). He’s a true chemist with color. My hair is naturally almost black and I’ve been rocking healthy blonde hair for a while now, thanks to him. The salon is appointment only so if you want to have the best hair ever, smash that “book now” button on the website. And book early and often- his schedule fills up fast!!

Made an appointment before an important photo shoot and the stylist didn’t show up :( the owner was nice and tried to find someone else but wasn’t able to. Obviously I can’t recommend if you need something reliable

Madeline is such a sweet, and skilled hair stylist. We’ve been with her since 2017. She never disappoints! We live in NY now but frequently visit GA, and no joke… we book hair appointments for when we are in town. Disco Salon is a really neat building, cool use of space.

Went yesterday for the first time and Bit did my hair. We had a great in-depth discussion on my concerns and what style I wanted. I was nervous going in because I’ve never transformed my hair before, but they did it perfectly and I love my new hair! I will be back!
