Ray has been doing my hair since I was 17. He was the 1st person to cut my 1st son's hair. He is amazing. And with GOD'S present in the shop, he makes every encounter awesome.

I enjoyed my first visit at divine creations. I was already a pixie girlie, I expressed to Ray my struggles and my desired look and he nailed it. He was very welcoming fast & sufficient. 10 out of 10 thus now my home salon.

Ray is confident, prompt, professional, & very knowledgeable about his cuts & styles, without the long wait.... Ray washed, treated, trimmed, and molded my short pixie cut, blending colors & highlights, allowing my hair to grow out naturally. Ray effortlessly created a pixie style that suits me perfectly. My hair definitely compliments my unique style/smile. Thank you, Ray, for exemplary customer service effectively.

The service was good. Ray was inviting when I came in the day before to inquire. The day of he gave me what I asked for in a timely fashion. (I was the 2nd person there before the shop even opens😄) Very pleasant atmosphere at the time (9:30am). I’m definitely going back!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Before I start, I would like to say I have only been in Ray’s chair. I’m only interested in the finger waves/pixie styling and Ray is phenomenal with short hair. (Edit, my hair has patches in it now) Perhaps maybe someone could take the calls while he works so he doesn’t have to stop so much. Now I’ve said all the good things, but I think his talent was a little overshadowed by how overwhelming he can be. I am not big on physical touch, but Ray constantly has to touch you somehow. This may not be a bad thing for most people, but I’d rather not hug my stylist, have my hand be caressed by my stylist, or repeatedly get touched in general. It’s honestly a me problem, as I’ve stated I’m just not big on physical touch. Maybe the other clients have no problem with it so if it works for everybody else then keep going, but not everyone will be a fan of that. Even if he was gay male stylist, or a straight female stylist I would still find it a little weird and unnecessary. Ray also has different business ventures and will push and push them onto his clients. I wanna say respect the hustle, but at the end of the day going to the salon is supposed to be a feel good and relaxing experience. As well as doing phenomenal hair, he does photography and life insurance. He is very interested in my look so he kept insisting I do photos for him, again I just would like to enjoy my appointment, but it’s my fault because I only sternly said no on my last visit with him which was yesterday. I reluctantly agreed to some photos after my second time in (more so was told to just go touch my face up in the bathroom), but then on my third visit, he continued to ask for more and insist that those won’t be the only photos he get after I already explained to him I am just not comfortable with being photographed. Understanding that he works with a lot of older women, perhaps the pushy personality is most effective with them, but for me it just felt like the boundaries weren’t in order. I went a total of three times to solidify that feeling I had because sometimes we can jump the gun and get ahead of ourselves. I don’t normally write reviews, however I was asked multiple times by Ray to do a review, and I would only do one if it is all the truth. So still check it out, as my experience may not be YOURS.

Very horrible experience. He was combing my hair with the pik extremely aggressively. I had to tell him to calm down multiple times. Now I have a bald spot at the top of my head because of that and him leaving the bleach on my hair too long, due to him wanting to eat and watch TV. I’m definitely in the process of taking him to small claims because he overcharged me as well. Also, prepare to get harassed about life insurance. I was extremely drained by the end of that conversation. He followed me around with a laptop and just would not stop talking about it even after I stopped responding. He was very close, touchy and weird. That “charm” may work on elderly women but not around here. Ladies PLEASE go somewhere else, this is not the salon for you, especially young ladies.

Was looking for a salon that directed me to loving my short cut since I’ve got it cut I think it was only once I really loved it and today was that day ray did the job of making me love my short cut….. first time in his chair and won’t be the last, he knows how to transform ur look so so so pleased not even a hour out the door and was already getting compliments….. look no farther if u want a double take in the mirror RAY is it……. 😉

I’ve been going to Divine Creations for like almost 20 years. I love Ray! He always does my hair so good and I’ve never had a complaint. If want something he’s gonna do it and it’s gonna be amazing.

Words cannot describe the excellent service experienced at this establishment traveled from another state but it was worth the journey professional service the best cut he knows his stuff all I can say is check it out my first time but I will be a returning customer thank you for my new look!!

CeCe - Locs CeCe started my locs a year ago and it has been an incredible experience every since. She takes the time to explain every step of the process and answered all of my questions (of which there were a lot). She only uses natural products (created and sold by black business owners) and shares with you not only the name of those products and where to get them but how to use them and why! She also makes her own products and has them available for clients. Her whole being is high vibe and she brings that energy to your experience in her chair. Super talented and very professional!

I’ve been coming here for my locs since last year. My loctician Cece is great. She not only does your hair but tells you how to maintain it. Extremely knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend their services. I couldn’t be happier with the way my locs look and feel.
