So I had to take the time to write about my experience at @djstylesmiami salon. @djstylesmiami is a hairstylist, more specifically a trichologist, who specializes in treating hair and scalp problems. There aren’t to many trichologist in Miami so when @the.cospace recommended her I was overjoyed to check her out for my daughter. My daughter suffers from a very flaky scalp, I’m talking itchy and white a minute after shampoo and conditioning so to see her scalp squeaky clean, without irritation, completely detangled, and curls popping for an entire week has been amazing. If you know me then you know how important my crown is to me, and even the more for my mini me! @djstylesmiami was quick to respond, book and provide instructions for our appointment which I loved because it left no guess work for me. Also, there wasn’t a laundry list of things to do in meeting for the appointment which again was a plus. During the session, @djstylesmiami taught me literally EVERYTHING that I needed to know about my daughter’s hair. I gotta tell y’all she blew my mind with the techniques she taught me (I’m talking grassroots stuff like how to properly wash your hair) which she allowed me to do hands on, the technology she used (hair follicle imaging and red light steaming), the clinical write up of hair products, treatments (inexpensive but hair type specific and reputable), as well as time frames for wash days to continue my daughter’s hair growth. @djstylesmiami even reinforced all the good that I’d done thus far with my daughter’s hair by telling her that the methods that I was teaching her was correct and that her hair was thriving because of it!!! That meant so much because we know society will tell our children, especially our black children that who they are isn’t enough and @djstylesmiami reinforced that not being true. @djstylesmiami was hilarious, welcoming, and a wealth of knowledge. The appointment was worth EVERY PENNY and as an adult I can say it was my best salon experience EVER! I am so very happy that I could give that experience to my daughter as well and I look forward to post about the appointments and the hair growth going forward!

Thank you, this was the first time I’ve ever been to a natural hair salon where they actually have a conversation with you and explain things thoroughly. I had a lovely experience and my hair feels so light and moisturized. She is truly educating and dismantling myths surrounding natural hair in the black community. Thank you so much and you will definitely see these curls again soon. I’m finally on a healthy hair journey.

Dj always has advice on how to treat my hair and scalp, along with the styling of my locks (that she counted) 200 it was a quick session where I watched Netflix. A great experience

I took the "How To Perform A Hair & Scalp Consultation for Braids & Extensions" with DJ Styles and babyyyy when I tell you this lady is AMAZING!!!! She is FULL of gems and gives gives gives!!! I'm walking away with so much knowledge and it's causing me to go and revamp my whole business and services!! This woman is the definition of knowing her craft and I'm so excited as a new stylist to learn from her!!! Im so happy i took the consultation online class with dj ! As a cosmetologist that specializes in braiding, my initial perspective was completely changed after taking her class. Dj gives so many gems as well as she definitely does NOT gatekeep! She did a great job with breaking down the information. Take the class you won’t regret it!

The service here is a 20/10 !! If I could leave 20 stars, I would! I loved everything about my experience from how easy and clear it was when booking the appointment, navigating through parking, and finding the suite location. She is an angel - heaven sent! Very nice and sweet with the kindest personality. She listens to your concerns with ZERO judgement, create an effective hair care plan for you, and walks you through everything. Open to answer any questions you may have and keeps the brightest smile on her face while doing so. I was so comfortable being there. The suite itself is very clean and cute. She also provides complimentary snacks and refreshments for you. I’m so happy to have found someone to care for my hair as they do their own. I received my first hair botox treatment and I will be back for more! I’ll also leave pictures of the process here in the review. I love how she really took the time to find out about the history of my hair, the products I’ve used/ currently using, and actually closely examined my scalp to show me all the buildup I had around my follicles which I never had a stylist ever do for me before. I have found my forever natural hair care stylist! She is the real deal!!! Thank you so much Deborah !!!

Wow 👌 and wow. Amazing,beautiful place. Everyone loved it the teacher was great 👍 and everyone looked like they were having a good time, it was a family affair and lots of great informations about hair and hair care. 1000% recommend this stylist! Great customer service. It was my first time ever having my hair braided and DJ really took her time to explain proper hair/braid/scalp care and did a phenomenal job at achieving the look I was going for. She maintained excellent communication before and during our appointment and went above and beyond, going an entire 10 hours without a break! Trust her! She will leave you looking and feeling amazing! THANK YOU DJ <3

I always look forward to my appointments with DJ Styles. She is super professional, courteous, punctual, warm and her spirit and energy always make every appointment a great experience. I’ve also had the pleasure of trying her hair oils and those work as well. I recently tried the hair botox, and that has been an amazing experience so far. She’s also very fast and I always receive compliments on my hair. Highly recommend!!!

I got instant locs for the first time. Took about 8 hours from wash to finish. It does not hurt, my scalp feels clean and not tight. She made me feel so comfortable and she’s so cool and down to earth. Prices are reasonable. I love my hair and will definitely come back! Thank you!

Hands down one of the best relationships I’ve had with a stylist. She started my locs, and my experience during our consultation was so positive I knew I didn’t want or need to go anywhere else. I can’t imagine a better hair guide, especially for a natural or new hair journey. DJ Styles is a true professional at a time when the beauty industry makes it hard to be one. I thoroughly enjoyed this class! DJ is so knowledgeable and I love that she takes us through step by step how she wrote her own book using AI! I’m excited to begin my book project! I began genes images for a few book ideas I’d love to bring to life! I highly recommend this class b/c this is a great way to get a head start on this fascinating new technology🎉
