Got my first Magic Sleek since moving from the East Coast to CA. Was super nervous, but Deborah and Ani were such a fantastic duo… and my hair came out amazing! Such a great space and quality. This is my new go-to spot, seriously! Thank you guys again for the amazing service!!!

Such a great Hair Saloon, very professional, super clean and perfect location (stores parking lot across the street). The hairdress is amazingly friendly! I recommend her 100%! ❤️

I came in to see Crystal today to fix my hair color and I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she went into detail on what was best for me. She explained everything that she was going to do and told me why she was going to do it. I appreciated her listening to me, and the time she took with me. I will definitely be coming back to see Crystal!!!

I received the Magic Sleek hair treatment back in March. I can’t say enough amazing things about this hair treatment!! It has totally transformed my hair to be more manageable, more smooth and silky and it also has tamed my curls by a lot! It’s been 3+ months and is still going strong! Ciara did my treatment and also gave me a hair cut, she is great and definitely knows what she is doing!! She took her time and explained the treatment in detail which I appreciated. I will for sure keep up with magic sleek!!! Well worth it! Request Ciara for your hair!

I live in Studio City and as a big advocate of supporting local businesses, I walked in to Hair Lounge to make an appointment for a haircut and was warmly greeted by Crystal Rivadeneira. We fairly immediately determined that she would be a good stylist for my needs, which are pretty basic. Upon making the appointment for the Thursday ahead, I was explicit in conveying that I would be traveling immediately after the appointment. Day before I reached out via text to double confirm on my end, which she reciprocated. I also mentioned that if she had any later I would be up for that. She asserted that the scheduled time of 3:30pm was perfect. The day of the appointment Crystal reaches out an hour before to say she is running behind unexpectedly and that it would be best to reschedule. I politely reminded her that I wasn't available the next day, and if she's running late, not a problem. She proceeded to say it best to cancel and thank you anyways. As a new client, I was floored. She clearly prioritized an existing client and completely disregarded the fact that I had to cut out of work early and arrange childcare pick up to make the 330 appt. She made zero effort to make it up to me and seemed perfectly fine blowing me off. Unbelievably unprofessional. I ended up getting a last minute referral to a reliable stylist in Silver Lake who took me that night after his last client, in a timely fashion, with the best attitude, and a great cut to go along with it. Highly recommend Jose Cantu @ Powder Room!!

Update: This salon has installed a new air filtration system designed to kill COVID-19. They practice social distancing and keep their masks on. They are very careful. Chairs are disinfected after each client. Deborah Miller has created a beautiful salon just off Ventura Blvd. The salon is beautiful with an upbeat attitude. The large group of stylists are all pleasant and do great work. Deborah does a wonderful job of coloring my hair. But I don’t think you could go wrong with any of the stylists given the customers I have seen leaving there.

I went to get my hair done by Marty Miller today — pastel jade ends with neon yellow extensions! And let me tell yooouuuuu I feel like The Fifth Element Leeloo’s cousin! 💆‍♀️💁‍♀️🙆‍♀️ I have not had my hair done in a very very long time, and always have massive anxiety about stylists chopping off too much hair or not keeping the health of my hair while adding color... I was watching Marty pretty closely because my hair is already much shorter than I’m used to (my fault — I had a Jessica Simpson Britney Spears moment this summer) and I’ve been trying to grow out the platinum blonde that’s been my hair color for years. I asked Marty to PLEASE not dye my virgin hair and also to take it veeeerry easy on the scissors, and thank the lord she definitely was very careful to not cut a millicentimeter more than necessary and didn’t get a drop of dye on my virgin hair. In my experience, 95% of stylists would have tried to get me to dye my roots, or something, but I was relieved that Marty was so receptive to what -I- wanted not just for now, but also WHY i want it that way (to preserve my hair in the future). And even though she put color on my ends, I honestly can’t remember the last time my hair was this soft? Maybe as a baby? I can’t stop touching it! Anyways, BIG recommend for Marty 💯 💯 💯

Nobody does hair better. Deborah Miller, and associates, turn out the best of hair styling and especially color. I drive from the city to the valley (it's worth it) for Deborah! Never a bad strand here.

Selene is the reason I come here. It's like kicking it with a good friend and I leave with my hair hooked up. The amenities (snacks and drinks) are great and I feel she is reasonably priced for the great work she does, especially in color. She's the kind of stylist that will give what the customer wants but keep it real with you on what it would take to maintain it. But if you're ready for a big change, she's always game.
