I am sorry to write this review because the people who work at Dolci are so kind, but I have had two bad manicure experiences in a row here. From my first visit, I realized upon arriving home that the nail polish had totally separated, creating uneven layers on my nails that made my manicure look undone and grown out. I returned a couple days later to request a fix, and they completed a polish change. Much to my unpleasant surprise, I was then asked to pay for the polish change. The second manicure is better, but still sloppy with a lot of polish on my skin. In total I’ve now spent $40 plus tips for a regular manicure and have run out of time to get it fixed again. As mentioned, everyone at this salon is so kind, but I’m disappointed in the product and the customer experience so I will not return.

Please don’t believe the positive reviews!! I don’t know how this place has 4.8 bc this is the most chaotic, dysfunctional, bare bones place I’ve ever been to. The guy I booked with online, Billy, apparently is very slow but accepts back to back appointments and won’t let anyone else in the salon take his bookings. So when I got there for my 11AM mani/pedi he was behind and like barely halfway through his previous client. I didn’t know that it had to be him and the other nail techs were forbidden from taking me so I wait for 15 mins, pick my colors and then it’s not until he moves his previous client from the pedi chair to where I was originally sitting (at a nail station), that I realize he’s nowhere close to being done. But I figured if I’m already at the pedi chair it must be soon. Nope.. after a total of 40 mins of waiting, no one comes to work on me and then Billy also gets interrupted by the husband of one of the other nail techs who has to “talk with him immediately” so now that other girl is waiting mid mani for Billy to finish up his argument outside LOL. At this point I realize how chaotic it is so I try to leave. And that’s when another nail tech (the wife of the guy yelling at Billy outside) tells me about the whole scheduling issue they have and how they aren’t allowed to take Billy’s clients. In what nail salon would you let a customer wait 45+ mins when there are people available just bc you don’t share clients? If that’s the case, don’t make back to back tightly scheduled appointments AND also tell me what the expected wait time is. I could have run an errand and come back, but no I ended up wasting all this time and you lost a customer for life. This place also has capacity for 2 pedi and 2 mani at a time…but they overbook so you’re always going to be left waiting. So please avoid Billy and do not come here if you value your time and sanity.

If you want great quality at a great price, this is your place. They encourage and honor appointments which I appreciate. I arrived a bit early and they were able to accommodate me. They have many color options for polish and even had some special polishes for gel at $15 extra, like chrome. They were transparent about pricing as sometimes services or options can be added at other salons and it's not well communicated. They did my pedicure and manicure at the same time, which is my preference. Billy and my pedicure technician were considerate and careful with their work. It was a quiet relaxing Tuesday afternoon appointment and thoroughly happy with the results. I have found my new go to nail salon.

If you go anywhere else you are trippin, lol. I travel the world for work and have had many nail services this may be the best I’ve had. 5 star service, the place looks a little strange from the outside but trust me that’s nothing. The service the attention to detail. Billy was the bomb, the next time I’m on the west coast I will fly in just to come here. The roses and lemon in the water was pretty, I was able to get my mani and pedi at the same time and that’s more for me bc I’m super busy. Just try it…. @FantasyFitnessMD

Lady’s! For first timers or currently looking for an esthetician for a Brazilian bikini wax. I highly recommend Kim. I never look forward to this but it’s part of my self care. I rate her a 10 out 10.

Grateful for such a great spot in my neighborhood just a few blocks away. Billy and Nu were so kind, hospitable and thorough. A very clean space and a great value for the quality and care. So glad I found this spot and I’ll definitely be back.

A lovely salon with a chill atmosphere. Tracy does the best brows in town. Unfortunately, Ann has retired, but Laura or Buck are both great.

Lots of salon options in the neighborhood. But Dolce has the nicest people which also meant the nicest experience. It’s going to be my regular spot.

Buck does an amazing job; very meticulous and really knows how to make anyone look their best. When I find a stylist I am comfortable with, it is hard to switch to someone else. I was going to another San Francisco salon, but they kept raising prices significantly. Luckily, a friend introduced me, to Buck. He keeps me looking my best, at all times and he's fun to be around. I would recommend making your return appointment before you leave; he gets booked quickly.

The best waxing specialist ever. Tracy is the best. She is very comforting, carrying & super fast. After a number of very painful & uncomfortable experiences I thought I’d never do waxing again in my life, and then a friend told me about Tracy. I was 8 + months pregnant; shaving was difficult; hair grew twice as quick. I’ve decided to give Tracy a chance. She did an amazing job. She worked around my schedule, she was extremely fast & worked on small areas at a time, so it’s not painful. I recommend her to everyone. Especially to pregnant ladies - do it and forget you needed it!
