I just want to say I love this place. Showed up at 11 on a Tuesday and the lady let me in and got right to work being that I was the first customer. She did an amazing job and I didn’t feel rushed or discriminated against because I have black hair. Results are amazing and I’ll definitely be back.

I enjoy my hair treatment and service I am receiving from Dominican Hair Studio. I am receiving hair care over one year and I can see and feel the love and healing from Carmen and her assistant. When I first started receiving hair care, my hair was about half an inch. I had lost all of my hair due to chemotherapy. Now, my hair is very strong, healthy, and my hair is beyond my shoulders. Thank you so much Carmen for the care, love, and the supplies you use. God will forever bless you. This is the only hair salon I come to and I don't allow anyone else to touch my head, or hair.

I had a wonderful experience at this beauty salon. The owner and staff were over hospitable and pleasant. They made you feel like family. My hair was done exactly how I wanted. I will recommend this place 10 times up..

I moved from NYC a couple of yrs ago and was looking for a good and affordable dominican hair salon and came across this one and i love Mrs Carmen and her daughter in law they are very nice and welcoming i told her what I wanted and she did that and more and I been coming to her ever since I never had a bad experience and people always ask me were I got my hair done and who did it , and my hair is natural I have gotten blow outs and roller sets and Mrs Carmen would style it for me after she flat iron it i highly recommended Mrs Carmen Dominican hair studio.

Best salon u just have to experience for urself I've been going here for over 5years and I love swimming in pools and ocean which is bad for the hair but Carmen makes all my hair products to keep it healthy no matter the style

First let me say you walk in nobody greets you and they just stare at you! I came by to get a wash & blowout. While getting my hair washed the stylist asked if I wanted conditioner in my hair. It was a bit odd to ask that because who washes hair without conditioner? She put a cap on my head and put me under the dryer. I asked her was this deep condition because I only wanted the bare minimum reg. Wash and condition. And was it extra charge. She said yes She said I’ll pay for the condition no worries. When it come time to check out she still put the extra deep condition on my check. I will not be returning! While I was sitting in the chair they also messed up a ladies color so I do not recommend you get your hair colored here!

I usually do not give reviews, but I am doing this one to save someone from spending their time and money. First of all, I have been in Charlotte for over three years, and I can tell you that they have the most expensive blowout in the area. The blowout was not even good, going home to wash my hair and do it again. They left my hair greasy. I paid 60.00 for nothing. The worst most expensive blowout in Charlotte. My shirt is wet because they don't even use good towels. The towels are as little and old as a kitchen towel. They are in a bad location and the place looks old and messy for a 60.00 wash and dry. Never again😡.

IF YOU ARE NATURAL, DO NOT GO! I repeat DO NOT GO!!!!!!! These ppl will put a perm in your natural hair and call it a “deep conditioning”. It changes your hair texture if not RUIN YOUR TEXTURE, and you have to start all over!!!! They did this to me and several ppl I know!

I’ve been struggle for a while with dry hair, so I decided to go back to what I know, a good ol Doobie. I wasn’t sure I could find a place that does NY/NJ Dominican doobies but I figured I try out Dominican Hair Studio and I’m glad I did. Carmen and the other woman that works there (I’m sorry I didn’t get her name) knew exactly what I was looking for and called it by name, doobie, and asked me if I’m from NY, this is the moment I knew I was in the right hands. My hair came out exactly the way it was supposed too. My hair is healthy and shiny! I will definitely be going back every 3 weeks! Thank you both so much, I feel like I have a piece of home (NJ) in Charlotte! 10 out of 10!!!

The worst experience, she doesn’t look at my hair and tries to charge me 70 dollars for a wash just a wash no blowout, just wash and set, as I try to pay no cards accepted like I’m supposed to know that if she doesn’t put a poster up. Do Not waste your time, I didn’t know but now you do. Do yourself a favor DO NOT come here.

This is my favorite salon!!! I got my hair done here for my wedding ! In the hot summer of June 2022 and sincerely they did such an amazing job, my hair stayed good all day ! I also got extensions ! And everyone loved my hair including me . I have gone to other salons previously and sincerely they are not worth the money . Every time I go to Charlotte I come here ! Because they always take care of my hair. They are super professional and always take care of there clients. I posted two photos so u guys can see what my hair looks like naturally ! Definitely worth ever penny

This place is so unprofessional. They were supposed to be open at 9:30 AM and after 12 they still aren’t open. How do you run a place of business like this. That’s everytime someone comes it’s really awful and unprofessional.

I have been going to this place for 7+ years and they are amazing. Great treatments for curly hair. I’ve been trying to allow my curls to recover from previous heat damage from using the iron a lot and Carmen and her salon have helped me so much. Whenever I get braids or twist they always come out looking beautiful. I highly recommend!!

I loved coming here for my first time the experience was pretty pleasant. I really loved my hair and Carmen did a great job. Normally when I get a blow outs my roots start converting the very same day. It’s been three days now and my hair is STILL in standing! I have been extremely grateful for finding this business. I will definitely recommend anyone to this place for the future.

I wanted to add extensions for volume to attend a wedding I was the maid of honor in and they delivered! I was so concerned about the color and whether it would look natural and it was perfect. I normally stick to a regular blowouts but I’m happy to know if I want extensions, this salon can offer that for me.

I would not recommend this salon to my worst enemy. I can’t understand why you can’t see the product that they are putting in your hair! I got a Keratin and my hair has been FALLING OUT EVER SINCE!!!!!

They are very nice and friendly but charge more than i usually pay for blowouts and it took a while. Hair looks nice smell kinda burnt
