Hair was left frizzy, she didn’t do a proper trim and she used a horrible smelling oil on my hair. I felt rushed and my hair definitely was not silky when I left … within 2 hours my hair was puffy and frizzy!

Having a natural curly hair is hard to find a place where you feel comfortable, where you can blindly trust your stylist’s hands; well, this was the place for me. Clara have been taking care of my hair for almost 10 years, transitioning from straight to curly hair with no heat damage, cutting and changing color of my hair, and thanks to her hands and team my hair is always healthy ❤️ **** Cuando tienes el cabello rizado natural es difícil encontrar un lugar donde te sientas cómoda, donde puedas confiar ciegamente en las manos de tu estilista; bueno, este era el lugar para mí. Clara ha estado cuidando mi cabello durante casi 10 años, haciendo la transición de cabello liso a rizado sin daño por calor, cortando y cambiando el color de mi cabello, y gracias a sus manos y equipo mi cabello siempre está saludable ❤️

My new go to place! I went for a blowout and loved the space (salon is so cute and clean) the service, and the price. I felt welcomed and left feeling beautiful! Erika was awesome and I look forward to going back many more times :)

Clara did my hair today ! It’s a bit hard to find the salon but cute on the inside. I’m giving the salon a low score because Clara barely washed and conditioned my hair. She rinsed dye out of my hair then asked if I wanted it to be conditioned too 😩. I booked for a roller set but she just sectioned me and put me under the dryer no rollers. The Blowout: I was so uncomfortable. First of all I felt like the blow dryer was burning me and hitting me. The towel fell I had to ask her could I use it to cover my ears. Secondly she was on the phone half of the time while blow drying my hair. At then end when it was time to straighten she straightened huge pieces. I had to ask her to straighten it again because it was very frizzy. She just did my hair like she could care less. Poor experience overall. And they are not cheap. Not worth the price or the distance.

Vine de visita a Los Ángeles y necesitaba un lugar donde secaran mi cabello, buscando aquí en Google me encontré con este lugar, la sra Clara una bella persona, y no solo dejó mi cabello hermoso, también hizo unos pequeños cambios y recomendaciones para así lucir más hermosa, así que a ojo cerrado me dejé y quedé sorprendida realmente! I love Clara and her daughters! Coming to Clara is like coming to family! She is caring and very talented! I go to Clara every week! I got a keratin treatment and my hair is the healthiest it has ever been! She never pressures me to do anything I don’t want to do, doesn’t cut too much, if you let her know what you want! I have mixed hair, black/Indian/Caucasian mixed hair, and she knows how to care for my hair because of her Dominican Republic background! She is also very efficient! I always look professional at my job because Clara helps me manage my hair! Clara is also a very positive person— no negative conversations at this salon! When you leave you feel beautiful, confident and peaceful!

I scheduled a trim and style and they were able to take me right away I ended up going with layers and it definitely was the best decision!! Clara was amazing and fast I definitely recommend to everyone :)

Terrible experience, they tried to comb my hair dry. They don’t know what they’re doing - especially with natural black hair. Avoid it if you have longer hair. They’ll overcharge and not do it properly. Funny enough I’ve been here a few times before when my hair was permed and processed which they didn’t seem to have an issue with. Now that I’ve shortened it and it’s natural again there is all of a sudden an issue because it’s a longer process to detangle because it needs to happen in sections. As a client to a hair professional I shouldn’t have to explain this… They didn’t take me for 45 mins, then tried to blame them rushing on my hair needing to be detangled (which is standard before any wash for anyone with my type of hair). Guess $85 doesn’t go that far…why would I pay that and you can’t even comb my hair in sections? The carelessness was astounding. They began taking other appointments in front of me once I said I wasn’t interested in paying $170 for a wash, set , and trim. Thats ridiculous to upcharge every service. Plus at this point they had torn hair out trying to comb it dry I’d have been an idiot to pay them a cent when it was clear they didn’t know what they were doing.

I love this place. The energy is great here and the ladies are all amazing. I have had both Clara and Erica do my hair and they both provide an excellent service. My hair is healthy....and super cute

I've literally been looking for this place since I moved here 13 years ago. My stylist, Erica is super knowledgeable in my coily hair-type and patient with my experimentation. I'm having a lot of fun and I can tell you that this is my go to spot from now on, even though I'm still under the dryer, lol! It's inside of an office building so it's hard to find since there isn't a name on the facade and no room number on Google once you get inside. It's street parking only. Moderately to high priced but worth it from what I'm experiencing in real time

This salon will change your life! I am Dominican and have naturally curly hair, so I really need someone who is familiar with my hair type. I found the salon on Google and they booked me for a next day appointment. I got relaxer for my hair, which Clara applied expertly, along with a nice deep conditioner. I also got a trim and she blow dryed and flat ironed my hair very fast (I'm used to a lot longer in the chair!). My hair is smooth, soft, and healthy, and I feel amazing. It was obvious she is very skilled. Clara was also so friendly and professional. I am thrilled to have a new salon and will definitely be coming back! I completely trust them with my tresses : )

Went in today needed my hair fixed ASAP i had some pretty bad experiences at other places so I was hesitant but Janay is really helpful and so is her mom they are very sweet. Helped me to get my hair right. This was the straightest my hair has ever came out. I tried the roller set and it was amazing and it’s less heat on your hair. Got my ends trimmed really nicely and it’s clean and great customer service. Found a stylist and salon to finally call home❤️❤️

All i can say is WOW!! I am here on vacation, found this shop on google and called in. They accepted me right away for an immediate appointment 🙏🏾 From the phone call -upon arrival, everyone was extremely kind and professional!! CLARA IS A PURE GEM!! She was so welcoming and full of Love 💕 She started me right away and skillfully move around between clients effortlessly!! I watched the different stylists work together as a team and oh my how amazed i was at the teamwork and support , especially Clara checking on the different stylists and customers, all while serving her own clientele! I wish i lived here in California, i would be a frequent customer, just by her professionalism but most of all for her caring personality!! Thank you so much Clara, you are Amazing!!!

The experience was definitely memorable but this was the first wash n set and blowout that didn’t last me my normal three week let alone 3 days. There was one point where The owner, I believer was the only one there with like five customers and she was doing an okay job keeping up with all of us. However, it was still a long wait for certain things. The overall environment was nice and inviting. I left there looking gorgeous as Princess Lee. The same day, just a few hours later some frizz but I ignored it and kept it pushing three days later hair all frizzed up so I braided to just have a braid out look. My scalp was so badly burned that my scalp was already flaking. I had to give myself a long hot oil treatment after the fifth day. My overall take is it wasn’t worth how much I paid. I’m from New York and even they were cheaper for their service and they were very careful with their tools and clients. They didn’t book you to come in if they were already overbooked.

Visiting LA& needed to get my hair done, came to this place based on the great reviews. I called before hand to see if I needed an appt which I did &they were able to accommodate me pretty quickly. Everyone was very nice& friendly in the salon, Clara styled my hair beautifully. The only reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars is because I believe it was very overpriced. A wash & set was $65, bare minimum cutting of the ends was another $40 and an ampoya was $15. $115 for a wash and set when I did rollers, meaning that my hair was already dry when it was time to blow it out is a lot. I’ll blame the LA rent prices I guess. Very friendly staff, great work & clean nice space. I would recommend them but would suggest being more transparent about pricing.

Forgot to write a review a while ago. But this place is extremely professional. They know what they're doing. Gave me great tips on to maintaining my hair since it kept breaking off and become damaged. They very helpful, and they make sure that you know that they would love to help you in your hair journey. The vibe of the place just feels comfortable and relaxed. Definitely recommend!!

I went in for hair treatment after lack of proper hair care and extensive damage I caused to my hair from coloring it. Clara incredibly knowledgeable on everything I needed to do to have fresh start to having healthy hair. With Clara and her team of hair care specialist they helped my hair start to grow back strong and healthy. After a few consultations I came to the conclusion that I personally was not committed to following through with the work I had to do on my own to maintain the great work they were doing. So I decided to shave my hair. Yet I will say out of all the many beauticians I ever went to Dominican Hairstyling was the best when it came to hair treatment, care, and professionalism.
