This is my Secound time coming here and I love how fast and quick the service is eveytime , I was scared to come get my hair blowed bc I haven’t beeen nature in a year or so , but when I came it , it was nothing but good vibes and my stylist helping me decided what exactly I wanted to do , I needed up doing a silk and my hair has been so healthy , I will defiantly be coming back here every month for Maintenance

Def a plus …. I just got my eyebrows done and people….. no double dipping!!!!!!! The stylist Mary blew out my hair and gave me some pointers on how to maintain my hair…Will definitely be back.❤️❤️❤️ Please give it a try 😬😬😬😬😬

My hair was relaxed without my knowledge. They tend to do this with curly hair to save time and energy detangling natural curly hair. My hair started to fall out in thick strands. Never had this issue before when I got my hair straightened. Pic on the left was Friday and the pic on the right is today. I’ve been deep conditioning my hair to get it back to where it was now it’s sad and droopy. My hair still keeps falling out to this day. Picture in the glasses is before going to the salon.

DON’T COME HERE IF YOU ARE BLACK AND/OR HAVE 3A TO 4C hair. When you first walk into the salon the prices are listed, my hair is bra strap length and the pricing for that was 25-35. I want to start by saying they barely have people working there. I walked in and was waiting for a hot minute. Then when I finally got seated for my wash slick comments and gestures were made about my hair indicating my hair is too difficult to manage mind you I have 3C hair high porosity hair this is the first time in my life I felt a type of way about my natural hair but even if I didn't have my hair texture you're a certificated hairstylist and you can't manage my hair?! What the hell were you in school training for? Training to put high levels of heat on a person's scalp causing them close to 2-degree burns? Then because my hair is difficult for them I got charged extra because of it. The only reason my hair was unmanageable was because the person who was doing my hair was completely careless about properly detangling my hair and was just ripping through each section with a tiny comb. Which resulted in me being forced to get a trim and who would've known a simple trim was going to cost 20 extra dollars? My initial charge was 80 dollars, how I don't know, maybe math is different in other languages. Continuing I was able to negotiate the price down to 70 flat. To top everything off my mother goes to the same place and gets the same treatment and also has longer hair than me but has wavy hair she only gets charged 40 dollars so yes it is all because of a person's hair texture. All I'm saying is don't go here if you have texturized hair, they will ruin your hair and overcharge you unfair pricing.

From when i entered, the lady's were so kind and caring. They took their time with my hair, and she made sure we were communicating, and on the same page while doing my hair. Everyone was so sweet and I 100% recommend this hair salon. I am so happy with the way my hair turned out. 5 stars

A Star Is Born. Luckily for me in Harlem. During the C19 epidemic my regular Stylist's shop closed so she was working from her home in Brooklyn. She's one of the best Dominican Hair Stylist and took a select few (clients) in her home for services. Making the trek was a hike but her shampoo, hair care, and roller sets (I adore curls) was worth the time effort and money. She just recently married and her new hubby (some women r soo lucky) is not letting her up for air on their Honeymoon. I happened upon Dominican Star one afternoon and thought I'd take a chance. Not only was I blown away w/their hair game (all who worked on me) are hands of love, care, and great shampooers, but I was pleasantly surprised by the Awesome vibes they got going on in the place. From the door, to the bowl/shampoo and everything in-between I have not been deprived. Shout out to Jose & Jas who have ended my search for a hair Salon that delivers. I thank God for leading me here.🙏🏾❣️😉

Been coming to this hair solan for the past 3 years for my now 9 year old daughter. Im usually skeptical of everyone ! But they truly put my mind at ease! My daughter hair comes out amazing all the time! I especially love Jose who’s been doing my daughters hair more recently and Reyna (the owner) professionalism.

Never in life have I had a blow out done this well and this efficient. Jose was my stylist. A deaf man styled my hair this well with no issues. He was overall talented, patient and HE TOOK HIS TIME. I walked in on a random Monday evening and these ladies were super accommodating. I sat to wash my hair & the women was gentle. She upsold me on the deep conditioning which I highly key recommend. It comes with a smooth detangling. As a woman of color with kinky curly hair textures I would highly recommend.

Wow i love this hair salon. Coming from Brooklyn and they stayed open for nyeee, best hair salon in Harlem !!! I will make sure i come for every wash and set and prices are right. The wash was so relaxing and trim was perfect !!! Please make sure you come here !!!

All of the original stylist are gone. It's all new people who do cannot blow out hair good at all. I have to find a new salon. I will miss the old workers.

I had a wonderful experience at DSB. Jose did a wonderful job at making sure my hair was well blown out and worked in small sections. I have thick 4A hair so it’s hard finding people who can blow it out to the achieved look but he did a great job. Rena also did a great job at checking her costumer’s were comfortable and attended to. She washed my hair and detangled it in sections making sure she wasn’t hurting me. 10/10 experience and would recommend specifically to girls with thicker hair! Thank you

My hair has been damaged ever since going to this place. I hadn’t used heat on my thick 4c hair in a little over a year so I decided to get a blow out. Few weeks later I went to wash my hair and it wasn’t reverting back. The ends of my hair are really damaged and completely straight.

The Dominican beauty salon is a wonderful place! The staff are incredibly friendly, patient, and attentive to each customer's needs. This was my first time dying my hair, and they made me feel completely at ease. They also went above and beyond to ensure my younger sister was comfortable while getting her hair done. I highly recommend this salon if you're in the area and looking for a great place to get your hair washed, set, trimmed, or colored. They do what needs to be done!! Run don’t walk!! And they open at 8:45am where you know they do that at?!?
