I requested a short pixie cut with very specific instructions. I wanted a clipper cut on the sides and the back with the number 2 guard. The sides are patchy and uneven. She did not blend well. And no one in the whole salon knew how to bald fade out the hair line in the back. Even though I asked in advance. Now I'm looking like a blind person cut my hair. I wanna go home and cry. I hadn't cut my hair in 10 months because I can't for my life get a decent hair cut 😢😭

I am sooo happy with the service and quality of work Dramatics 3rd Ave provided me. I came in for a color correction/highlight + balayage. They went above and beyond to listen to what I want and gave me an honest and thorough consultation. Caramel did such a great job with the color correction, I couldn’t recognize myself after. I Highly recommend this location, they have such a welcoming atmosphere, extremely talented stylists, and exceptional work. Thank you so much.

I’ve been coming here since may for their walk in special. I haven’t been disappointed ! I just had a haircut by Vegas and she was an absolute gem !!!! She took one look at my hair and recommended layers and transformed my hair! I totally recommend Vegas!

Extremely scissor happy! I asked for a 1 inch trim and at least three inches were taken off. I went home and cried. Be really careful which hairdresser you go to. 😢

I have been a loyal customer of this salon for years, but after my most recent experience, I won’t be returning. I scheduled a trim and face-framing cut the night before my honeymoon and ended up with a disaster. The stylist gave me a choppy, blunt cut bang that wasn’t blended at all, and it was far from the subtle face-framing I asked for. After leaving, I reached out to let her know that my cut was not what I asked for, and they told me I got "curtain bangs." Not only did I *not* ask for curtain bangs, but what I got wasn’t even close to that. It was a blunt cut bang, and the work was incredibly sloppy. I emailed the salon, sent photos of the mess, and they initially offered to fix it the next day. Unfortunately, like most people, I work during the day and was leaving for my honeymoon that evening. I explained my situation, and they said they would speak to their manager to see if they could help, but after that, they completely stopped responding despite my multiple follow-up emails. To add insult to injury, I paid $90 for this terrible cut, which is one of their higher-end prices. I had to scramble and go to a different salon, closer to my work office during my lunch break the next day to fix it. The stylist there was shocked at how bad it was and even took before and after videos showing the difference. This experience left me in tears the night before my honeymoon, and the lack of professionalism and customer service from the salon was deeply disappointing. Needless to say, I’ll be going to the salon that actually fixed my hair from now on. EDIT: 9/21 - still have not been contacted by them even though their response said someone would be today(9/20) Fact Checking that they only contacted me once the morning after and did not try multiple times. Again, regardless of the years of experience a botched hair cut is a botched hair cut. A place with that many years of experience should have higher standards. Today I was a walk-in and ask if they had availability - the front desk person which was nice by the way. Proceeded to ask one of the two hairdressers that were scrolling on there phones if she would cut my sons hair. My son has curly hair. She didn’t realize I could see her response from where I was standing. She said no and the other hairdresser said something to her and she still said no. He finally cut my son’s hair but when I say this was less than a trim he barely shaped it. The customer service at this location is awful. It felt uncomfortable. Do NOT recommend.

This place has been here forever. I remember I used to go here all the time 10 years ago but I moved. I recently went back and it was solid. I remember that I paid around $110 at that time for a color and a cut. This time I paid $170. Inflation.

I love this salon. It's a wonderful experience, with stylists who care. When I first came in, Jade and Omega were able to fix my old color and style. Such an amazing job on my hair! Today, I booked with Omega. He worked wonders on my color, extensions and style. He was able to match the extensions to my original color and added purple to make them pop. They came out perfectly and made me feel runway ready. Will definitely come again!

If I could give ZERO stars I HONESTLY TRULY WOULD!!! I literally had the worst experience with DRAMATICS SALON THIS MORNING!!! Well I call them last night to see if I could come in this morning for a cut the woman at the front desk said YES I would be fine!!! Mind you I’m coming from BRONX NY so when are get there they were looking at me up and down here is what really made me situation SO MESSED UP SUPER VERY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE MY HUSBAND CAME IN AND OMG now all of a sudden NO ONE WOULD DO MY HAIR!!! Mind you one woman was just sitting around looking at me all crazy!!! They made me feel so uncomfortable had me feeling embarrassed it was so HORRIBLE!!! WHAT A HORRIBLE ANYONE COULD EVER EXPERIENCE!!!!!!! Oh one lady was standing outside UNBELIEVABLE THAT ANYONE COULD BE TREATED WITH SUCH DISRESPECT!!!! I’m NO LOW LIFE I WORK HARD I WORK IN THE HEALTH AGENCY!!! All I wanted was a simple hair cut! I walked out of there literally in tears I was so very upset I felt so hurt that place is DISGUSTING HORRIBLE PLUS HOW THOSE WOMEN LOOKS AT ME UP AND DOWN LIKE THERE BETTER THAN ME!!! Oh they had my name and phone number so they were EXPECTING ME TO COME THIS MORNING!! So sad how they could make a woman feel so HORRIBLE!!! So something did come out good for me today I found another salon which the woman did amazing job I told her about my experience with DRAMATIC DRAMATIC EMPLOYEES YOU PEOPLE ARE SO HORRIBLE!!! This salon has become my go-to for a balayage, and for good reason. After an amazing first experience with Caramel, I booked an appointment with Mimi, and I was blown away. These talented stylists truly work magic with hair. Mimi skillfully brought my vision to life, meticulously crafting the perfect look after discussing my inspiration photos. Despite the time it took, three hours flew by, and the result was undeniably worth it. Trust these ladies to deliver stunning results every time!

If I could give this 0 stars, i would. I had an appointment just yesterday at this salon and received the WORST haircut of my life. I showed a very clear inspiration picture and asked for only 2 inches off my length. She cut of 6 INCHES of my length and i have a bib now. I also asked for curtain bangs and told her to note that I have wavy hair. My stylist cut the bangs far too short and completely uneven. I am NEVER going back, I would never recommend someone to try here. Additionally, I asked for a refund for the service and did not receive one. Below is my inspiration:

Amazing amazing amazing!!! I called in at the last minute on a Saturday and they were able to accomodate me. I had some color that needed to be fixed and Omega did such an amazing job!! So so happy will definitely be back.

Flew in for a special event, however I was not able to have my hair done prior to leaving home. I was referred to Omega at Dramatics NYC 3rd Ave . Had my hair done one word FANTASTIC!!! He was awesome and a great hair stylist. Had my hair colored/cut/semi perm. He was very attentive to detail as he cared for my hair. One did not feel as if he was rushing to get to the client but was focused on doing a great job for his present client. So if you need a hairstylist Omega ( Love that name) at Dramatics NYC is highly recommended by me.

Happy with my haircut but not with the overall experience. Hairdresser was running behind so offered me a 10 min conditioner treatment, which I thought was nice. 45 minutes later, my hairdresser began working on the next client’s hair before starting my cut. I was asked if I wanted a flat iron so I said sure, then was told after that usually they would charge but they won’t because of the wait. I think a discount on my cut would have been a nicer offer! Definitely overpriced, $70 for a trim. I won’t be going back.

I have been here twice since moving to the city and both times have been a wonderful experience! Omega is not only great at cutting hair, but he listens to what I want and always adds extra details that make the haircut even better than I could have imagined. This studio was promising based on the reviews left my others, but I had one of the worst hair experiences of my life here. I asked for a simple trim to my medium length blunt haircut. Every single person in the salon bullied me into getting layers, promising me I would look fantastic. My stylist was persistent and a little hostile about layers looking good on my face shape. I agreed hesitantly, but ultimately put my trust in them because every review i saw had good results. My stylist was extremely distracted throughout my appointment because she was expecting a call. She kept stopping to check her phone and left me alone partway through the appointment for 15 minutes. She did ask another person on the team to assist me in the meantime with a blowout, but the second person also had an attitude problem and didn’t blow out my hair correctly. The layers were cut extremely choppy with little to no regard for my strong straight hair texture. It looks like I have steps in my hair and the layers are uneven. She gave me a ‘complimentary styling’ but i now can see she was just hiding her mistakes with the curls. It will take me over a year to grow out these layers back to the length i wanted all over in the first place. Although I never asked them to fix it, I am never going to return. I don’t trust anyone on this team to give me a quality haircut.

Took my nephew there for a haircut Jade started 15 minutes late, ruined his haircut, stopped twice to speak to the next customer who interrupted to discuss her daughters her hair. She didn’t even wipe him off after the cut just walked away. I called office to complain and received a call back where the woman relayed that jade said my nephew had difficult hair and dandruff. My nephew has very typical hair and in 15 years had never had a bad haircut experience and I’m not sure what dandruff has to do with being able to give a basic cut. And be warned if you walk in haircut is 38 but if you call in first the charge is 60.
