I LOVE this salon. I've been living in Portland for 8 years and was always disappointed in the hair experience I received, so I was hesitant to spend my money again - but they are truly the best at what they do (fun haircuts, colors, curls, and inclusivity!). I've worked with both Ocean and Kassi and would highly recommend them to any of my friends. They understand your needs, aren't pushy and help bring your little hair dreams to life. I never knew I had the curls I did until I started coming here -- I felt truly seen by a professional who guided me to the right vision. Lastly, the salon has all the good vibes and makes you feel at home -- comfy and cozy.

One of the worst experiences at a salon. I was a new client so I paid the extra $50 fee for my first haircut. I convinced myself that it was work it because there was also supposed to be a consultation and style included. I had hoped that they'd get to know me and my hair, maybe even recommend a cute new style. I received none of that. And what's worse is the stylist is moving soon, so even if it had been a good cut I would have needed to start over again. What I received was a SuperCuts quality haircut, in every way. I even had to wash my hair as soon as I got home because it felt so disgustingly greasy. I probably should have bailed when I first arrived. You enter through a small alley by all the trash cans. Once inside I noticed that most of the furniture was dirty; stains on the salon chairs and cheap vanities. I would be able to overlook all of that if the cost wasn't so high for a cut.

Been going to see Ashley at Dreamboat for years. She is an incredible stylist who consistently gives 10/10 service. She's created such a cute space that makes everyone feel welcome. Highly recommend!

Had a friend recommend me this place and mentioned that I should go to Sue. I can’t say I’ve had a better cut! She really listened, gave great suggestions, and made sure I was 100% happy before I left. My hair looks great and I’ve already gotten so many compliments. The vibe in the salon was super chill and welcoming. Sue was genuinely awesome to talk to, which made the experience even better. If you’re looking for a hairdresser or stylist who is skilled, professional, and genuinely cares about their clients, Sue is the one.

Tiana is such a great stylist! She is friendly and skilled. I have gotten multiple haircuts and this most recent time I got a perm, and I love my hair every time I leave this salon!

Ashley, the owner, has been cutting my hair for over a decade before Dreamboat was created. She is amazingly talented, and it is a fantastic experience to sit in her chair every single time. I am so grateful for all her help with feeling beautiful and feminine over the years! Dreamboat is such a beautiful and stylish salon, great vibe. I moved out of Portland but happy to make the long trip for cuts. So worth trying - you won't want to go anywhere else!

I am growing out a pixie and have a goal of achieving a long bob for my wedding next fall. Ocean asked me about my current hair frustrations, hair type, how my hair would move and lay, and hair goals. By the end of my visit I had the cutest micro bob and the star signs of every Vanderpump Rules cast member. Win-win if you ask me!

I recently moved to Portland and one of my biggest stressors was finding a new hairstylist. I got a recommendation to check out Dreamboat and decided to book with Ocean and I’m SO happy I did!! Ocean listened to all my weird descriptors of what I was looking for and delivered with a haircut that highlighted my curls and left me feeling and looking so good! I’ve already been back a few times and am so glad to have found someone I can trust with my hair. I’m so picky and Ocean always gets exactly what I’m looking for! You won’t regret booking with her.

I’ve been seeing Leslie for years. I’ve followed her all around town! She really listens to what I want, offers advice if what I want isn’t going to work with my hair type, and always does a great job. After building a relationship with Leslie she knows my lifestyle and that I’m not super fussy with my hair and I don’t use product. She gives me a cut that works with that and doesn’t require much maintenance. Go see her and you won’t be disappointed!! I’ll also say that after working with Leslie at other locations she seems really at home at Dreamboat which makes her all the more confident and a badass hair stylist!

I’ve been with Ocean for about 2 1/2 years now and she is the best stylist I have ever worked with. They are SO knowledgeable, so so fricking talented, especially at anything bang/shag related, and make sure you are 100% taken care of. She is truly so passionate about what she does and it shines through so so much. Could not recommend them enough!!!

Highly highly recommend Christy! She’s awesome with curls/waves and really listens to what you want. She also helped me understand how to use Innersense products and now my hair feels so much healthier and is easier to style.

Dream Boat is a bright and inviting space filled with comfortable seating areas, plants, and tons of natural light. The stylists I've interacted with are kind, professional, and fun. So grateful to have them in my neighborhood! Harry took wonderful care of me during a big hair change that was out of my usual comfort zone, and I could not be happier with the results. They were attentive, communicative, enthusiastic, and made me feel at ease and in good hands. One of the best salon experiences I've ever had!

I recently visited Dreamboat Salon, and while I wasn’t initially happy with my haircut, Ash and the team went above and beyond to make things right. Ash took the time to listen to my concerns, and the adjustment they made completely transformed my look. I couldn’t be happier with the final result! The professionalism and care I received made all the difference, and I’m so glad I went back. Highly recommend!

I’ve been going to Dream Boat for the last couple of years and have yet to come close to finding such kind, creative, attentive stylists anywhere else! Recently, Tianna cut my hair for the first time and I haven’t ever been so excited by a haircut and received so many compliments. I recommend her work to everyone and she does all sorts of cuts and styles and has been doing hair since she was 18! I’m excited to go back to her for a balayage soon :)

I told them I have allergies.... They said no problem. Well, after I got out of the salon with my hair dyed my head itched like crazy! Hives next morning all over my scalp, then my head swole up. I took three ER trips because of this reaction. What a nightmare. Told the owner, they never offered a refund. I attached their initial response to me telling them I had inflammation. THEY SENT ME A SCREENSHOT OF THEIR GOOGLE SEARCH FOR HOW TO CALM AN INFLAMED SCALP. Don't go here if you have allergies.

Really beautiful and cozy salon! Thoroughly enjoyed my service from Tianna, she instantly made me feel welcomed and comfortable. She was very patient and attentive with my ideas for my haircut and provided me with tons of useful information on styling and products to help achieve my desired look on a day to day basis. On top of all that, I walked out with a great haircut and felt much better! Highly recommend this salon and Tianna!

I’ve gotten a cut/color from Ocean twice now, and wow! Such a good balance of relaxing in the chair and enjoyable social interaction. I felt listened to and considered throughout the process. My hair looks/feels great and the compliments are nonstop! The overall salon experience is great as well, the vibes are so good and I felt super comfortable there. Highly recommend Ocean and Dreamboat!

Kassi at Dreamboat is seriously the best! I’ve had so many services with her, balayages and blonde maintenance or vibrant colors, sometimes just haircuts and each time, she nails it! The vibe at Dreamboat is so cozy and welcoming it’s my favorite in Portland, plus I love they use products that aren’t harsh on my sensitive hair or the environment. Even though I moved up to Seattle recently I still drive down to get my hair done by Kassi because I love this salon and I always have a good experience!

Ocean is a MAGICIAN. I needed someone to bring my long hair to life without losing too much length and she gave me the most gorgeous razor cut that air dries so beautifully, which I didn’t think was a possibility for my almost-straight hair. It usually looks so boring or so bad when it air dries, but this has been one of the best cuts of my life. I’m on a girls trip in Mexico right now and have been getting compliments on my haircut left and right. Thank you Ocean!!

The most dreamy, beautiful salon I’ve been to. Ashley is the most warm, lovely stylist I’ve had. I drive all the way from SE to Kenton to make sure I get my hair done by her. Can’t recommend her and the salon enough!
