I booked my appointment online with Kayla based on a previous review that I read from a client. This was my very first time visiting this shop. They specialize in Russian manicures. That’s what drew me to them as I was looking for something more natural for my nails. My experience with Kayla was not the greatest being a first time client. She barely spoke during the two hours she serviced me. If she did say something it was because I asked her something first and most times it was on purpose just to see if she would respond. Normally most nail salons tell you to pick your color right away before they seat you and/or pass you the plastic nails with all the colors they have so that once they’re nearly done with your nails you’ve already picked out your color. Well she didn’t do that. She asked me at the very end of finishing my pedicure if I knew what color I wanted, so then I happened to look to the left of me and there were the ring of plastic nails sitting next to me for me to go thru and do I said “oh I didn’t even know this was next to me”. She never responded, apologized or anything, so it took a few minutes for me to decide (not my fault). She just seemed not happy. Upon doing both my pedicure and manicure she cut my cuticles. She cut my cuticle on my left big toe. I bled. She apologized and put something on it. When she was doing my manicure she cut my left pinky cuticle and left thumb cuticle as well. They’re just now healing and the scabs have fallen off. She was shaky while polishing my toes. Now this review isn’t to solely throw her under the bus. I thought long and hard about making this review, but my conscience won’t allow me to let this experience “slide” especially with the kind of money I spent. Other than the negatives I like the shape of my nails, but I doubt I’d choose her as a nail tech in the future if I ever decided to go back to this shop. She needs to work on her customer service skills and be more careful with those tools!

Visiting from California—easy to make an appointment and got a great dip mani. Very nice salon! I don’t know if I’ll ever be back in Charlotte but if I am I will come back. :)

Fairly disappointed. It was $60+ for a gel manicure and it looks like a $20 manicure. My cuticles were not worked on at all. The polish had to be applied twice and filed down because it was lumpy. The salon chairs were uncomfortable, you could not cross your legs or stretch them out.

I got an SNS manicure here and was overcharged from what the price I have on my confirmation email and also the person doing my nails clearly didn’t know how to use the electric drill because she nicked me several times. I left my appointment with painful nails as she was either trying to rush or just didn’t know how to work the tool. Will not be returning.

Nail and cuticle trim + buffing… wonderful work from Kayla. Polish removal and repolish from unknown( did not offer her name ) were very poorly done. Note: this salon only works with gel… they will not administer “regular” polish… I had my own polish but had to accept the gel or go home

Kayla did an amazinggg job on my dry gel mani and dry gel pedi (~$115). I’m SUPER picky when it comes to shaping and she did amazing! The cuticle clean up and painting *chef’s kiss*. This was my first dry mani/pedi and I prefer it over traditional style. I definitely recommend. Anytime I need my nails done in Charlotte, I’ll be returning to Kayla.

Worst mani pedi I have ever received in my life. The copious amount of positive reviews of this place truly puzzles me. Pedicure has no bells and whistles. Zero water, scrubs or lotions. You are sprayed with sanitizer… most uncomfortable pedi ever. Even though they don’t use water you have to balance your legs on an unstable water basin. Makes no sense why they have that instead of a comfortable cushion stool or something normal. My legs were shaking the whole time it was worse than leg day at the gym for an HOUR. The mani I thought it couldn’t get worse but I was wrong. No way they know how to do dip here or maybe just the lady I had. I showed a picture of a review photo FROM THIS GOOGLE PAGE and she gave me a color nothing like it. I wanted a simple milky white like funny bunny classic and I got a grey ish heavily sparkly color. Uneven shaping and it is so lumpy and patchy. She kept touching EVERY nail at the end to see if it was dry and it was sticky and tacky. She legit wouldn’t stop poking and ruining them that I had to pull my nails back and ask her to wait. She looked annoyed at my nails the whole appointment as if they weren’t coming out how she wanted them too… like that was my fault or something. Dip shouldn’t take that long to dry and her technique was nothing I’ve seen before. Not to mention it cost $98 total. I shouldn’t have paid… the service, experience and final product were absolutely horrible. After 2.5 hours there I just wanted to get out of there but I wish I spoke up at the end but you could clearly tell I was unhappy…

As someone who frequents Dry Nail Bar in Uptown Charlotte, I can confidently say it's become my go-to spot for classic lashes (with Amanda) and manicures (I use Dasha). From the moment I step in, I'm greeted with a sense of calm and serenity, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. While I do wish they offered traditional pedicures instead of dry pedicures, the experience of getting my lashes done and enjoying an SNS manicure more than makes up for it. Best quality I’ve ever had on my nails! Julia does an amazing job. I was too busy to get my next appointment, so I had SNS on for 6 weeks…they looked brand new until the day they were removed…didn’t even think about starting to lift or chip. I will never go anywhere else as long as I’m in Charlotte!

I’ve been seeing Lisa for years and had no idea my natural nails could be so long until she started taking such good care of them. Aside from being the most friendly people alive, the whole team is so dedicated to making sure you get exactly what you want. Detail oriented and professional, and easily the best place in Charlotte to get a killer design. PLUS now you can get facials, waxes, and lashes too!

This was hands down the best, most satisfying pedicure I’ve ever had in my life. I’m in town for a wedding and stumbled upon Dry Beauty Bar. I got a gel pedicure and the entire service was flawless. My nail tech, I didn’t get her name, was so detailed in cleaning up my nails, cuticles, and feet. My toes look amazing and my feet feel amazing. I’ve never experienced a pedicure like this before. I truly didn’t want to leave when she was done. Locals- do not sleep on this place; out of towners in a nail panic- this is your place. I wish I had somewhere like this where I live.

Best manicure I’ve had in Charlotte by a long shot! Kayla was detail oriented and very thorough, and took extra time to show me a few different shapes for my nails when I wasn’t sure what I wanted yet. I never felt like I was being rushed which I really appreciated. I’ll definitely be back.

I had a lovely experience here!! I called after work and they squeezed me in for a manicure. Sydney was awesome and so sweet, she did a great job! I asked for something simple and classy & she did exactly what I wanted. The staff was very friendly, I will definitely be going back for my next appointment:)

I've come to this salon a few times for both gel and sns and all of my manicures have been very clean and have lasted for 3+ weeks. Kayla did the set pictured here for my wedding week and they were just perfect!

Kayla was great; personable and efficient, she did a great job on my pedicure. The pedicure chair itself is comfy, but the set up/foot rest could be better angled for tall folks. But notwithstanding that, I'll be back. I don't know if they have it, but parking validation would be an added bonus.

The worst! I should have just left. They insisted that they told me things that they had not, when I booked the appointment. The tech that did my pedicure quoted me one price and it was different upon checkout. My fingernail beds are bleeding.

This is the best nail salon in charlotte. Dasha takes such great care of my nails and it’s the perfect manicure every single time!
