While I was in town I came in for a blow out. My curls didn’t stay and I called right away as I needed my hair done for my engagement. No one bothered to call me back or reply to me till few days later and I was already out of town by then. They said they were “busy”.. I explained the situation and how I had to go somewhere else to have my hair fixed. Very poor customer service and slow response times ( if you get a response at all) I’ve been trying to get a resolution since Sept 2024 and I would NOT recommend this place. Save yourself the money and headache.

Waste of $100 (less the $15 scalp massage) My hair has never looked worse for an event. My request: Voluminous blowout with some curl - I received frizzy 1/2 done hair. 2 images of disordered almost curls and one picture of how my hair looked after 6-7hrs. After blowing and curling it she “curled” my hair AGAIN with a straightener. Obviously the curls didn’t hold because she used the straightener AFTER the curler. Still don’t understand why, when the curls looked just fine. Pretty devastating to waste $100 on a “treat” and my hair looked horrible for the wedding I was attending. Because it took TWO hours to mess up my hair, I didnt have time to fix it because I had to get ready. But the $15 scalp massage felt great. Usually blowouts and curls last me days…

Great experience at this location. Customer service was amazing. Scalp massage was worth the extra $ and my hair was perfect just as I requested it - silky, bouncy, soft waves.

Great experience at this location. I haven't always had top notch service at Drybars outside of my hometown, but this location was 10/10. Although they were behind on timing my stylist was efficient, speedy, and got me out the door on time with a fabulous dry style. I would absolutely recommend Drybar Downtown ATX for anyone needing a quick refresh before a work event!

I've had several great blowouts at Drybar's downtown location. As a frequent traveler and user of Drybar's services, I very much appreciate the consistency of service. This downtown location has associates that are really sweet and engaging, and were flexible in nature.

I’ve been to multiple dry bar Locations over the years, and this was my second time at this location. My first time I had no problems and everything went well. This time was not so great. Don’t get me wrong, the lady who did my hair was super nice, and did a decent job, however, my style did not hold for more than a couple hours, unlike it normally does. I got tight curls so that they would they would be able to be loose when I brushed them out later for dinner. But no, they didn’t hold For anything and my hair went back to flat. When I went to check out, The price showed up as $30 more than it should have been. When I mentioned it to the lady at the front desk, she was rude and had an attitude and explained to me that it was because it had went over the hour appointment time. I have never had this happen nor was I aware of any such policy. In all the years I’ve been going if my time went over a little bit, I was never charged. Also, that should not be the clients fault when I showed up five minutes early for my appointment, and I could not control that it took longer than it should have. I’ve always been done in under an hour, except for a couple of times that went over, due to chatting with my usual girls at other locations, but was never charged. This was not the case. There weren’t any long drawn out conversations, and it was not my fault. The timing went over then it should have.

Just got a blow dry from this location. Kate was phenomenal and my hair came out so nice for a wedding I'm in town for. Loved the atmosphere here too! 10/10

A warning to all Drybar goers and membership holders! I just had $300 worth of credit (six sessions) that I prepaid for taken away from me. I’ve been a member for over two years at this location. I didn’t update my new credit card in the reoccurring billing subscription and Drybar doesn’t have the administration to let you know to update it like most companies. Their front desk never informed me either. You have 90 days to update your new credit card or they’ll take your credit away that you’ve built up over time. I thought a membership would save me money and it ended up costing me more. Don’t do it.

I had the best Blowout in the Downtown Austin location. I was in town for a Football Game and wanted a great blowout! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with that amazing Texas hospitality. My stylist was Angele, she was fantastic and so professional. The wash was quite possibly the best I have ever had. My blowout was just what I asked for, Sleek and smooth, with just the right amount of product. Today is day 5, and I am still rocking my perfect blowout! Thanks Drybar Austin for delivering. 💛

Worst experience at any Dry Bar ever!! I stopped going to Dry Bat because of this location. The manager basically attacked me, saying my hair was long and needed to pay 70.00 for my blowout!! I gave a 20.00 tip so that would have been 90.00.. no thank you!!!

I had the most wonderful experience with Kate! She gave me a blowout that left my hair feeling sleek, smooth, and full of life. Kate was professional, attentive, and truly listened to what I wanted. Love this place. So classy and I felt so taken care of by my stylist Lisa. It was my birthday gift for myself and they were so sweet with me. I was a little late for my appointment and they worked with me anyways. Lisa was so fun to talk to with such a good attitude and so much warmth. My hair looked great too! I love the perk of some champagne also. :)

Lauren was absolutely outstanding. She listened closely to what I wanted and left me with a final result that was even better than what I had imagined. She is also just so friendly and I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with her throughout my appointment. Because I enjoyed this experience so much, I ended up purchasing a $90 monthly membership because I always want to feel as good as I did leaving there that day.

My curls didn’t even last an hour. Typically, when I get a blow out/ style it lasts for days. The top of my hair had curls, but the bottom was completely flat. I feel like I just spent $60 for nothing.

UPDATE: no one from the salon ever reached out to me unfortunately I made an appointment over the phone, initially for a blow out, but since I didn’t want/need to get my hair washed, the person I spoke with suggested a dry style. I was told that the salon had curlers and all the necessary tools to get the style I was looking for, but when I arrived, I was told the style I was looking for wasn't possible. The stylist offered a style that she thought would appear similar to what I initially wanted, but it turned out much curlier. I tried to fix it at home before getting my headshots taken for work, but I wasn't very successful. I wish the receptionist I first spoke with had been clearer about what I could expect with a dry style. :(

Awful experience. I had clip on extensions and they literally clipped some on to the top of my head, fully exposed. They have offered a refund for only extensions (and not for the entire styling) but after taking out the extensions, my hair did not hold the curl. I told the stylist I had very thin, fine hair so having clip in extensions is the only way of maintaining the curled look. Taking out the extensions brought my hair back to straight unfortunately. What’s more frustrating is that they thought it was completely acceptable for me to walk out of their establishment looking like that. The stylist never showed me the back of my head because she clearly didn’t want me to see the atrocity back there. It seems like they thought they could just fool me, but after taking a picture with my phone, I saw the mess on the back of my head.

I specifically asked for a stylist who had ample experience in textured curly hair and they gave me a stylist who didn’t even know how to detangle my hair properly nor did she know how to care for my fragile dyed curly hair. She didn’t detangle my hair before blow drying with a harsh round brush. I could literally feel and hear my hair breaking. The stylist knew she wasn’t detangling properly and chose to go forward with using a round brush to blow dry my hair. I had to tell her to detangle my hair with the correct brush and she still didn’t fully detangle my hair. Because the stylist didn’t know how to do my hair I got charged for the extra time. I will never come back and I’ll make sure no one that I know goes here. Thank you for not having integrity and this is coming from a hair stylist herself. I appreciate the stylist that took over, however, if I knew that my hair was going to be treated and look like this I would’ve done it myself. This is was I asked for and this is what I got… My hair didn’t even make it to the car.

I give them one star for their cleanliness. The hairdresser wasn’t skilled and was grumpy. She took large sections of hair when she blowed dried it. Never coming back here.

Manager on the phone was so rude and disrespectful. She would not cooperate was not willing to work things out. Wanted my party of 6 to decide right at the moment for what we wanted for our hair.

There are a few consistent issues with this place -reception and stylists don’t do a good job communicating so they often miss the add-ons you purchase -stylists should just set a 10 min timer for the scalp massage. They often don’t fulfill it, maybe because it used to be included with a lesser time period. Not sure. Hoping this feedback is useful for mgmt

Felicia is simply amazing!!! I had such a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The receptionist was so courteous, kind and helpful. Sorry I didn’t ask her sweet name. I’m from Georgia and needed some guidance. This is truly the most magnificent blow out I’ve ever gotten. Felicia is a darling person who did wonders with my fine, thin hair. I highly recommend this business and Felicia. Such a treat! Can’t wait to come back!
