Don’t even think to book an appointment here, especially on a day that you have a special event to get your hair done. The woman at the front desk is a nightmare and extremely inconsiderate. She told me 35 minutes after checking in for my appointment that they were so backed up they couldn’t do my hair on new years. Not only did it take me 40 minutes to get there in traffic on NYE, but she didn’t take into account that I obviously made the appointment to go out that night. She had no remorse and didn’t give alternative option. I even offered to do a dry style as opposed to a full blow out. This place is awful.

This specific drybar location double books clients (they actually told me they do this!), so your appointment start time is just a suggestion. They don’t bother letting you know the expected wait time either. If you make a fuss about the wait, they just cancel your appointment on the spot. I am not sure how corporate is letting this location run wild; manager’s excuse is “pandemic hardship”. It’s 2024.

I booked an appointment to get my hair curled before a headshot session. I'll admit to being slightly apprehensive because I saw some bad reviews, and things did seem a little disorganized - no one greeted me when I came in, and it wasn't made clear if I should check in at the counter so I just sat there aimlessly for a while before realizing I had to go talk to the desk. However, once I was sat down with my stylist, Devon (Devin? Devyn?), I did a vague, terrible job of trying to explain what I wanted and she somehow read my mind and gave me these beautiful loose curls. My hair is extremely thick and heavy and usually doesn't take to styling easily, but the curls ended up lasting for days with minimal product, AND she only took 35 minutes from start to finish. During the headshot session, my MUA asked who had done my hair and couldn't believe I'd gotten such a great style so cheaply. She even kept commenting on how good my hair looked throughout the day. Hopefully I won't need headshots done again for several years, but I won't have any reservations about coming back here when I do!

Management sucks! They didn’t accept my gift card despite seeing its number, its validity, and open balance. Extremely frustrating. However, the stylist gave me a great blowout. Lasted a long time, satisfied.

What happened to dry bar? Is it private equity that ruined it? because dry bar is now the most ghetto horrible place you could possibly even attempt to get your hair done. My appointment was 20 minutes late and the only reason they took me is because I just kept asking when will my appointment start? When will my appointment start? No one came up to me or when I checked in they were running late they just let customer sit there. Avoid at all cost unless you have an entire day to waste and a rundown dank place with horrible service. At the end of my appointment, the young woman who was checking me out was a palled. I didn't want to leave gratuity. Here is my tip stay away from this place seriously yuck.

This location either overbooks or the hair stylists move slow. I made a booking the day before and was immediately concerned after reading the negative reviews because my mother in-law was attending my wedding that same day. The staff was rude when my mother in-law had asked for an update; it had been 15 minutes past the start of the appointment time. When my mother in-law asked for an update, they said they don’t know and shrugged their shoulders. They showed zero effort in reassuring my in-laws and we lost confidence in their ability to complete the appointment in time. My mother in-law left the establishment and went to a different salon that was excellent in their technical skills and had a wonderful demeanor.

Incredibly disappointing experience. My daughter and I went for a mother/daughter date. I had added on scalp massages and even confirmed them that morning but apparently the stylist wasn’t aware. When I asked about the massages, the stylist said “we usually do the massages at the shampoo sink”. My daughter and I had barely left the sink so why not just take us back? Additionally, the place wasn’t busy so again why not make it right? It was pouring and windy in NYC so the massages were part of the experience otherwise, why bother? The staff was also unfriendly and unprofessional. They barely said hello. I will not return. Disappointed!

Arrived for my scheduled appointment. There was no hair dresser to do my hair. Only one person was working and she was double booked. This location does not honor your appointment. I had run out during my lunch break to get my hair done for an event right after work. I recommend scheduling elsewhere especially if you’re in a time crunch

DO NOT GO HERE! Late for appointment. I could go that day. Woman told me that would not charge me and sure enough they did. I paid $66 for nothing! When I called and asked if I could get another day, woman at desk said no. DO NOT USE.

Just a phenomenal experience altogether. All the staff was super friendly. I went in a Wednesday around 12pm to find only a handful of people there, which was wonderful compared to other over packed and over priced salons. It was quiet and relaxing. I highly recommend my stylist Katelyn who was able to straighten my thick curly hair in record time.

Scheduled an appointment a week in advance and took a 6am flight to be on time and they cancelled 45 minutes before the appointment, really unprofessional and poorly handled. I’m a member of their program too, avoid this location.

Great concept! Walked in, got styled and walked right back out! I have medium length fine hair and was in and out in 15 minutes (just styled not a full blowout). Can’t wait to come back and get the full experience. Andrea made me party ready and I got so many compliments!

It was a disappointing experience !! The management team were not professional at all!! They gave us an appointment at 10! We arrived at time but the lady said “the hair stylist is not here and i don’t know when she will arrive “!!!!! I mean seriously! I had a flight and i had an appointment with them!!!! They don’t even try to give us a good customer service or discount or anything!! They literally said the best we can do is cancel the appointment! What a service! The lady on the reception was very rude! After we done we wanted to pay cash and she said we don’t take cash!! How would I know if she did say nothing about it!! She was really rude and not nice at all!!!

Well, where do I start? From my experience with the receptionist, setting up my appointment to the stylist who did my hair, my experience was awesome. 💝 Kristen, was very professional and welcoming. Not to mention I looked amazing when she was done. 💃
