I've had Drybar memberships in the past when I was living in Miami and LA, but since moving back to Pittsburgh I hadn't visited the location in Upper St Clair. Booked a blow out appointment on a whim the night prior. Walked in, was greeted warmly by the front desk team, was introduced to my stylist Charae, and had a wonderful experience from start to finish in the salon chair. I asked for a 90s Denise Richards, and Charae 100% delivered. Soft, touchable, large barrel curls with a LOT of body. My session was yesterday - so I've slept on it and took a shower pinning my hair up - and the photo here is from me today. Still looks amazing 24 hours later. I ended up committing to the monthly membership and will be specifically requesting Charae from here on out!

I rarely give a bad review but this was a mess from start to finish. I have never visited the Dry Bar before and decided to treat myself to a blow out before family pictures. My appointment was at 1:00 (pictures at 5:00) so I allowed myself time in case of delay. I was taken around 1:40 and out the door by 2:00. I was apologized too frequently while waiting which was nice but then 2 stylists did my blow out and my style and it definitely looks like 2 people rushed to get me out the door. Two different curl patterns and a frizzy mess is what I walked out with. They even mentioned it was the fasted blow out ever. Wow! I didn’t care because I understand things run behind, I just wanted a nice blow out. I paid and tipped like I would if I were satisfied and left. The manager called shortly after to apologize and say I was not going to be charged. Thanks to the manager but I would rather pay full price and leave satisfied. Now I return home to hopefully fix my hair.

I'm here every week! I love it! The staff is wonderful. I always enjoy my time here and my hair looks great when I leave.

I had an appointment made weeks in advance. The girls standing around up front weren’t very friendly, I presume they thought I was younger because one asked if I was going to prom (it was a Monday at 11:30 am? I’m 32) but I’d still hope they wouldn’t be condescending to a teen either. The girl checked me in and the other two just sat there with stale faces. Another girl came from the back and did my hair. It was just okay, and only sort of like my reference picture. I love the idea but won’t be back.

I was just there with my two daughters. My youngest daughter’s stylist did an amazing job. She was amazing with my youngest, took her time and her pricing was more than reasonable. However, my ten year old daughter’s stylist did a simple style, a short French bread on the side and the rest of the hair pulled back into a bun. I was charged $100 for a 10 year’s hair to be pulled into a bun with 1 braid. We did NO washings. I can’t see how they are justifying charging $100 for a child’s bun that took less than 30 minutes.

I was so excited about this place! I went here to treat myself for my engagement party and get my hair washed and styled since I knew I would be taking a lot of pictures for my party. The hair wash was amazing, cannot say enough about that. But unfortunately the hair style was absolutely awful. I said I wanted the “southern” style, so very big volume and I wanted very big but tight voluminous curls. The stylist even suggested since I was there hours before my party that she would curl it and pin the whole thing up for me, which was also wonderful. She sprayed it really well before I left, I went home and had the hair pinned for about another hour, and I even hair sprayed it while at home before taking the pins out. I took the hair out and one side was completely flat and the other was barely loosely waved. After putting my jewelry and shoes on for the party (10 minutes max), my hair was completely straight with a few ends flipped. This was extremely disappointing for the price of 100$. Please note my hair is long and thick and usually curls very well! If I wand it myself the curls/waves will last for days if I don’t wash it or brush them out. So this was not about my hair. My mum also got her hair done at the same time by another stylist and her hair looked amazing the whole night at the party! Based on other reviews, it looks like this place is inconsistent and depends on who you get as your stylist. My stylist was very nice and sweet and professional. But paying for this hair and having it be so bad for my party when I really needed it to look good was so depressing and upsetting.

Called to make an appointment and asked four times if they provided haircuts. They said yes, so I continued with my booking. Arrived and they were sassy with me when I asked again to confirm in person and told me no. Hostess was very unhelpful. Waste of time.

I know sometimes people hear bad things about Drybar but I swear by them! I have been to this location a few times because I have the monthly membership for $45. I highly recommend it to all my friends and family because it’s such an amazing experience in between getting your hair done. They have multiple options for you to select from & add on services. The staff is always so kind & welcoming. It’s such a nice relaxing experience. I told a few staff members that I struggle getting my hair how they get it & will show you what they do what products will work best for your hair.

I called first thing in the morning and was able to get a same day appointment. The staff was friendly and made me feel welcome. They even had a good drink selection that they offered before I got started. My hair feels soft and ready for the weekend. Great value for what you get! Perfect for a little me time!

I love this place. Getting my hair washed 2x/month with a glass of champagne is an absolute treat. The barfly membership is a great deal. I've had different stylists almost every time and all of them have done a wonderful job so far

I would really rate 0 stars but there is no option for that. I called and made an appointment for myself and 3 of my friends to get treatments and blow outs. After 3 follow up clarification phone calls, I signed a contract for the services that were supposed to be rendered. When we arrived, the stylist said abruptly that they only had time for 2 treatments because they were “busy”. Meanwhile, the one stylist left early and only one other customer came in during our time there. When I questioned the manager she told me I was wrong. She told me that I only scheduled two treatments and two regular blowouts for my party. Then I produced the signed contract that clearly supported my side of the argument. The manager then proceeded to charge one of my friends for a service she never received. I never received a sincere apology. This place is poorly run and I have had better customer service at McDonalds.

I have never hated the way my hair looks more. I would have looked better not styling it at all. My hair looks nothing like the cosmo-tai. I also have bangs that I told the woman about, and they were not styled whatsoever. I’m very disappointed, dissatisfied, and all around just upset with my experience. I don’t even know who did my hair because she did not tell me her name. It was awkward and we did not talk much. I will never go back, and would recommend just doing your own hair.

Very disappointed with my recent visit. My hair style was good but they charged me twice. They processed my card then said it wasn’t working and processed it again on another card terminal. After the appointment, I checked my bank and it showed that they had charged me twice. I went back and they refused to believe that I had been charged twice. Even the manager blamed my card. I had to insist and show them the screenshot of the double transactions before they processed a refund. I understand when mistakes happen but people should correct it and treat their customers with respect rather than deny evidence. I won’t be going back or refer my friends again.

Sooo I cut and dye my own hair because it's very curly and it's a dry mess but I was not shamed during my blowout and she did a stunning job in 50 minutes wash and style. I was trying to stop myself from impulsive cut or dye and this did the trick. Thanks drybar! That was a nice self-care treat!

I have a few notes about my visit to this DryBar location: **I was greeted immediately. Those at the front (unsure of pronouns) were so patient when I asked questions & when I wanted to switch from a blowout+braid to an uptini. **They also let me use their pen & write out my wedding card while I waited. They offered a drink even though I had a drink in my hand already. Very nice & thoughtful! **Hannah D. was AMAZING as my hair stylist. She was so nice and the right amount of talkative. Additionally, she gave great directions for my hair and my Dutch braid was just tight enough but didn’t give me a migraine. If I have another event, I am going to use her. 13/10 would recommend Hannah D. at this location!
