Was taken almost 40 min late for my appointment time. I tried to speak to the front desk person for an update on the time I would be taken as I had been waiting a long time, and she ignored me, AirPods in ear, playing on her phone on social media and went to the back. When my hair was finally done, it was frizzy and not curly. The person spent 20 minutes on my wash and dry/style appointment in total. I missed my reservation for dinner. I called the shop to ask to speak with a manager regarding the experience, the manager was not available. I was told the manager would call me back the next day and never did. I’ve been coming to this shop for years and was super disappointed to have received such terrible service. There is a lack of accountability and they don’t seem to care about the poor service they’re providing.

They can get very busy at time, so always make an appointment to ensure you can be seen. They do a great job, and I am always happy with the quality of work when I leave.

I really want to thank the front desk people and Hanna for today. It was very busy when I stepped in but I explained I couldn’t be late because I had my engagement photo shoot right after. Two minutes later I was swept away and Hanna gave me the most perfect blow dry in less than 45 minutes. Hours later I still have volume and waves!

Was seen earlier than my appointment which was great! Hanna did my blow out quickly and expertly and was super nice! Will definitely be back again!

Writing in on behalf of my wife Save your money, your hair, and go somewhere else. My wife booked an appointment before our wedding and this place ruined her hair and left it damaged long after our big day. First and foremost when we walked in not one member of the staff acknowledged us, welcomed us, or checked us in. Almost an entire full staff instead just stared at us coldly. Second, after finally being checked in my wife was assigned what we can only assume was a newer person with a busted chair. During her appointment she was not serviced like every one else, while every other chair was treated warmly with drinks my wife was tucked away in a corner and barely acknowledged. Third and more importantly, the person working on my wife was awful. She didn't understand the style that was requested and bs'ed her way through it, she de-tangled her hair only on the surface level and barely did that correctly while huffing and puffing with an attitude, she rushed through washing her hair, she killed her ends, she completely forgot to add heat protection to her hair until towards the end of the appointment, she didn't add the product that cost extra that my wife specifically requested, when my wife requested curlers (like everyone in the salon had) she was denied it and instead was worked with a flat iron, every time my wife attempted to reposition herself because of the busted chair she was forced back down, and lastly the person providing the service added a dozen different types of product to fix her mistakes to the point it ruined the texture of my wife's hair, left it incredibly frizzy, and not at all styled how she wanted. We came in hoping to leave with dream hair and instead we left with a nightmare that couldn't be fixed. My wife was rightfully upset, angry, and frustrated. If you're a regular, presumably, you'll be treated well as we witnessed while here. If you're a first time client or a non regular expect the worst because obviously they do not care about you, your wants, or your hair. And after reading the other bad reviews this seems to be a trend. Do not come here, do not provide them your business, do not waste your money. Run far away and find some place else

Do not go if you have extensions - I got home and 3-4 were pulled halfway out of my head with broken hair. Very inexperienced. Hair wasn't even curly. Bad experience and damaging

I guess this place won't see me again. Here are the facts: I have been a loyal weekly client always on time and always great at tipping. Twice in a row (two consecutive weeks) the team was 45 minutes late. Now I get it that managing operations in such a place must be hard but hey I showed patience, never complained and just waited with a smile on and great tips. Today for the first time I was 9 minutes late. Not 45. Just 9. Upon my arrival I get told that because I'm late they can only do a dry service. Now as I come here weekly my hair needs a deep wash. I explain but I am met with rigidity. Not even a pinch of empathy or like hey let's try. Nothing. As a result I had to leave and scrambled to find a place to get washed and blow dry in time for dinner. What an uncomfortable experience. Not that anyone was ever kind here but today was the last drop. Sorry but you lost a customer!! If that matters even.

I hated it. I asked for the cosmo style, which I’ve gotten many times before, and she just curled my hair however she wanted. I could have done a better job myself. When I told her this was not what i expected, she was rude and defensive. The front desk people were nicer to me about it and asked if I had time to fix it now, which sadly I didn’t. So I’m on my way to a party feeling awful about my hair, and angry at spending money on this and also being treated poorly by the stylist. I’ve been coming to Drybar for years and never had such a bad experience.

Started here in 2023 when the Meatpacking location closed. This location has some friendly front desk workers. What keeps me coming back every-time is their Stylists, Dolores, goes by “Dolo” (off Wed & Sun) and Hannah (off sun & Mon)

The whole experience sucked. One stylist started me late barely washed my hair and then as she began to blow out my hair she ran off with no communication or warning. I sat there for 20 min before someone else took over. My blow out was rushed. I asked for my hair to be very sleek and smooth, with waves using the straightening iron as I have curly hair. I left with a bunch of product in my hair and my ends curly and frizzy. My hair was not fully dry and it was not smooth or sleek. I had to go home and fix my hair. I would not recommend or ever go back.

My recent visit was extremely disappointing. I have very long hair and went in for a blowout. Unfortunately, during the process, a full piece of my hair was broken. This has never happened to me before, and it was quite upsetting to see my hair damaged in this way. I hope the salon addresses this issue and bring more attention to details to prevent it from happening to others in the future + No offer coffee/tea

Was visiting NYC and went in for dry styling to curl my hair. No offer for drink/coffee. Fastest dry styling in my life (15min), whereas my stylists usually take about 45+ minutes. All my curls fell out within 20 min after—stylist did not apply heat for more than like 2 seconds and didn’t hold the curl, so they didn’t last. I ended up having to re-curl my hair when I got back. Not worth it.

This was the worst blowout and customer service I've ever experienced at Drybar. The stylist was rude from the start, constantly complaining about my thick hair and even insulting it, calling it dry and damaged. She couldn't handle the blowdry and insisted on using a flatiron despite my clear request not to. When my mom saw the mess and suggested using the flatiron, the stylist rudely told her to step aside. Later, during checkout, she interrupted our conversation to aggressively question if we were tipping, while the manager did nothing. She was so rude, it was shocking. Despite our frustration, we left a cash tip, but the stylist kept being rude, yelling at my mom when she pointed out her tone. I asked the stylist to not speak to my mother so disrespectfully 3x on separate occasions. This was the worst service and blowout ever, and a complete waste of $70. I'm extremely disappointed in Drybar and their management.

I can’t delete my last review, I wish I could. So instead, I will write a follow up review. I went to Drybar Tribeca last week just before a convention. The hairstylist hadn’t quite done my hair exactly how I wanted it and it looked silly and I had to redo it so I was upset, but I should’ve lived on it before I wrote such a negative review because he gave me a good baseline, and I was able to adjust it to my liking. Also, I had had an appointment at Drybar Flatiron and they couldn’t accommodate me at the last minute and Drybar TriBeCa did accommodate me. So I was given to that stylist at the very last minute, and he had accommodated me which I did appreciate. He may not have done my hair exactly as I wanted it and it may not have come out the way I truly wanted it, but he was able to give me a solid base that I could work with and the way he styled my hair gave me some ideas on different ways to style it also. So I appreciated that. Everyone has a bad day and may not be exactly what you think they are but I’m choosing to see the good and the experience and to appreciate Drybar TriBeCa for everything that it is. Today, I did my hair in a different way because that stylist gave me some lessons informally. I truly appreciate that.

Probably would not come here again. There are better dry bar locations in midtown that give me a good blow out and handle my frizz. I left this place with so many fly aways and less volume than I typically would have after a wash. It looked ok enough but definitely not great.

Rude staff, they only took 10 minutes to do my hair, told me there was no time to touch the blow dryer even though I had 20 minutes left in my appointment and I OFFERED TO PAY FOR FULL STYLING. I just wanted a little volume with the blow dryer. Ridiculous manager Margot with zero customer service. Go to Blow Bar on Nassau street which is very close for a much more positive experience. No wonder this place has terrible reviews.

Avoid at all costs and do NOT pay upfront! Never has my hair looked so bad. It looked like I had fallen asleep with a swim cap on. The crown of my head was plastered against my scalp and my ends were frizzy. Other customers were horrified. They refused to re-do it because they were too busy. I had to find another salon to wash it out and redo it. They were shocked too.

Booked a last minute blowout online and was lucky to have Arlene do my hair. She listened and delivered exactly what I wanted. Not only that, but she made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Highly recommend booking with Arlene!

Got a blowout today for the first time by Tiffany and she did amazing. My hair has never looked so amazing. She did it so quickly too. I have very curly thick hair and it still came out voluminous and soft. Will definitely be coming back!

I am not someone to review places… this is my first online review ever. With that said, DO NOT GO HERE. I just received the worst blowout of my life. The woman took about 1/4 of my entire head of hair and was running the blow dryer along THIS ONE SECTION OF HAIR for 3+ minutes before I asked her to section it smaller to avoid heat damage. She looked at me like I was crazy, and took out a small amount. She then ran the dryer along THE SAME SECTION for another minute before I asked her to section it smaller, again to avoid heat damage. She told me my hair had good elasticity and she put a heat protectant spray on it so I shouldn’t be worried. I insisted that my hair would break from damage, as this has happened to me before and anyone who styles hair should understand that you don’t blowdry the same section of hair for FIVE WHOLE MINUTES. She then suggested I get a different stylist. The receptionist moved me, didn’t apologize, and did not acknowledge the issue. The second stylist finished my hair, but just barely. It’s dry, damaged, the roots are in all different directions, and the ends are sticking out and wirey from damage. It looks so bad that I am walking to another salon to get it fixed. Truly the worst salon experience of my life. Do not go here.

Second time coming to this place and I'd definitely come back again! The staff were friendly. I got Marina again and she was sweet and attentive. I got the Southern Comfort blow out but not with too much volume and it came out great! Can't wait to come back here. Also there's free wifi. They have great music blasting so for those that don't like that you were warned. This place never disappoints!
