Melanie SAVED... MY... HAIR!!! I had a disastrous cut by another stylist (losing 3" in the front instead of 1/4") and I was absolutely devastated. It really affected my confidence and I basically wore my hair up for 8 weeks. Fortunately, I was referred to Melanie and from the moment we met, I knew that my hair was in good hands. Because I didn't want to lose much more length, she discussed 3 different options. She gave recommendations but wasn't pushy and really wanted me to decide how to move forward in a way that I would be comfortable. She understands that we can always cut more off but once it's gone, there's no going back. Her salon is warm, friendly and inviting. I couldn't be happier and am looking forward to my next appointment.

My go-to place! I don’t currently color my hair, but I love how in-depth Melanie is with her cuts. Felt like I was heard on every concern with my hair and left with products that were perfect for my hair! So happy they are so close to home too.

Melanie Horan Owner/Master Stylist fit me into her busy schedule after I called and explained that I had cut my own hair. She masterfully corrected my cut and gave advice on color and highlights. I love my new haircut! I’ve already scheduled my highlight appointment with her. My advice: Don’t cut your own hair. Go see Melanie. You won’t regret it.

Melanie is great! I never feel rushed when I go to see her. She takes time to listen to what I'm looking for, she answers my questions, and is able to give me the haircut I am looking for while giving her own professional input. Before I started coming to her I was frustrated because I never felt like the stylist was really listening or doing what I wanted and I always left with a haircut that looked nothing like what I was going for. I have never left DuRay Designs feeling like I got a subpar cut so she has earned my trust. Melanie is professional, personable, and pleasant. I have only seen her three times, but she already feels like a friend. I highly recommend DuRay Designs!

But then I met Melanie Melanie has been fantastic. In addition to being a great person, she is also incredibly talented and passion about what she does. Melanie was amazing from start to finish as she took her time to listen to what I wanted and lent her expertise to make sure we nailed the final look, which were face-framing layers that worked for my naturally wavy hair. Had a great experience and I’m loving how my hair looks and feels, both worn naturally and when I style it with hot tools. I will be back again, thanks Melanie!

Melanie is amazing! I hadn’t been to the salon since the pandemic and had no idea where to even go (I’m new to the Anthem area). I found Melanie while searching and she was willing to squeeze me into her schedule. She did an incredible job giving my hair new life. I have natural curls and loved that she was excited to work with them and make them beautiful again. She listened to concerns I had about my scalp and hair health and gave me some great recommendations. I don’t usually like blowouts but the one she gave me is beautiful and looks great even the next day! She truly cares and is a pleasure to be around - our appointment feels like I flew by. I will definitely be going back.
