I absolutely love my hair. It has been so hot and humid here in Dallas lately, so I got an amino acid treatment. It has made my hair so much more manageable! It has stayed so straight despite the humidity. Dyson is the best, and is hilarious! You will definitely have a good time while getting fabulous!

I had my first appt today with The Dyson of DysonStyles himself. It was a stellar, professional experience! I was most impressed that he actually asked Me abt my hair and he listened to what I had to say and addressed my needs. He also advised me on a better way to maintain my natural hair. I started going to Dyson in 2022 and not only did he treat my hair better than I’ve ever had it treated he’s a great, loving person seriously. Every time I get my hair done my scalp feels amazing my hair feels amazing he’s so good at what he does and he does it with a loving smile. Not to mention he did Beyoncé hair! I love my hair stylist and I’ve never been disappointed ever! The shop is a vibe black excellence♥️

I tried to give him a chance to give me a refund on my deposit but he wants to ignore people when I respectfully presented him with the facts. 3 weeks ago, This man accused me of disputing the charge from him doing my hair A WHOLE YEAR and some change ago (which I definitely did not the work is always great but the way he moves is absolutely disgusting) anyway that’s ridiculous and I already let him get away with charging me a second deposit the last time I got my hair done and just charged it to the game with a NON disrespectful post (which it doesn’t matter it’s my page and I’m gonna tell the truth) like how are you asking AT the appointment if I paid the freakin deposit knowing good and well that you don’t accept/confirm appointments unless you pay the $50 deposit within 10 min of booking like come on now😒 … But back to 3 weeks ago AT my supposed to be appointment I arrived on time (4:00 pm) and he’s still doing another head I’m like ok I have a 10 min grace period so he might finish her in 10 min… but no he goes 36 min into my appointment time choppin it up with this lady asking if she wants extra stuff done like curls and said 3 sentences to me being nice so I’m waiting patiently and then at the 40 min mark he had me sit in the styling chair to bring up a post and treat me like a fraud and accuse me of disputing his service charge from a year and some ago like what in the world why would I keep coming to you ? And after I kept telling him that’s not true he kept accusing me and I’m like so what ? And he just shrugs and goes “I need to see the cash in your hands because…” and “I think there’s a 7 11 down the street “ and I’m out in the cold downtown waiting on my ride to come back I was still willing to pay and just not come back again but I pull up the bank statements circle the charge and no signs of disputes to be found that I look up and he left the salon getting in his car AFTER HE JUST TOLD ME TO GO GET CASH FROM A CORNER STORE…. Anyway just be careful if you still go to him, and screen shot everything

I’ve come to Dyson for the past three months and it’s a complete breath of fresh air to say the least. He specializes in maintaining hair length and growth. I can feel a difference in my hair after the protein treatment and my style typically last til my next appt (3weeks). He is always professional and I’m always in and out without feeling rushed.. I recommend this shop to everyone who is looking for healthy hair care!!

Dyson is the only person I trust to keep my natural hair healthy and beautiful. My silk press experience has been nothing short of transformative and the personalized hair care maintenance routine he created for me is taking my natural hair to new heights. I can’t wait to see how my silk press evolves thanks to Dyson’s patience and attention to detail. He will not rush doing your hair. The shampoo is my favorite part. Dyson is amazing!

My experience w Dyson was that he is heavy handed, doesn't take the time to gently comb out tangles - I have between 4A/3C hair. I told him I want bouncy large waves and low heat. He burned my hair. You could smell burnt hair on my pillowcase, when I put my hair to my nose. He used sooo much heat, it was so flat it would not curl. He tried to pin curl as he added additional heat to curl with the iron. Took the pin curls down and flat, too damaged. Stop using super high heat on our hair. Many ways to achieve soft, flowing damage free shiny style with putting in the time, wisdom and truly honing your craft or work. I've experienced it before and do it for myself. No high heat, no heavy hands. Use technique, take your time with repeated passes using medium heat. Burnt hair is no fun. Put a comb next to the scalp and stop burning people's scalp or get new glasses. Not cool.

Dyson has been caring for my hair for the past two years and my results are always IMMACULATE! I have standing every three week appointments and he delivers impeccable service without ever compromising the integrity of my hair. His uplifting personality is also an added bonus... The overall environment of the salon is warm, welcoming, and vibrant. If Dyson Styles doesn’t do your hair then you haven’t had your hair done!!

Dyson is by far the best in Dallas. Prompt, knowledgeable, and worth the wait. The best silk press ever. My hair is shiny, straight and full of movement. I really enjoyed my experience and there was no long wait for service.

He is very rough and heavy handed... He does not work well with 4A/4B hair. I can only imagine how rough he will be with someone with 4C hair... He also burned my scalp several times!

Horrible customer service. Had to cancel my appointment three weeks prior due to something completely out of my hands and was refused to be refunded. So don't book with them unless you're a psychic and will know for sure that you can make it to your appointment! Update - Customer service will be the downfall of this place. This whole system seems very insecure, if I had gotten my refund I would for sure re-book. But after this ordeal and the lack of understanding I will not be re-booking. They're basically getting paid for doing absolutely nothing which is infuriating. I've also seen from the reviews that he's caused multiple women to have irreversible damage to their hair, yet on his instagtam he claims that his clients never have damage which is a HUGE red flag!!!! I really wish I read the reviews before booking it would've definitely saved me the headache and from getting robbed of my money. So anyone that's considering booking, please read the reviews and trust your gut!

I had my first visit, and it was great. Dyson is very professional, and so was the staff. Since I have gone natural, Dyson by far the best stylist. My hair feels healthy and beautiful. Thank you so much and looking forward to my future visits.

So my story is I booked an appointment in December 2020 with a $25 deposit. I believe it was for February 2021 because it seems like he always booked. Then when it came time to my appointment in February I had to cancel, due to something that had to due with covid. It seems like he was understanding and emailed me to let me know hope everything is ok and so forth. I thought that was a nice gesture. Fast forward to July 2021 I remembered there was a $25 deposit that was placed with dyson. So I booked for September 2021 which was the earliest appointment available.... I did see where his deposits are now $50... So I thought to myself since I already paid $25 I can just send another $25. Well I get a text message 10 minutes after I booked asking about am I a first time client and I texted the issue of me booking and had to cancel in the past. So sent screenshots with all the info etc and then was told "It's been over 6 months, we have a new system and now we need another $50 deposit. I said " NO, because no where on the website does it state how long deposits are good for" And mind y'all I did tell whoever I was texting I can pay another $25 to make it an even $50. Lol well I was told that's not acceptable and to send a request to received my $25. What a joke! customer service is gonna run his clients away, so sad! I gave 2 stars just because I did get my money back however going back and forth through text message was tacky! Respond to this review however you'd like. He's not the only person in Dallas that does good silk presses. I will definitely pass😀 ***update***I dont care for the response..its still tacky as hell going back and forth with a client!!!! THANKS

Update: 4 years later Dyson is an astounding stylist. Four years later, and I would never go to anyone else. Not only will you leave looking and feeling beautiful, but you will have and maintain a healthy head of hair. He uses the best products and takes time to ensure you are receiving the highest level of service. He is attentive, willing to answer any questions you may have about your hair, and gives his all to ensure your satisfaction. He is by far the best stylist I have ever frequented. Do yourself a favor, and do not let any negative reviews deter you. Be your own judge, and thank me later! I have gone to this man for YEARS, for good reason! All my hair fell out, and I was completely devistated. Finding Dyson was a BLESSING! He is the best hair dresser I have EVER had, and I go to him faithfully. His silk press is second to none!!! You'll walk out of the salon looking better than if you got a perm. I literally get compliments on my hair daily. My hair has grown so much since initially seeing Dyson and is healthier than it has ever been. Do yourself a favor and check him out. You'll be hooked!

I tried the service again instead of sticking with my main stylist😢 “ Big Mistake” .... I was burned several times, the next day I had scabs in my head. Secondly, my edges were not straightened, my hair lasted all of one week. I’m highly disappointed. Oh not to mention the back whispering with the lady in front, in sure because he knew my hair wasn’t done well.

I was a little hesitant about posting this review but I would hate for anyone else to experience what I experienced. I booked an appointment with Dyson for the day before thanksgiving about 2 months in advance. I have been natural for about 6 years but mainly wear my hair in braids under a wig and get it professionally straightened once a year during the holidays. My appointment with Dyson was set for 4pm. When I arrived about 5 minutes early I noticed that there were about 3/4 girls before me. Additionally 2 more women came in at 4:30 so it was clear that he was overbooked. I did not get my hair washed until 6:00pm. On the way to the wash bowl he whispered to his assistant that my hair looked too tangled and if it was he wasn’t going to be able to do it. This is where I initially became very upset and concerned. If you think you won’t be able to do my hair then please tell me that when I first arrived so I won’t waste my time. Throughout the washing process I continuously asked his assistant if she thinks my hair is too tangled and she kept saying no I think it’s fine. I told both the assistant and Dyson that my ends are bad and definitely need to be cut and that I always experience single strand knots. Dyson told me to my face that he had no idea was a single strand knot was. After getting washed and a steam treatment Dyson said my hair was really damaged and started cutting it WET!!!! About 1/4 of the way through blow drying my hair he said he couldn’t do it. I left his chair with tears in my eyes, half of my hair chopped off and extremely dry and brittle hair THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING!!!! Thankfully another stylist at the salon was able to do my hair after thanksgiving and my silk press turned out PERFECT!! If you have course hair please do not go to Dyson. His clients have heat trained hair and he does not have the time to actually look at your hair and determine what needs to be done. I have never left a hair salon balling my eyes out before. I also never received an apology from Dyson. Thankfully I did not have to pay for the service but he still has my $25 deposit.

Today was my 1st Appt. w/ Dyson and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience from the curiosty of his fellow collegues, the salon ambiance, the assessment of the state of my 4C hair, and the Stylist himself, Dyson. He made me feel extremely comfort on top of having my hair (especially ends) feel like it has never felt before (literally). I am so grateful for my experience today and will be booking my next appointment immediately as coming to see Dyson is now apart of my healthy hair regimen. ❤
