Yi is the best! I have been going to him for the last two years, since he opened his shop. He uses the best products and is so precise. I get a straight bob cut and he does it better than any other hairdresser has in the past. He offers you tea or water and creates a warm, friendly environment. Support this local business!

First experience here a month back, I booked based on positive reviews (lucky to get an appointment day of via the easy booking process on the website). This a wonderful, cozy studio and Yi is an incredibly talented and compassionate artist. He explained everything about the process very thoroughly and struck the perfect chord of conversation and relaxing silence during the service. My hair is fresh and beautiful. Will be recommending to my friends and family. HIGHLY recommend this excellent small business.

I have been cutting my own hair for years. Ever since I got a few terrible haircuts back to back, so I was pretty nervous going to E Hair Studio. The second I got there I felt at ease. Yi is detail oriented, full of passion for his craft and an overall brilliant human being. He did something that is pretty rare in his profession: he listened and gave me what I asked for. He took extra time to really consider what I wanted, and I walked out of the studio with the exact haircut I had hoped to get. Bonus: after the haircut settled a bit it keeps surprising me. It’s easy to manage, looks great with very little maintenance, and suits my face shape so well. I wish I could keep this secret to myself, but I want Yi to get all the recognition he deserves. Highly recommended.

I just had my first haircut here with E. Having tried yelp’s top 3 neighborhood hair salons for years without full satisfaction, I can happily say FINALLY!!! His attention to detail is amazing. I have a very specific request I ask all the stylists, and so far, E is the only one who got it 100% right. His technique with shapes and textures was really impressive. Def recommend!

I went to this salon for a transformational hair cut (really long to a short bob). It was easy to book through the website, competitively priced, and the stylist really took the time to create a look that worked for me and checked in with me at various stages in the process. He was very kind and great at his job--I have gotten so many compliments on my new haircut!

Another great hair color session with Yi. We took my hair a few shades darker which changes how it lightens in the summer sun, it's brilliant! For years I got highlights, but somehow Yi had figured out how to give me the depth I love in my color, adapting to the season and the amount of sun, without the need for highlights it lowlights. I love my hair!

E did such a great job cutting my hair! I have difficult hair and he spent an enormous amount of time making sure it was cut evenly and beautifully. He definitely took the time to listen to what I wanted, and to give me his thoughts and opinions as well. One of the best cuts I have ever gotten. Thank you, E!

I booked an appointment day-of and Yi fit me right into his schedule and made me feel at home. He took the time necessary to pay attention to the details. I appreciated his clear communication throughout and particularly his willingness to go above and beyond to give me an in-between clean up cut. If you are looking for a great professional to take care of your haircare needs, go to E Hair Studio. Bonus -- a beautiful interior decoration which reflects your new, stylish cut. Next time I look forward to adding a beard trim. EDIT: I saw he was using my review as marketing material so I want to add a sincere edit. While someone like me is not the right fit for this shop, Yi treated me with nothing but respect while I was there and that is all I can ask of from a business owner. I am so grateful he is a part of our community and is elevating the quality of life for all of us. I was a hairdresser’s model for Vidal Sassoon and other top stylists in the US for many years so I know a good haircut when I get one. Yi looks at the person, gets to know them and their lifestyle before he starts cutting. Then he takes into consideration your facial features and how he can compliment and balance them perfectly. I would highly suggest Yi for the haircut you haven’t been able to find anywhere else.

Made my first appointment based on a neighbor's recommendation - and could not be happier! I was looking for a haircut and a fall refresh. Yi was helpful in making recommendations based on my hair type and face shape - but left the decision to me! Very happy with the result, and will be back. Yi gives creative and meticulous haircuts. He has a great eye and is very precise. He listens and makes good suggestions. He’s cut the hair of three people in my family and done a fantastic job every time. He’s also an engaged small business owner who adds a lot to the neighborhood! Highly recommend.
