Steven is by far the most reliable and talented hair stylist I’ve ever been to. I’ve always had issues with barbers as they typically are really good at using clippers but not so good at using scissors. On the other hand, many hair stylists I’ve been to are good at using scissors but not so good at using clippers and blending it all together. Steven does it all and really understands what you want. He’s a great person to talk to and I look forward to getting my haircut with him every time.

Steven is the best hair stylist. The place is cool and intimate. You don’t feel rushed. Drinks are offerred. Hair requests are satisfied.

This was probably one of the best experiences having my hair cut. Aside from very good attention to detail and being able to accomplish what you want done, he is a very good conversationalist and super nice. I had been looking for a new stylist since my previous one stopped cutting hair and I'm very glad I chose him. Highly recommend everyone to make an appointment!

My partner and I have been going to Eastwood Cuts and Color since we moved to Los Angeles in 2022. We have since moved out of the neighborhood, but still trek to Avenue 64 to get our hair styled by Steven. He is warm and friendly, has a very comfortable environment, always offers snacks, coffee & sweet treats, and even helps us learn Spanish. He is always down to do something new or different with a haircut and it always gets compliments when I'm out and about. Highly recommend this spot, you will not regret it.

Steven is truly a gem! I had been looking around for a good barber for several years. As a gay man, barber shops can sometimes be overly masculine and uncomfortable for me and the styles that I like might be out of the norm for their typical clientele. I'm so glad that I found Steven. His space is so cozy and welcoming and I feel I can be myself there and I know that he's going to do an amazing job with my hair and know the styles that I like.

I never write reviews, but I'm doing so for Steven because he's just that good! Steven and his Eastwood Cuts & Color are a breath of fresh air in the neighborhood; even if I didn’t live close by, he’d be well worth the commute. First off, to step into his place is to leave the rest of the crazy city behind and enter your own private and very stylish oasis, where you’ll be 100% the center of attention. Steven is a pro at the top of his game. His styling skills are on point and consistently great every time. He really takes the time to listen and find out what you want, and he checks in along the way to be sure you’re happy with the progress. Plus I get compliments on my haircut after I see him every time. As if that all’s not enough, his people skills are excellent too! He’s a lot of fun to talk and connect with, and he even remembers things I’d forgotten I’d told him, then follows up on them the next time I’m in. He’s a great listener, whether you’re seeking some good advice, or just want to vent and have a laugh. Oh, and it may seem an odd addition to call out his bathroom here too, but do yourself a favor and be sure to check it out! The way he artistically decorated it with his collection of eclectic tiny framed pictures is truly amazing, and speaks to the breadth of his talents, beyond even his exemplary hairstyling skills. 10 stars for Steven and Eastwood Cuts & Color!!

Steven at Eastwood Cuts and Color creates a comfortable space for the excellent service that he provides. I have been having him cut and color my hair for a year now, and I look forward to every appointment since he is so friendly and professional. His community involvement is amazing and I highly recommend booking an appointment. I would give 10 stars if it were possible!

10 stars!!!! Steven is an amazing!! he has highlighted my hair many times + dyed it pink and it always turns out just like the photo i show him. the salon’s atmosphere is super peaceful and he always offers lots of refreshments. he also uses high end products to avoid hair damage and my hair has never felt better. I could not recommend this place more!!!!!💘🌟🌟🌟

I can’t rave about Steven enough! This review and post is way overdue as I have been a client of Steven’s and Eastwood since it opened a little over a year ago. I was still relatively new to Los Angeles, looking for my first haircut in the city and stumbled into Steven’s new spot. He was, and continues to be, kind, courteous, and very professional. He wants you to have a wonderful experience and really takes the time to get to know you and vice versa. After many years of living in and getting haircuts in Chicago, NYC, and DC I honestly can say Steven is the best and certainly my favorite! Don’t think about it another minute, just book an appointment! Trust me, you won’t regret it. Cheers Steven!

Best Hair Salon I can trust. I haven’t done my hair for over a year and I came to this hair salon. And I was nervous but I was welcomed with great service. Very clean and very peaceful. Steven has been cutting my hair for the past three years and just has that professional edge that's really hard to find out there. He's always bringing his great energy into every cut and his smile is puts you at ease every time. One thing that's really helped me maintain my style even weeks after visiting Steven is his very detailed instructions on how to properly blow-dry and use product. Steven is amazing. I contacted him to setup an appointment and he responded very quickly with how I could book an appointment online. It was so easy and convenient! I arrived a few minutes early, and Steven was ready for me right away, offering me a beverage to drink, which is a lovely touch. I am so happy with my haircut!!! Steven is fantastic at his craft! We talked generally about what I was looking to do, and I put my trust in him. He came up with a plan and went to work while I sat back and sipped the refreshments he created. After carefully working to bleach and tone, cut and style my hair, he created a hair style that I am so happy with! He also did the Brazilian Blowout which really topped it all off. He really went above and beyond, I can’t wait for next time! Thanks Steven!

Steven is so awesome at hair that I legitimately sit in his chair and have him do whatever he wants. I never had my hair colored until this summer and it’s been an amazing experience. He decided what color I should do and we’ve touched up my hair 3 times this year. Everyone from family to strangers love my hair.
