Savannah is a detailed, creative and thorough colorist and hair stylist! Her balayage always gives me natural, sun-kissed, beachy hair. AND she is kind, supportive and genuine, the exact opposite of the cliche LA stylist who is superficial and pretentious. I always enjoy our talks when I am in the chair!

Today, I had hair cut appointment with Young Lee. But when he finished cutting my hair he didn’t tell me to shampoo and just styled with wax. Also, when I called Young he told me the hair cut would be $50 but he charged me $55. This place is the worst place I have ever seen. Also, they didn’t follow CDPH orders. Because one of the customers kept coughing without a mask. But no one asks her to wear a mask nor ask her if she got a vaccine Also Young was coughing and and had a runny nose.

I found myself at the wrong end of a transaction with a business with less than honest intentions. Solely based on reviews, I felt good about scheduling a haircut with Penny. But, as soon as I arrived home and really looked at my hair (and face and white top: plastered with cut hair. re: white top - she just had me put the robe over my clothes at the chair)...the realization that I did not receive a proper haircut started to dawn on me. I went in for a long layered haircut (this is not a new-to-me style; it's been my hairstyle for years). Next thing I noticed is that she starts thinning my hair. No cutting or shaping. Just thins... I remember seeing her digging in her rolling cart looking for something...did she not have her tools there?? For the entirety of my haircut, the only tool used were the THINNING SHEARS! No wonder my hair looked hacked. But, everyone makes mistakes. I went back the following morning to make things right. Young Lee, the other owner, started to lecture me on what a layered cut is supposed to be... but, after a couple of passes through my hair, he claims Penny "cut my hair correctly but left some pieces long." His next appt arrived and he says something to the effect of it's better and, so, that was the end of my time with him. I did thank him for his time. He spent approx. 10 mins on my hair. See pic (taken after both Penny and Young cut my hair). Yes, my hair is better than what Penny did, but, is it right? even a haircut? what I asked for? paid $80 + $20 tip for? I also phoned Penny a few days after requesting my $80 back...she told me she was busy and would call the next day...to this day, no call from Penny Lee of Edgy Hair Salon. The best way to prevent a bad haircut from happening is to avoid getting one in the first place…I would avoid Penny and this salon.

I went to this hair salon because I got bored with my hair and I wanted to have a new look. Thankfully, the hairstylist was so creative and made sure that the style suits me. I will surely recommend this hair salon because they exceeded my expectations!

I had the worst experience here ever. When I arrived I knew that the color I wanted wasnt going to be achieved in one session and I knew that I had different colors in my hair but with that being said they didnt tell me it wasnt going to be achieved. LEE told me I would have two tones of color in my hair. What I dont understand is if it wasnt going to come out nice why didnt they just tell me no it cant be done. When he finished my hair and I saw the finished color I had three different tones in my hair. I wasnt happy with it. My hair was burnt and dry since it got bleached . The next day when i washed my hair i had so many colors i had green blue white brown yellow orange it was so bad and my hair was dry burnt and unmanagable. I obviously started to cry I was so upset especially because they wanted me to still pay full price for all this. I went back to the salon to see if I can either get this fixed or get a refund. The lady in the front was so rude, and mean and didnt wana help me she had big ugly lips and looked like she was full of fillers. But over all her treatment towards a costumer was horrible she screamed at me wanted me to just leave I asked to speak to the owner she didnt want to let me talk to the owner.. she even pulled my hair to try to take pictures because she said my hair looked fine.. over all this is the worst place I have ever been to. She accused me of being cheap and just wanting to get a free pass. Honestly if the salon messes up ur hair it's there responsibility to make it right. Also it's not fair to charge me money and when I have an issue you dont wana deal with me. I have a doctors appointment this week and if i have any issues with my hair since my sculp burns i well take legal action . . Just wanted to update this because I got an email from a costumer asking if I can post pics of my hair ... well here it is ... !!! They charged me 400 for this hair burned and messed up my hair is still recovering and it's been months.. the first pic shows how it looks when its straight and all the rest is natural its completely burned
