Complete waste of time, ruined my confidence for an event, my time and my afternoon. I booked an updo as I had an event at 5pm. Booked for 2pm was confirmed the night before. I left work early so that I could make this appointment. The man that greeted me was rude and asked what I wanted and said that his assistant probably can’t do it anyways, YOU HAVE PICTURES YOU HAVE PICTURES?! Yes, I came prepared and early. His assistant just looked at me puzzled and said “no” Now I have no time or place to get my hair done before a black tie event. Steer clear of this place.

Took my daughter for a haircut and had an amazing experience! This place is very clean which is a huge plus! Effie listens to what you want and does exactly what he promises. One inch off the ends meant one inch off! Absolutely amazed with the services provided!

I brought my mom here to get a hair cut and the styling was perfect. Effie takes a multi step approach. First cut while wet. Second after a blow dry. Multiple passes executed til it lays perfectly. Great listener too to what you want but don’t want. If I lived in nyc I would be s regular too

Effie is the greatest! Gorgeous cut, the color was exactly what I wanted and he even got me out of my comfort zone with some subtle highlights, Such a lovely boutique salon in Upper East Side! Thank you and will be back!

Effie is the most amazing stylist I've ever had. He is completely transparent when he makes suggestions about my hair and I trust all of his decisions. He turns my hair into gorgeousness, as I get compliments all the time. Not only is he a great listener and gives the best advice. Love him and the salon - there is no where else I'd rather go and would never let anyone else touch my hair.

Had an appointment @11 AM. I was told Effie was not in. The salon made no attempt to cancel my appointment. This is the second time this has happened. Not reliable.

I had an absolutely amazing experience here. Effie worked a miracle on my hair! I wasn't happy with my color from a previous appointment at another hair salon, and he understood exactly what I wanted and exactly how to execute it. He is someone who knows what he is doing. Everyone in the salon was unbelievably friendly, so not only did I get a fantastic color and haircut, but I walked away with my awesome blow-out, just feeling very happy and positive. Best hair salon in upper east side!!!

The best Hair Studio ever! I’ve been looking for a good hair master, but this one is way more then I expected: he is excellent! It’s was so hard to find the good hands to take care of my curls, and Effie just got that magic touch, which not only makes your hair beautiful, but also helps to keep it amazing. I keep getting compliments about my hair every day since I visited Effie’s Hair Studio, so it’s not a question where I’m coming back to do my hair next time.

I've been to Effies dozens of times and followed Effie here! This is by far my favorite salon as the staff is not only smart and knowledgeable, but they are accommodating and actually care! Its hard to find a place you feel comfortable to trust them with you hair and I feel very much at home here! Highly recommended!
