I saw Amelia and she was amazing!! I had never met her but gave her total trust and she didn’t let me down. My whole family says it’s the best hairstyle I’ve ever had. She was also extremely welcoming and made me feel comfortable from the start! Highly recommend!

Kirstin took me in last minute and she was so sweet, understanding and went above/beyond what I wanted & asked for! Gave me the most beautiful cut, blowout and style I’ve ever received from any hair salon- ever. Will be coming back to Kirstin, so happy I found her!! :)

I can’t wait to come back here for my next appointment! Amelia is an angel who worked miracles on my hair. I’ve never felt more beautiful or had my hair done in a way that truly expresses my personality, and I have her and the other wonderful employees to thank for that. Y’all are killing it!

My first time to the salon and had a great experience from the initial booking to showing up for a salon tour. Kelly listened to my hair goals and gave me a great overall cut. Will be back again!

I loved my service with, Kelly! She did such an amazing job. She made sure my vision came to life and I was happy. Such a lovely person! She also made help suggestions about products that would work well with my hair type. I will definitely be coming back! Also wanted to shout out the Receptionist, Emily. She was very kind and friendly and checked in to ask if I wanted a beverage or popcorn.

Kelly is great :) she’s transparent about pricing and if we can get to the desired color in one day or not. She’s very nice and doesn’t try to force conversations (as I am very bad at small talk) which puts my anxiety at ease. They also do hair consultations so everyone can be on the same page about everything from prices to type of cut to color. You get to be apart of the whole process and not just “let the stylist do it” !

How has every other salon in the world managed to do a fabulous job WITHOUT requiring a consultation? Any good stylist will get to know their customers hair within a minute or two. It's not that complicated!!! Anyhow, initially this salon seemed like such a good fit for me. The website even has a survey to match you with a stylist and I could not believe my luck when my match was also available at my chosen time. However when I called to grab the appointment, I was told that stylists need to spend 15 minutes before appointments with new customers to talk about their hair. Ummm, what? This might sound good in theory but in practice it doesn't work, at least not in my case. All I wanted was a simple cut but was told the extra time needed to talk about my hair would push the appointment into the next one. So I couldn't get a cut and the salon lost a customer. Lose/lose. A gracious offer to waive the long talk would have been the proper thing to do here.

Asked for a Balayage & showed them an inspo pic - dark brown hair with auburn coloring. Hair was ORANGE / light brown. Took them 2 hours to do this job for 250 bucks. They said a balayage is done by bleaching & toning the hair. Asked if they were going to dye it and she said she had other clients. Worst service I've ever had.

I have been getting my hair cut and colored here for the past 4 or 5 years and I couldn’t be happier! The girl who does my hair is very professional and definitely knows what she is doing! She always explains everything that she’s going to do and that reassures me! I always walk out of the salon feeling like a million dollars! I wouldn’t have anyone else touch my hair! I’ve always been happy with my hair! This is the salon to go to! I recommend this place to all my friends! ❤️

This salon is truly amazing! My hair is so curly and dry "normally " I left feeling great. A week later and my hair is still wonderful. Everyone is so sweet and welcoming. If you want a "not your ordinary salon" experience, I highly recommend making an appointment and checking these ladies out 😊

It was our first time at this salon and it was very impressive right from the start. I was initially impressed with their core values and honor code, which is displayed on their website. The staff was pleasant and helpful when scheduling, and my daughter had a great experience with Darian. She was very knowledgeable and sweet, and she made my daughter feel like she was important, beautiful, and her only client. She took her time, listened, and did an amazing job on the haircut. My daughter was super happy with her wavy hair afterwards. We will definitely come back to see Darian!

Previously got a hair cut there by Logan who did an amazing job and liked the place so much went back for partial foil/toner by Kelly. I honestly have never had my hair look so good! I will say, as someone who is use to getting their hair done in the Thurmont/Smithsburg area prices seem on the higher side. The expertise and results speak for themselves though, I’m absolutely loving my hair! 😁

Brooklyn was amazing . Never had a stylist be so attentive and thorough with the initial color assessment. It was hard to show her the color I wanted but she was SPOT on and the color was perfect.

I cannot say enough good things about this salon. I've been to many in three states over the last twenty years and this easily makes top three if not top spot. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming, Brooklyn was an honslest to goodness breath of fresh air as a stylist. She actually listens to you and even when she was done and I was THAT person that asked her to change it, she did without hesitation. Highly recommend, I will be a loyal client until if and when I move out of state.

I've been going here for almost a year, and I absolutely love the vibe and the energy of the whole salon. I see Darian who does my hair as well as my mother's and a few co-workers. She is absolutely phenomenal and kills it. Every single time period had to post a photo of her latest creation, which has me completely obsessing over my hair.🖤

Kirstin has been doing my hair for about two years and I cannot recommend her enough!! I have so much hair so my appointments usually take a while, but she makes sure I am comfortable throughout and the end result is always exceptional! I haven't had a less than pleasant interaction with anyone at the salon, they are all great and make getting my hair done a satisfying experience.

Took my 4 year old daughter here for her 2nd haircut ever, there was a mix up with our appointment, but they fixed it right away and got her in and did an AMAZING job on her hair. Darian was our stylist and I CANNOT recommend her enough. She was so kind, funny, and gave Rylee the best experience. We will be returning here!

Best Stylist Hannah at Frederick Elements of Style location. Hannah is able to deal with my difficult thick, curly hair but always provides a top notch color service while educating me on proper hair care and products that continue to add longtime healthy hair that looks beautiful. I always get compliments on my hair and she explains how to maintain my style until the next visit. you won't be disappointed when you choose her for your hair needs. she has many years of experience and knows color correction while establishing the health of your hair with no damage. I can't say enough wonderful things about Elements of Style. The atmosphere is great, they offer popcorn, sangria, and other drinks while providing services. It's the perfect place to pamper yourself. Hannah is absolutely amazing, she has done my hair for over 10 years now. She is a blonde expert and goes above and beyond to meet her clients needs. She knows what I want without me even saying anything. 10/10 would recommend her and this salon!

I have been looking for a salon for a long time and finally found it! I enjoyed myself today, and Logan took good care of me. The girls at the front desk were friendly and professional. When I arrived at the salon, she gave me a tour around and offered me a beverage. Then, Logan did her magic on me. I came to the salon with my hair dry and Cooper/orange color, and she transformed me into a natural, beautiful Ash Brown. Also, she waxed my eyebrows perfectly 👌! Logan is a fantastic stylist! Go to visit her. She will make you look and feel gorgeous.

I love this place! I started in Eldersburg. When I was desperate to find a good stylist after moving, everyone kept telling me Elements of Style was the best. They were right. Now I go to the Frederick location, I followed my stylist, Dawn, to the new location when they first opened. It has only gotten better in the years since. The stylists are all very good and take care of my entire family now. SO glad I found Dawn and the Elements of Style locations.

Jess is INCREDIBLE! I went to her for the first time recently and she gave me the hair of my dreams. I’m not even very good at explaining what I want because I’m very new to getting my hair done professionally and she just somehow understood my gibberish and gave me the blonde I’ve always wanted. I used to think I didn’t care that much what my hair looked like, now I NEED my hair to look like this forever! I would take a photo but I’m in bed and don’t feel like getting up and yes I realize it’s 4:30 PM. Anyways go to Jess for all your hair needs!!

Taylor is great. She is very patient and straight forward. She does great job of explaining her thought process and the options you have when it comes to trying to achieve the color you’re after. She is also super personable and funny! She made recommendations and suggestions for things I normally wouldn’t go for but it always turned out great. Highly recommend her :)
