I found Essence after a terrible experience at another shop in Columbus.. and I LOVE her and this shop! It’s nothing but a vibe. From the moment I walked in the ladies have been nothing but welcoming and fun. Their hours are so accommodating to people’s various schedules and every time I leave from there I feel like a million bucks! Honestly… I’ve never seen a bad style coming from this shop. I would definitely recommend Elevation is Key and u can’t go wrong with any of the stylists there. But Essence kills it every time!

I got some really cute tribal braids done by Alexis. This will be my second time coming to elevation is key. The vibe of the whole salon is chill, relaxing and of course just fun. Something that I've been missing out on getting my hair done.

Appointment was canceled by stylist due to impending severe weather conditions….acceptable ….canceled 30 mins before my scheduled appointment….unacceptable! My time was not valued.

I visited Karen Sealey at Elevation is Key to get a stitch braided design up into a ponytail. I knew she was good by her work shown on StyleSeat but she superceeded my expectations! I recently cut my locs and I know nothing about hair but she took the time to educate me so I left with what I wanted. This was my first ever style with weave, I'm tender headed, and I'm picky about my hair and she slayed my hair effortlessly. The environment was clean, comfortable and her music selection was just my speed! I look forward to going back to her in the future!
