UPDATE: Shirley Stratton’s Elevation salon suite is now off of Northgate in Colorado Springs, near Monument. She is still doing fabulous cuts, color, roots and highlights. 🙌 Original post: I am THRILLED with my new cut and color, and the excellent, attentive service Shirley provided at Elevations Salon & Spa in Monument. I drive by this salon in Monument on my way to North Colorado Springs, and after meeting with the owner, Shirley, I decided to give it a try. Shirley took time at the beginning of my appointment to go over the style and color I wanted, and after reviewing an “inspiration” photo and going through the texture and thickness of my hair, we went through the color options. Shirley is highly skilled and very talented, and her artistry and attention to detail resulted in my new layered-bob, which is exactly what I wanted! The color is perfect, and she even applied a “shimmer” that brings out highlights. This California girl highly recommends Elevation Salon & Spa in Monument, Colorado. Thank you, Shirley!

Shirley fixed my way too dark color job I got previously. Best highlights I ever had and got lots of compliments on haircut. She stays up to date by continuing to take professional classes on the newest styles and products. Also sells and recommend products that work. Highly recommend.

Walked in late on a Saturday afternoon in need of a haircut. Since it was a slow day, I was seated right away. I received a great shampoo and scalp massage and terrific haircut. Looks like I have found a place to get my hair cut regularly and it is 5 minutes from home!

New to Colorado and I was so scared to let anyone new cut my hair I have had the same stylist for 25 years! However, Chrissy was Amazing!! not only is she very professional and knowledgeable she had me feeling like a beauty Queen when I left! Such a sweet lady highly recommended!

I live in Nashville, TN, but make regular trips to Colorado Springs for work. I literally wait as long as I can just to see Shirley. I call her my “Hair Guru”. I would recommend Shirley to anyone! I mean, think about it. I fly 1000’s of miles just for a haircut and color! Shirley, you are the best!

Bought a promotion they were doing. Buy a packet for several services they offer for $50. I since then lost my packet, called to see if they had any record of me or if I could come in to get my hair cut with that coupon I already paid for. The gentlemen that answered the phone was very polite, but then informed me they didn't have any record of it. I asked for the manager or the marketing manager to call me, and I have yet to hear from them.

I was visiting family and had an important event to attend. Was in desperate need of a haircut and beard trim. a family member recommended this place and Christine was able to fit me in just in time. I asked for a comb over with a side part, short on the sides long on top. She aced it!!! I left there completely satisfied looking like a million bucks. Thanks Chrissy look forward to the next time I can visit

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR TIME. If I would have known that I would be dealing with such a poorly managed business filled with rude employees I definitely would have. A coworker and I bought a prepaid certificate from a sales person who came to our work. She talked up this promotion and although it seemed too good to be true she assured us they would cut and color our hair any way we choose with no extra costs. After calling to set up an appointment, and mind you the women was extremely rude and unwelcoming to begin with, she let us know that we would be scheduled around their “regulars” and that if we needed to cancel for any reason that we needed to do so way ahead of time so our slots would be available for a “regular” if need be. Already turned off feeling like an outcast whose business is not appreciated and not wanting to go at all now, she then informed us that we were only allowed 7 foils and that additonal costs (more than $100 for what we were wanting) would apply. We were very angry and wanted our money back since the sales person gave us false information. After trying to call/txt the sales person for days and leaving her voicemails to get back in touch with us we finally called the salon back and they rudely rufused to give us our money back as well so we contacted our credit card companies and filed disputes. After months of battling them we unfortunately somehow lost and so I decided to move on with it and get my money’s worth out of the unfortunate situation. BUT GET THIS. I called back to schedule my appointments, once again a rude, unenthusiastic employee answered the phone and said that promotion is expired and they will no longer honor it. I was and still am irate! Here these people have my money and are refusing to provide me the services that I paid for because they have “expired”. So I demanded to speak to a manager, and was told I’d have to call back. I called back today, the manager answers (which I didn’t realize that’s who I was speaking to at the time) and after asking to speak to the manager she informed me they were busy, had clients waiting and didn’t have time to talk to me. She said the certificate had expired and they are in the process of moving locations so they were too busy to talk. I again demanded to speak to the manager and the woman LIED and said she wasn’t there. After I told her that I know she is because the other employee told me she’d be in all day today, she said I WILL have to call you later sometime because I am too busy at the moment to talk to you. Therefore I had been speaking to the manager the whole time and instead of taking the time to talk to me she’d rather be rude and come up with excuses. This business is so poorly managed, and had I not already bought the certificate I would have NEVER gave them my business in the first place after just a few minutes speaking to them over the phone. They would get zero stars from me if that would be an option. Unbelievable.

Went in for a trim and to fix layers I got at another hair salon and Chrissy was amazing! Very helpful and even taught me a few tricks to style and keep my hair healthy.

Went in for a cut and color today and Chrissy did a fabulous job. She also does nails and lashes, she also did my sister's nails and they turned out great. While I was there, Shirley did makeup for another patron and it was very stylish. Nice salon, bright and well lit, with a nice little waiting area and comfortable styling chairs.

Went in to get my tape in extensions done!!! Very very good job! Chrissy did them perfectly, you can't tell that they're extensions and you can't see where my real hair ends! 10/10 will definitely be going back

I just recently moved here from out of state and heard about this salon from a co-worker. I am a really picky person and usually hate new stylists. I got a color and cut and am truly one "happy gal". I explained to my stylist, Chrissy, the color and modern cut I was looking for and she nailed it! I've gotten quite a few compliments from my co-workers and even my husband did a double-take...he called my hair "amazingly sexy." I'll take that compliment all day long!! Price is a little higher than a bargain place but worth every penny for the atmosphere and friendly staff. I will definitely be coming back here for my touch-ups.

I found the experience to be like many other places. Sarah Dorr was fantastic and is an excellent stylist! However, Eva did a child's cut and charged her adult rate with a quality I was highly disappointed with- I could have received the same experience from a lowly chain. Going back was pointless and she just started chopping without listening. Not that she asked me much of anything along the way nor did she interact with me as the parent of a 10 year old. I am nervous to recommend the salon, however I have no reservations recommending Sarah and hope she stays. She is a talented stylist.

I have had many facials throughout the area and never have I had one that can compare to the one I received at Elevation. It was incredibly relaxing, very effective and affordable. I would recommend Shirley to anyone wanting an outstanding facial. It has definitely become the one and only place I will go to get mine :)!

I loved Elevation. I went in to get my hair color corrected and my hair came out perfect. For years I have been asking stylists for a certain hair color and no one has been able to do it until I came here. I finally found a good place to go!
