Elle, thank you for taking on a new client like myself who isn't knowledgeable about haircare. I had the full balayage blondeage service for long hair and a haircut. Professionalism is outstanding and the attention to detail is on point. I appreciate the amount of time it took to hand paint, such as adding the blonde placements to my fine/thin hair for dimensions. Adding shadow the roots gave it more depth. And adding toner and gloss tied it together for an overall natural look. It took a lot of work, skills, and vision to make it look effortless, so thank you for this wonderful experience. Five stars from me! Because I am a reserved person who does my own hair and makeup, I believe in Elle's work and had to book a hair and makeup session for my next business event. Thank you again.

I went in to get ready for the USMC ball, let her have creative freedom and boy, she was amazing! I just showed her a picture of the dress and she got to work! Both my hair and make-up were incredible and they went perfectly with the dress's style. Definitely going back for any future events!

If you’re reading this—look no further, you have found the best hairstylist in San Diego! I did extensive research prior to booking with Elle and was drawn to her because of the amazing reviews left by her cliental. Often times when I see so many 5-star reviews, I think to myself, “This is too good to be true,” but this is not the case with Elle. I came in for a haircut and Elle exceeded my expectations—she perfectly captured what I asked for through her meticulous attention to detail. I asked for a layered look with face framing layers and I got a new hairdo with layers that are perfectly blended in the back and movement/body all around. Elle is everything you want in a hairstylist: meticulous, professional, friendly, and technically skilled. Truly exceptional! Thank you for an amazing haircut! You definitely get what you pay for— I highly recommend Elle Jane Beauty and will be coming back for any and all my hair needs.

There is a reason Elle earns a 5.0 with her clients; she takes the time and care necessary to ensure she does everything impeccably. When I sat down for my coloring and cut, I never expected the class of service I got. She talked to me first about EVERY THING to make sure I understood what I wanted and what my current situation was with my hair. Because of several shoddy dye jobs by other places in the past and one of my own endeavors to dye my hair, I had so much damage, but it had never been brought up by other hair stylists, just colored over. Elle did such an amazing color correction to my hair, then she painstakingly took the time to make sure the new color was applied evenly. After that, she cut my hair better than I could have asked for, and also styled my hair to show me how it would look both straight and styled. I am OBSESSED with my hair now. In total she took 8 hours to do the job no one else had done before, all without breaks or even dinner for herself. That’s why she gets a 5.0; she is not just a stylist, she is an artist, and I highly recommend her to anyone needing some TLC for their hair!

Elle was able to book me for a haircut on short notice. Not only was she attentive to my needs and wants, but she also took the time to make sure my haircut was properly blended and paid close attention to detail. So happy with the end result! I highly recommend Elle and her services!!

I visited Elle yesterday for a hair appointment, and while there were some positives, I left feeling quite disappointed. Unfortunately, my appointment was pushed out by 30 minutes, which, given that I was scheduled to be there for 5 hours, made a significant impact on my day. This delay also resulted in a late start, further pushing my finish time close to 7:30 PM. I understand that things can get behind, but if a delay is necessary, it would be helpful to ensure that the client isn't left waiting again once they arrive. During our consultation, I clearly expressed that I wanted brighter highlights and full coverage of my grey hairs, aiming for a much lighter, blonde look. While Elle is undoubtedly skilled with color, the final result, though beautifully blended, was not blonde as I had requested. Additionally, the appointment ended up being much more extensive and costly than I anticipated, as I was initially informed that only a partial highlight was needed. When I reached out afterward, Elle kindly broke down the charges and offered me a complimentary cut for my next visit, which I appreciated. However, the miscommunication and not achieving the look I was hoping for were enough to leave me hesitant about returning. While I can't fault her color skills, the experience as a whole fell short of my expectations.

I need to address several issues and inconsistencies in your response: Firstly, your comment about my “experience” and the implication that my feedback was unfounded is concerning. According to your website, consultations for new clients were initially listed as required before booking a full appointment. However, I noticed that this option has since been removed from your website. Given this, your “no deposit, no secured appointment” policy was clearly not enforced at the time of my booking. I successfully created and secured my appointment without a deposit, which contradicts your claim. If deposits were required, there should have been an option to pay one during the consultation booking process, which was not available. My receipt indicated that there was no charge for a consultation. While I understand that you manage the salon alone, this does not excuse the lack of communication. If a solo practitioner is unable to respond to clients or manage appointment times effectively, implementing a system to alert you to waiting clients would be beneficial. Waiting 40 minutes without any acknowledgment or response is unacceptable, regardless of staffing limitations. You stated that you don’t engage in the practices I mentioned and implied my feedback might be unjustified because there aren’t similar reviews online. Just because negative reviews aren't visible doesn’t mean my experience wasn’t valid. The lack of acknowledgment or response during my appointment shows a real issue with communication and service, regardless of your overall review history. Additionally, I noticed a “cancellation” note was added to my receipt on August 31, 2024, at 11:42 PM, which is inaccurate since I did not cancel the appointment. Given that my appointment was at 1:30 PM and I did not hear from you until 9:00 PM, this note further confirms that the appointment was indeed booked and confirmed, contrary to what your response suggests. The timing of this addition to my receipt, following my review, raises further concerns about how this situation is being managed. Your dismissive and mocking response reflects a lack of professionalism. How you handle disappointed clients—both publicly and privately—reflects on your business. While I acknowledge your talent, if this is how you handle dissatisfaction, it raises serious concerns about returning. Potential clients will likely take note of how you manage negative feedback and may be deterred from booking with you. I encourage you to address these concerns and consider handling client feedback with greater professionalism and honesty, rather than removing booking options and implying the fault lies with the client. I recently had my first haircut with Elle, and it was a fantastic experience! My hair was in dire need of attention, with dryness and a lot of split ends. Elle worked her magic, and now my hair looks incredibly healthy and vibrant. I'm very picky about my hair, but Elle exceeded my expectations. The salon itself is awesome—very relaxing and beautifully decorated. I've gone through many hair stylists in the past, but I'll definitely be sticking with Elle from now on. Highly recommend!

My hair was truly deemed what I thought to be unsalvageable, and I booked this as a cleanup before extensions. After the appointment, I have been deciding whether or not I even need extensions because my hair is THAT GOOD. cannot recommend enough.

First of all, I love her! She really knows what she’s doing. I had my makeup done for a wedding. She asked my skin type and was already given instructions on what to do per the bride. Super talented, really nice, and easy to talk to. I feel like that is super important. She really takes the time to know you and what works for you.

I had the best haircut I’ve had in years! After an amazing shampooing Elle really understood what I was looking for, took her time, and by the end my hair was looking better than I had even envisioned! She recommended some great products and gave me some great hair care advice! If you want an amazing experience I urge you to go to Elle! I will not be going anywhere else for my future hair care <3
