Latoya is absolutely wonderful! I followed her from DevaCurl to her own studio, and I’ve never once been disappointed. Gets my natural cut just right, and grew my hair from thin and thick unhealthy to thick and beautiful! And she and Tashanna are the loveliest people - HIGHLY recommend all day!!!

My first time getting a consultation for my curly hair and got a detox included as well a curly cut. I am so happy with the results of my hair that Latoya achieved. My hair was almost to my hips and with the method I was shown I learned how to properly style. Would 100% recommend, worth the money.

Hands down the best hair cut/wash and go I’ve ever had in my life. There are so many stylists and salons that claim they specialize in kinky/curly hair texture and I have tried handfuls of these places and never have I had someone with Latoya’s expertise and results. I’ve been wearing my hair natural for 13 years and I didn’t even know my curls could look this defined and still be so voluminous. Latoya is a curl angel and I’m so grateful for her work! I cannot recommend her enough and I will 100% be a return customer.

I've known of Latoya when she was at DevaCurl's salon in the city. I never saw her there but saw her work and was always a fan. When they closed I was looking for a new curl specialist and saw she had a location in Brooklyn which was so convenient. I've been a loyal customer ever since. She's helped me figure out how to manage my different curl patterns, giving great advice on products and overall maintenance. Her attention to detail and investment in your hair journey is very helpful and supportive. I love my cuts always!!!

Latoya is THEE BEST curl expert I’ve ever gotten a curly cut from. I can not express the amount of true happiness this stylist has brought into my life. Latoya gave me the best hair cut I’ve ever had. My curls have are looking defined and very healthy. Not only is Latoya an incredibly skilled hairdresser but she made me feel at home in her studio. Where do I begin? After 28 years of relaxing my hair, I decided I wanted to give relaxing a rest and go natural. I transitioned for a year and was ready to cut off all of my relaxed ends. I saw Elle Beauty Salon on Instagram and contacted them right away. Latoya was AMAZING! She spent so much time with me! Showing me step by step how to achieve a great wash and go! She listened to my whole hair history lol! It was a phenomenal experience! I left her salon with such confidence in doing my natural hair! Looking for my next appointment!

I had the best hair spa experience today with @curlqueen_latoya. She gave me a Big Chop on my natural hair. It was beautiful...just us, one-on-one, a time slotted just for me! She answered all my questions, took her time with the scissors (the cut was perfect even before the the wash!), showed me what products I can use and how to maintain the curls. I haven't been in a salon since 2016 (and I've been to many) but this has been THE best "hair spa" experience I've ever had!!

I’d been a client of LaToya’s for over 5-6 years before moving out of state. In my new community, I struggled to find a stylist who would actually listen attentively to my *long* list of concerns. I was left unhappy with haircuts that did not meet my vision of shape and volume. I finally decided to return to NYC and book with LaToya, who once again proved she is a true master and scissors QUEEN! I truly feel JOY any time I leave her seat. My curls are BACK and flourishing in this cut. More importantly, LaToya recognizes and acknowledges my concerns re: my aging hair and provides a wealth of information regarding care. She literally pulled out research facts, c’mon hair scientist !!!! I’m ecstatic to have gotten my sense back and returned to my girl. I am more than willing to travel tristate for these results. I’ve been coming to Toya for natural hair since 2019 and I’ve never been disappointed! She has taught me how to take care of my natural hair and has even got me to my desired curl cut (bangs)! She so patient and honest! Her sister Patricia does my protective style (sewn in weave) which everyone thinks it’s my own! I truly love their work from their personality’s to their magic fingers!
