I can’t begin to express my gratitude for the amazing work done by Lily. Her talent transformed my hair into a masterpiece. She took the time to listen to my preferences and understood exactly what I wanted. She was able to execute the color I wanted and provided valuable recommendations and suggestions. If you are looking for your go-to, holy grail stylist, look no further. Lily is incredibly knowledgeable, intelligent, and is always refining her craft. She is a god-send and will provide you with Instagram-worthy, healthy hair. I first came to her salon six years ago moving from Minnesota to the Bay Area, after going through multiple hair appointments that were sub-par. Lily was able to take my grown out highlighted Asian hair and transform it into beautiful ashy blonde. Lily continues to work her magic every appointment I have with her. Now that I have moved back to Minnesota, I will travel to the Bay Area to get my hair done by her. She is worth it. I appreciate so much that Lily will listen to her clients and hear their concerns, while providing honest feedback, using her expertise and knowledge. I trust Lily with my 100%. She is also an amazing person, kind, and caring about her clients. I highly recommend her and her staff.

If you naturally have a dark hair color and want to be blonde? Then you must see Lily and her team!! Lily was one of the first people I knew to hop on doing balayage and making us Asians becoming blondes a reality! No more thick streaky highlights! That was over 10 years ago and I have stuck with her since then. She took me from BOX BLACK DYE to the beautiful blonde and multiple colors in those 10 years. After all those years of bleaching, my hair has never been brittle or weak. She truly cares about your hair and will never push it to the breaking point! When you invest in yourself, you truly feel the best!

I’ve been going to Lily for years! She is always taking care of my hair when I lift the color to get that ashy-blonde color for my babylights and she is really detailed, meticulous and experienced because in all my years of coming to see her I’ve never had any issues or discoloration. She actually fixed my hair when I first came to see her because the tone was getting too orange and she brought it back! Her haircuts are also amazing!!! She takes her time and treats her clients like friends and really takes care of them because she wants them to be happy with their hair. I’m always going to come to Lily’s because she knows all the latest trends too :) run don’t walk and book your appointment with her!!!! I’m so in love with my hair every time I get it done with her

Let’s just say Lily works her magic. She definitely knows what she is doing. She is awesome and and so sweet. She makes you feel welcomed and time flies so fast at the salon. My hair feels so healthy and the blending of the color is perfect. She is a perfectionist. I highly recommend her and investing in an Amazing hair dresser. I also travel from San Francisco to just see her. Worth the drive and moneys worth.

Lily has been a part of every special event in my life for over 10 years. From pharmacy school, to graduation, engagement, wedding, and two kids, she has taken care of my hair. Our first session was a correction. Since then, we have done pinks, purples, brunette, and blonde. My hair has stayed very healthy and luscious throughout as Lily is the best! Aizley and Monica are also so sweet. They have helped with my mom’s hair and blowouts.

Lily is highly professional. I’ve been going to her for years. She communicates clear about what I want. Her coloring lasts long with minimum care. I was able to maintain basically the same color as I walked out last time for 10 months with some basic purple shampoo and purple mask occasionally - I wash every two days. As a person with dark natural hair, ofc I want to go light, she’ll do it to the lightest BUT without ruining your hair. Some stylists do anything from the picture you bring in. But Lily cares both your outcome and your long-term hair health.

Lily is honest, hardworking, and super talented. She will walk you through what is possible with your current hair and stress the importance of working through a process. You won't be disappointed. I usually get babylights and a rootmelt. There is no harsh line when my hair grows out and I always get compliments at work. I'll always come back to Lily. I trust her with my hair and walk out happy every time. She recently moved to a different salon and it's a super cute location with parking.

Lily is the only person I'll ever trust with my hair. I have really thick, course hair, and loads of it. I'd say my hair probably weighs a good 20 pounds, no joke. Before I found Lily, no one seemed to know how to deal with my hair. I'd leave the salon with poor color, a bad bleach job, and out $600. Then come 2021, I was recommended Lily by one of my friends who had been seeing Lily for years. From just a quick look, Lily immediately knew how to fix my hair. She takes her time with each layer, masterfully creating dimensions and depth that left me unable to stop ogling at my gorgeous locks in the mirror. That was when I knew I had found the one. For as long as Lily still operates her salon, I'll continue entrusting my hair in her skilled hands.

Ok y'all - when I tell you I walk out of Lily's chair happy EVERY TIME - I mean it. She's THE BEST at ombré, baby lights, root melt and I trust her, her skills and her knowledge. She knows what she's doing, understands what you want and will always give it you straight. I've been coming to her since 2018 for baby lights and root melt and every time I get my hair done I always get compliments (even months later!!)

My normal hairdressers were both on maternity leave so I decided to try this place out. BIG mistake. I booked with a junior stylist because there were open appointments. I showed her two very similar pictures of babylights I liked and told her I wanted to be brunette, and that I don’t like my hair blonde or too light. I just wanted my hair to have some texture, keep in mind I get babylights 2x per year, so I know what to expect. She bleached the fudge out of my hair, and it was completely damaged! I’ve never had that happen before. It felt rubbery and so weak, it took her forever to even brush out all the tangles. When she was done, my hair was golden, not brown! It was so light and not even close to what I showed her! I told her immediately it was way lighter than expected and she said it’s only because the “money pieces” in the front make everything look lighter. I really tried to like it, but every time I looked in the mirror I wanted to cry I hated the color so much. I asked her to fix it a few days later and she re-toned my hair the next day to a darker tone. Her excuse was “the ashy toner here is really black so I don’t like to use a lot” …. Then get better toners! The only reason I gave this 2 stars is because the babylights were blended well and she gave a good haircut. However my hair is NOT the same, it’s so fragile and damaged, which I have never experienced before and I’ve received this same coloring service dozens of times. The worst part.. it took almost 6 hrs and cost me $500!! I’m sure the owner does great hair, but if your junior stylists cannot give a good salon experience then you should NOT be charging full price! Oh, and the salon was dirty.. take some pride in your salon and clean all the black scuffs off the walls.. very unappealing.

Generally speaking I'm a fairly easy going person but I really wanted to know more about this location and its pricing options and what they offer because it's in a convenient location (within walking distance). I called and the voicemail suggested that if I wanted to book an appointment that I should text the number called. I know that reading responses over text can at times lead to the wrong assumptions about a person/place but whomever was responding to my text really didn't seem to care about providing any information. Only after informing them that I'd be taking my business elsewhere did they even attempt to repair the damaged relationship but clearly, for me anyway, the damage was done. You can decide for yourself and I encourage people to come to their own conclusion--see the image of the conversation attached. I wish this business well, though! I may come back and give this review another look. I do try and not limit my experience of a place to the first encounter but first impressions are hard to overcome sometimes.

I have been going to Lily for 3-4 years alternating between balayage and babylights. She helped me maintain my super dimensional silver hair the entire time (with lots of home care too) and got so many compliments! People literally stop me in the streets to ask me where I got my hair done. Any time I get a haircut my stylist always comments that whoever bleached my hair did an amazing job (even my most recent cut even though it's been 1.5 years since I last saw Lily!). If you think the services here are pricey- just know that you're getting the best and it's totally worth it. I tried 2 other salons before sitting with Lily that were just as expensive but with much worse results and the stylists didn't care about me or what I wanted at all. Lily has so much personality, will be honest with you about what you can achieve in that sitting, come up with a plan with you to get your dream hair and really is amazing at what she does.

The hair coloring was awesome, haircut was to be desired. I did babylights with Lily and not only was she wicked fast, but the result was just beautiful. It's been a while since I've loved my color so much. She was also very upfront about what was possible which was great. If you get a haircut here, however, probably bring a picture and be very specific about what you want. At other salons, I tell my stylist a general length and then they are able to give me a really fresh modern cut based on that but here, I guess I wasn't specific enough and wound up with hair that is layered and uneven and I honestly think it looks like the female equivalent of a bowl cut.
