Marybelle did a wonderful job taking me to gray hair using foil highlights. It took longer than expected because stripping my old color out was a bit of a process. But I love my new color!

“I attended this school as a part-time night student, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. It often felt like the focus was more on bringing in new students than providing consistent support for the ones already enrolled. As a night school student, I felt neglected compared to full-time students. If you’re unable to commit to full-time attendance, I would recommend considering other options, as part-time students don’t seem to receive the same level of resources or attention. I hope the school works on improving support and communication for future part-time students.

A great precision cut by Alyson, who had never done this cut before, with excellent supervision and instruction by April. As an update, I came back for the third time for a cut. Nyima, supervised by Ms. Ferrell, gave me a perfect precision cut bob. Empire delivers, hands down, an outstanding cosmetology school experience. I’ll be back!

Went to get a haircut yesterday, they were running behind time, back to school, no problem. Received a very nice massage while she was washing my hair, then she listened to what I was asking for. I always ask the stylist their opinion and advice, and got a real nice cut and style. She took 5 inches off and I love it. Prices are great, people are great, they take their time and I have no problem with that.

As my time is coming to an end in Pre-Salon at Empire -Portage, I’d like to take time to appreciate the educator, Ms. Hillary. Her professionalism is outstanding, she teaches the proper verbiage to use as a future licensed cosmetologist and her authenticity is what truly cements the information given. I feel confident to continue my journey out on the main salon floor considering she emphasizes making everything we’ve learned our own and if /when I’m in need, I know that I can come to her. She’s really here for the students!! Thank you Ms. Hillary!! Lastly, shout out to the friends I’ve made this far. The ladies here bring their own talent. We learn from one another and can lean on each other. I appreciate you all!

I love Empire I have learned so much on my journey to become a cosmetologist there very respectful people I have built so many great friendships and the teachers here are amazing my ride here at Empire has just started and I can say Ms. Tammy has been one amazing, supportive teacher!! I was scared to start when I first enrolled but I have had nothing but good experiences. Ms Tammy Hillary has been the best pre salon teacher! I have not only learned so many new things but I have had fun doing it. For anyone wanting to join I would say do it! I have made good friends along the way and I’m excited to one day get my license thank you empire!!

I’m currently enrolled at Empire’s Portage location and am currently in Pre Salon. I just started not too long ago and can’t believe not only how much I have learned, but the atmosphere in my classroom. My teacher is Ms. Hillary and is one of the reasons Pre Salon is not only very educational, but fun as well. My classmates are super encouraging and I can see all the talent in our room. My experience as a pre salon student has been very fun and educational, I am really enjoying all the hands-on training we have done since day one. Miss Hillary is an excellent instructor, she makes the lessons engaging and easy to learn for everyone! I have and would recommend inquiring with Empire Beauty School to anyone interested in a future cosmetology career.

(Stylist: ELLA HUGHES) I came in for a clipper cut and left with the best head of hair you’ve ever seen. ELLA HUGHES did me right and sliced up my hairs like a master samurai seeking revenge by giving out stunning hair cuts. I my son there to get a haircut. I should preface by saying he is 2 and recently terrible during haircuts. The student there was SO amazing and patient. Her instructors came alongside her to help with my screaming 2 year old. They put this stressed out mama at ease. 10/10 recommend! Thanks Ella and Jessica!

I went in to have highlights and a nice wash done. Chelsey L. did an awesome job and was very thorough. She was very sweet and kept it fun. Even while learning she seemed very knowledgeable and even had others coming to admire my hair. She will be the only one doing my hair from now on. ❤️
