Honestly, never been to a salon where you can’t even come inside to ask questions or to know what’s best fit for a haircut or color. Without having to book online not knowing what would suit best. They also don’t answer the phone either, goes straight to voicemail. Sucks when you’re work traveling and just simply want to cut your dead ends. And there being a a sign in the front door saying “Door will stay locked until you contact your stylist” Maybe it’s because I’m from out of town… but damn lol all that extra stuff online for a simple haircut.. okay

Loved the environment. Everyone there was so nice. Connie did a great job on my hair. That was my first time there and when I left I went ahead and scheduled another appointment. Would highly recommend.

What I experienced with my son in this place was a nightmare. A lady named Alana helped me on Saturday, February 10, when quoting a work estimate, she told me 100 when I wanted to pay. It was an oasis. They didn't accept cards, so I had to go to the bank to withdraw money and then return to the hairdresser to pay, that day I did not do the work because I did not have the dyes. We scheduled for today Monday, February 12 at 11 am, it is worth mentioning that on Saturday and today I arrived very late for the appointment, everything was going well that's what I thought...my son wanted 2 shades of blonde dye from the Root and pink ends...when he finished the work he said that we would see the results later...he only applied dark pink dye from the Root to the ends and never applied the blonde and charged us 150 more...so he started again the odyssey, I was very sure that the work was paid, I didn't carry cash and they don't accept cards...I had to call my oldest daughter who works in Mississippi to bring me the money...my son was heartbroken crying because it was his birthday gift. .. he has major depression and it is difficult for him to go out, talk and trust people. Now there is 250 USD less in our account, a heartbroken child and a feeling of deep sadness in my family. Totally disappointed in this place.

Becky always does a great job. She also is the best at color in allllll of Memphis. Book your appt online and do it in advance. You won't go wrong getting your hair done here. I drive from Nashville to get mine done.

Connie did a fantastic job on my hair both times I saw her - it was exactly what I wanted. I had gone to at least a dozen different stylists over the previous ten years and it had always been close-but-not-quite. Finally! I'm only sad I had to move away. She was also very sweet and even sent me videos of techniques I could use after my appointment. The overall vibe at this salon and the cuts I saw other people getting are more on-trend than the local competition.

Really not happy with my service. I went there for "natural" highlights and the blond I got seems fake and it's way lighter than I was expecting. Color + short haircut was over $200. I have a bob cut, and I was really not expecting to pay that much, especially because I don't like the cut either... I asked for layered haircut it still feels bulky on my right side (and it's just short in lenghth in general). It took more than 3 hours for my stylist to do everything too... We literally had to rush in the end because I had class, to which I was marked Tardy. I don't think I'll be going there again.

came to be blonde. left with chunks of hair at the crown of my head missing ( i have curly fluffy hair so it was easily hidden ) i wasn’t informed, paid for the full service, and tipped graciously. thanks kim. granted this was a few years ago but i’m still regrowing that spot :)

I don’t write many reviews, but I’ve spent hours and tears trying to get my hair back to normal after my visit, I feel like it’ll be closure for me. I went in to get my blonde money piece touched up, it turned white, and then I left with this drab brassy color instead of blonde. After going to another salon, they were unable to fix it, and now I have dark brown hair to cover it all up. It’s depressing to go in for one thing and then days later, have it be a completely different color you dislike. My stylist at Empire was very nice, but also seemed to insinuate it was my fault for not showing a picture of what I wanted. I’ve never had an experience like this. My visit before this was fine so I am rating 2 stars. Attaching before and after shots.

I have been going to Brittney since I moved to Memphis in 2020 and she is the best. Always gives me exactly what I ask for! Today we decided to bleach my hair and make it a silvery blonde and it exceeded my expectations! Thanks so much. Will be recommending others to go here.

Brittany did an amazing job on my cut! She took her time to make sure my long straight hair had some real body to it and didn’t have to cut off as much as I thought I needed. She even gave me some curls at the end too! Love it! Thank you!

I’ve been to see Brittney a couple of times and she ALWAYS does a perfect job on my hair! I’m very protective of my hair and anxious about getting it cut, but she listens and is great at communicating. I wanted to do something different on my most recent visit and she was so incredibly encouraging and helped me figure out what to do and bring my ideas to life. 10/10 would recommend scheduling an appointment with Brittney!!

Brittney was my stylist and she was absolutely phenomenal! She really took the time to discuss what we wanted to do with my hair and what we both thought would look best. The establishment is so clean and the staff is really good on following the protocol with the pandemic going around. Definitely highly recommend this business! 10/10

Chelsea is amazing-- I've been going to her for years after a recommendation and have never walked away less than thrilled with my hair. Recently went for a long overdue post-quarantine haircut and have received so many compliments on it, mostly from random strangers! So pleased!

I love my haircut!!! Brittney was my stylist and from the start she was corresponding with me-making sure I knew where to go. I had the best time with her. I got way more out of the experience then a haircut. We were laughing and having fun. She is incredibly genuine and real. She made me feel comfortable and at ease with her and she knows her stuff. I was in a hair blah and I walked out feeling great. I had so much happiness- my hair looks so good. I’m so excited to show it off. Her beautiful energy with her magical scissors and wizardry hands did that. She’s something else. I have been shopping around for a stylist for awhile and I found her. I’m so excited to go back and see what I’ll look like next. I am so happy I got to experience Brittney!! Go get your haircut from her! She will probably change your life.
