I got my bangs cut and also it was the first time to visit any salon in Boston or even Brookline after a Google search. Nao was great with suggesting style, and also very professional by explaining how she designed the cut after the service. After all, I love my bangs cut! Sweet salon in a pretty neighborhood 😊 Recommend visiting a cafe nearby before or after getting hair styled! I can get quite picky with hair, and I am happy with my hair ✨

Nao is hands down the best hairstylist in Boston. Honestly, I don’t trust anyone else with my hair. Boston doesn’t have many amazing Asian salons so I’m glad we have en Salon. I barely have to tell her anything, just how many inches to cut, and she just knows exactly what to do. I’ve been going to her for years and she’s cut my hair before many major life events, including wedding. She’s the best!

I had a great experience with Caitlyn who did blonde highlights for me. The color and blending were just what I wanted (which can be difficult with naturally black hair), she was very friendly and great at communicating throughout the process, and the salon itself is nicely decorated with plenty of lights and plants!

Highly recommend En Salon! I sent a photo generally sharing how I wanted an ashy pink balayage, and my stylist, Nao, delivered so well! She was so patient and kind and was lovely to chat with while also making sure I was comfortable and satisfied throughout the entire process. I honestly think the prices are pretty reasonable considering the quality products they’re using. They know how to bleach and work on Asian hair well! @xoxojudie

Always a pleasurable and enjoyable experience. Nao is my go-to stylist and understands what I want even when I have a hard time explaining it. She takes the time to offer her own recommendations, and the results are always consistent. The expansion of the salon has made the atmosphere even more inviting. Highly recommend.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! My hair is difficult to manage, and each time I get it colored or bleached, it turns into a color correction session. I have done color correction many times, and it is a challenging and time-consuming task to tone the entire hair evenly. Thanks to Kiyomi, I've been having the best hair for months! This is my second visit to En Salon, and ever since my first visit, I have been confident that I will get the best result with this team. Moreover, Kayoko ensures that the stylists and the clients communicate effectively to get a clear picture of the desired style, which is the perfect example of professionalism👏 I will never go anywhere else to get my hair done. Best ever! I love this salon, everyone is so kind and the hospitality is unmatched! I always feel comfortable and relaxed here. They do an amazing job on my hair every time. I love my Japanese hair straightening treatment I got done here. My hair is so smooth and only requires a quick blow dry to look nice in the morning. Makes life so much easier! <3

I got a haircut from Caitlin, the junior stylist. Now, usually I don't get haircuts from non-Asian stylists because short Asian hair tends to flair out rather than fall flat, and every single non-Asian hair salons I have been to, did not know how to work around this. However, I saw that this place is run by three other Japanese stylists, which gave me hope that the junior stylist would be well-trained in cutting Asian hair. Disappointingly, she did not know how to cut Asian hair. Most of the customers seem to be women, which may be the reason why she was unsure how to cut my hair. I still gave three starts for the stylist being attentive and courteous, the great scalp massage, and overall great customer service. I felt they cared about the service they were providing. It is just unfortunate that Caitlin did not have enough experience with male Asian hair. Perhaps her skills will improve as time passes but I am not willing to see for myself at my own expense.

The place was extremely tidy. Caitlyn, the junior hairstylist, was wonderful and welcoming, she gave me a very excellent haircut (which I am very satisfied with). Nao and Kiyomi did an amazing job with my hair color. I am very satisfied and I would highly recommend this place!

Got my thick, naturally curly hair cut by Caitlyn and it was the best cut I’ve ever had, the whole experience was perfect. She was really kind and gentle, did a super thorough consultation and really made sure we agreed on exactly what she was going to do, then she washed my hair and gave me the most relaxing scalp massage!! The cut itself is perfect, it is EXACTLY what I asked for and my hair looks so much thicker and healthier while still having so much movement. And she gave me a great blowout as well, got my unruly hair super smooth while being really gentle!

I called on a whim and was very fortunate to get in with Caitlyn, their junior stylist, as there was a cancellation. Caitlyn was welcoming and friendly. She made sure to discuss exactly what I wanted and repeated it back to me so it was clear. She washed my hair and did a lovely scalp / head massage. The cut was perfect and she blew it out in a way that I really liked. At the end she went over what we had done, wanting to ensure I was happy with it. The owner (also super nice) checked her work and confirmed it was a great job. I thought it was a wonderful job with a great price ($50). Will be returning!

I had a haircut with Kiyomi. At first, I made an appointment for a digital perm; however, Kiyomi suggested that it would be more efficient and better not to do the perm after she washed my hair. She gave me a detailed and careful haircut. I found out I wanted my hair to be a little lighter, so I scheduled an appointment with Kiyomi a week later. She was so kind and fixed my hair very thoroughly. I would definitely come back next time!

I had my hair permed by Nao and Kiyomi. They know how to work with your hair types and textures. So happy and satisfied with my new hair perm! Everyone here is so amazing. The salon is so clean. The staffs got skills and their work ethics is superb! Definitely will come back for their Japanese digital perm. The whole process took 3.5hrs but so worth it!

I had the best experience at this hair salon. Went in for a consultation about a perm, didn’t get it in the end because the owner was super honest and straightforward about the damage already done to my hair and how it wouldn’t be the best idea. I winded up getting a haircut because they had an opening. The best haircut I have ever gotten! I have super thick and long hair and usually it’s a pain for most hairdressers to cut properly but this wasn’t an issue at all! I 100% recommend coming here and getting a haircut. They took such good care of my hair, they were super friendly and communicative. You won’t regret coming here! I definitely will be coming here again!

I’ve been coming here for years now. Nao is an amazing stylist and is always meticulous with her work. She also gives THE best scalp massage! (I’d honestly just go back for that alone haha) Everyone here is very nice and I always see people leave the salon looking fabulous.

Came here for the first time and had a wonderful haircut by Kiyomi, who even showed me how to style it afterwards! I’ve been looking for a hair salon in the area that specializes in Asian hair, and I found the prices here to be fair and enjoyed the experience. Will definitely be coming back!

I have been trying to find a good Asian salon in Boston for a while, and I think I might have found the right place! I had a haircut from Kiyomi San, she’s very attentive and patient. Although she doesn’t speak too much English just yet, she made sure to check in with me frequently. I also enjoyed practicing my broken Japanese with her :p. Will sure come back again!

My favorite salon in Boston! I’ve tried many of the Japanese salons here but this one is definitely the best. I always see Nao and trust her 100% with my hair. By now I’ve gotten several hair cuts/bangs trim, hair treatment, and hair coloring from her. She’s always very honest about the best decision to make to preserve the health of my hair, but also 100% respects my desired haircut and what I ask for! I also always look forward to coming here because the scalp massage during the hair washing portion feels soooo good. The salon itself is small but very well decorated and tidy. You will feel very calm and pampered here for sure!
