This salon is amazing. For 10 years I’ve only let Steffon work on my hair. I like a specific shade of light blonde highlights and he’s the only hairstylist I know that’s ever done it perfectly in SF. His haircuts and color always make me feel beautiful and his creativity for styles that really make you look your best are spot on. I get so many compliments and have sent them to Episodes and they’ve also become fans. Coming from NYC years ago I tried so many stylist. It wasn’t until I found Steffon, who was able to create the look I wanted. Christy is also amazing, not just with hair but her eyelash extensions and pain free waxing is next level. I always leave feeling well taken care of and with exactly the look I want. If you’re looking for kind people with next level skills that also has reasonable prices- this is the salon for you.

I honestly never write negative reviews but I had to give future clients a fair warning. I was promised by the main hairdresser (Steffon) of this establishment something that was unfortunately ignored. I enjoy being a blonde and I wanted a minor change but I came out to be completely the opposite (dark color which I told him I didn’t want that since the beginning) He also had the nerves to charge me $100 more and still ask to take a picture of the before and after when I was obviously very upset with the result. I spend $375 for something I obviously dislike and now I need to spend more money to fix what he did to my hair. I am very disappointed I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone. If you want to go to a hair salon in which your opinion is completely ignored this is your place!

My hair was quite damaged because the continuous coloring to cover the gray. Steffon came to rescue. I couldn't believe my normal hair was back after he did some treatments. The corn husk hair was gone and the shinny straight healthy looking hair is with me now. I highly recommend this place, not just to fix the damaged hair but also for any kind of hair services. I had my hair cut there and the result was amazing. I liked the shaggy and layers he did on my long hair. He is very meticulous and spends a lot of time to take care of my hair. He is the best!

Bad product quality. Don’t get your hair treated here. I got keratin treatment done for $240 and right after the first wash, my hair is back to normal - which was supposed to last 4-5 months. Adding a photo so that you can see how my hair is usually after a keratin treatment vs. how it was with episode. I told Stefan about it and he said was like you don’t know how it’s supposed to look and you need to come to the salon again - it’s 30 min away and I asked him to look at the picture and tell me what options do we have and he just said - come to the shop - and hung up. He will probably try to sell something else if I go and dupe me into paying for something else and blame my hair rather than accepting his low quality product or service.

Christy did a really fabulous job! She was a wizard at washing my hair, it felt incredible like I was at the spa. The cut was amazing. Would Recommend!! Looks just like reference photo.

I booked an appointment with Stephan and told him I had a Groupon. No mention of an upcharge for "long hair". I put that in quotes because my hair barely passes my shoulders. But I should back up. I tried to reschedule, but he talked me into keeping my appointment on that day, but we agreed I could come an hour later at 4:00. I received a call that he was running 15 mins late, no biggie. When I walked into the salon he was in the middle of curling a child's hair. I think he got to me at 4:40. By then I was really mad. It just got worse from there. I wanted layers, he said my hair was too fine. When he was drying my hair he kept burning my ears and neck. Then came the upcharge for my supposed long hair. I'm really over service people of all kinds not having respect for my time. It's all about making money and not about being respectful of others.

I had a pretty bad experience at this place. I went in for a blow dry and my hair looked just bad after they were done. I had read the bad reviews and thought how could someone mess up a blow dry, bad idea to try this place.

I’ve been seeing Steffon for years, he’s brilliant. I have short hair but he always makes it unique.Christie does my eye lash extensions and waxing. She’s calm, painless and quick. I’ve moved out of the neighborhood and still go back even if it takes an hour commute. This is a special place. Steffon is truly a partner in making one feel their best self.

Loved the haircut and styling! I liked the products they used, it removed all the build-up on my scalp and feels much lighter! However, they could have a been a bit gentler while styling. My hair is already fine, brittle and prone to shedding and I felt they pulled on it harder than they had to.

Onlei was the BEST hairdresser ever!! She managed to give me exactly what I asked for and spent time in making the cut perfect!! I will definitely return!! Located on Church Street/ Clipper st in Noe Valley

Steffano will charge you more than $72 for a keratin treatment (that’s the Groupon price but he would make you pay over $200). All he wants is to charge more than what you pay on Groupon and he insists on why you should pay more. Don’t go there unless you want to pay over $200.

This is a predatory business. I went for a haircut that was listed for 90$ When I arrived instead of just doing the haircut, the hairdresser tried pushing a 400$ keratin treatment. After I refused he continued to heckle me and obviously doesn’t understand what the word “no” means. Clearly frustrated, he then informed me that he would be charging me 15$ because my hair was “too long and too thick”. He also insisted on a mandatory 20% tip, which I would have been happy to pay if he deserved even a cent of my money. Don’t go here. Hair looks good though. If the guy had any ounce of respect he might have a good business

This was a bad experience from beginning to end, and now I have to wait for this terrible haircut to grow out. Others have noted some of the issues I had, like extra fees and stuff. As far as the haircut goes.. Anie said she understood what I want and then proceeded to do .. something else.. in a totally rushed and sloppy manner, and mentioning money in various ways throughout. Such a bummer.

i would give less than 1 star if i could. i went for keratin treatment, the service was good but the hair dresser (Steffon) charged me for more than we had agreed on when i walked in. initially i had a $72 groupon coupon. he suggested to upgrade to $230 for a better solution and wrote this number on a piece of paper for me. i made some jokes that i am a student and i can’t pay that much and i was bargaining on $200. it was so clear that i am thinking that the $230 is the final cost. then after he started putting the solution on my hair, he said “some people don’t understand that an upgrade means in addition to the $72”. i said you should have told me in the beginning, he laughed and said “yes some people don’t understand”. after he was done, i said you did not explain how much you were charging me and i will only pay for the $230. he said “you are the only one who doesn’t understand what an upgrade is” and then LOCKED THE DOOR ON ME!! i immediate called the police. it took over an hour and the police did not show up so i ended up paying what he demanded just to get out of there and not waste more time. while i was waiting for the police he kept threatening that he will put me in jail and will charge me for the customer that left because he was locking the door!! i never even tried to leave without paying, i was just negotiating with him and wanted him to admit that he did not explain the price to me. so i don’t under why he locked the door!!

DO NOT GO HERE FOR LASHES. Absolutely the worst eyelash lift I've ever had. It took 2 hours, I was in serious pain during the beginning application while he was applying the base product. And my eyelashes are crisscrossed all over the place and sticking straight up and even down in some places. The lashes at the end of my eye he literally permed them downwards. There is glue product all around my eyes and you all know who have done this before that you can't get your lashes wet for 24hrs, so i cant even wash my face. I'm beyond so irritated, $100 to look like a fricken joke. I should have waited for my regular lady to have been available. I wish I could attach photos to this review. I'll post them to the location.

I received a keratin treatment from Stefan and all I have to say it WOW! Living in San Francisco my hair is always so frizzy. I use hot tools on it everyday. Now I just get out of the shower and my hair is SMOOTH! Game changer! I had a great experience at the salon, I was even offered a glass of wine. Thanks a million! I will be back!

Loved their service. Had to wait for five minutes but that’s ok. The people over there are very humble and welcoming. Specially onione who did take care of my mother. Love the way they treated us. Very friendly and wherever we asked she did with her experience.

Onlei was such a great hair stylist! She spent so long cutting and styling my hair over 2 appointments and the result was spectacular 😄 I've never colored my hair before, and Onlei explained the whole process and took so much care to make sure the job was well done. She even stayed late afterhours to make sure my color was right. I'd definitely come back!

The Lash technician told me to have my EYES OPEN during the procedure. It hurt so bad my eyes were shedding tears rapidly. I eventually said you know I just absolutely can’t have my eyes open. He repeatedly blamed the pain on the lights but the pain only happened when he tried to come near my open eye with the lash. I just learned clients are 100% supposed to have their eyes closed because having them open can cause chemical burns to the eyes. It can also cause infections and create an allergy to the glue due to antibodies trying to fight off the chemicals. DO NOT GO HERE! The lashes also immediately fell out like that night. Ridiculous.

Used a Groupon to get a haircut, wash and blow dry for both myself and my husband. Great service, no wait time, no complaints about the haircut and would definitely visit again. Likely for a trim or a maintenance cut, not so sure about a style cut though.
