I always had a good experience when I come here. But yesterday 12/14/24 took the cake. Erlina had a raffle and I won $100 cash then they had a dance contest and I won $50. That was nice and fun. Then the icing on the cake my color came out phenomenal I will add pictures later but highly recommend Erlinas Beauty Salon😍😍🔥

I honestly wish I could give them less stars than one. I worked very hard training my natural hair and only straightened it two to three times in the last three years with no issue with my curls reverting back to its natural state. I waited two months to write the review because I wanted to assure that I did everything possible to get my curl pattern back. However, I went to this salon at the beginning of November, it is January, and my hair has been damaged completely. I have washed it numerous times, I've done mask, avoided all heat and my curl pattern is completely destroyed. I'm not sure if they use relaxer or keratin shampoo that causes it not to revert however it completely is responding like relaxer. I'm so disgusted. Nothing is worse than someone damaging something that you worked hard for in an instant.

I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. They did my hair for my wedding. They have been doing my hair for almost 9 years, every single time I walk in, I walk out loving my hair.

I wish I could give 0 stars!!!!! They completely destroyed my hair. IM ALMOST POSITIVE THEY PUT RELAXER IN THEIR SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER BECAUSE IT HAS A WEIRD SMELL. my curls are gone & chunks of my hair came out when I washed it now my hair is EXTREMELY THIN! i have to do a big chop and ive been natural for over 5 YEARS!! terrible place I DONT RECOMMEND

My daughter went there to get her hair dyed. They left the color on too long. As a result around the front, sides and back of her hair is damaged. She has to start her hair growth process all over again of them. They have entirely too much going on in that salon. Inconsistent of hair stylists every other week there’s a new hair stylist. As a person that is use to go to Dominicans they need to pay more attention rather than trying to make a lot of money. I will not be returning to that salon again as a result of the condition of my daughter’s hair. From a disappointed customer !!!

I am shocked! They put chemical straightener in the shampoo, and the natural curls of my child’s head are gone. I was so confused why her hair was breaking off and falling out. When she got it wet while playing at a birthday party, I was in awe as it did not shrink. I confronted them about this, and they told me they’d never use chemical straightener in their shampoo because it would cost them money to do so. Lies. There is no way a wash and condition should straighten hair. They also told me that it happens from getting it blown out. They’ve blown it out exactly three times! If you have natural hair and want to keep it, do not let them shampoo or condition your hair. It is one thing to try to talk someone into using chemicals. It is another thing entirely to do this behind someone’s back without even asking. Unbelievable, especially with scientific evidence that chemical straighteners cause cancer. They told me that I’m not welcome back unless I wash my child’s hair myself since I don’t believe them. Ladies, trust me. There is no way shampoo should eradicate your hair’s natural texture!

I too am a victim of my natural curls being destroyed by these people. I went back in April 2024. I kept smelling a “chemical” smell when I left the salon. My hair stayed straight way longer than it normally did after a blowout. When I finally washed my hair, the chemical smell was stronger and there areas of my hair that are completely straight. As my new growth is coming in, I can see the difference in the parts of my hair that were chemically processed and my true curl pattern. My hair is breaking and is the thinnest it’s been in all my life. No exaggeration. At no point did anyone tell me they were putting chemicals in my hair. I’ve been natural for more than 10 years and to have to start all over again is disgraceful. I too feel hurt and deceived. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS SALON IF YOU VALUE YOUR NATURAL HAIR!

My hair is very thick and wavy. I walked in and Maritza did highlights and a blowout. I think it looks great. I'm quite pleased. Will update if I notice anything troubling.

So I normally go to erlinas in between my hair styles to get a good wash, but something was different about the last visit. I have been natural since 2012 and I have course hair (had). When I washed my hair at home i noticed my curl pattern had changed I really didn’t think anything of it so I just did a two strain twist on my hair. But after two weeks of the exact same thing happening, I knew that they use a product that was not for natural hair when I went to my stylist to install my weave, she said she noticed that my hair had looked permed And that my hair didn’t have any curl pattern. My hair has not had a perm since 2012 and now I have to wait until all of the relaxer has grown out of my head. I am overly disappointed in this place and I really hope that they take that relaxer out of their products.

don’t go here naturals. they will ruin your natural hair. would give negative stars. update: 1 yr later. erlinas may have heat damaged my hair but I was able to repair the bonds and I will say since then my hair has been thriving.

Good service once you get in but hours and website never align so sometimes it’s a big inconvenience and most of the time I’m disappointed because they are closed when online says they are open many hours afterwards.

I've been going to Erlinas for years literally. Each time she's moved locations I've gone. Customer service is always impeccable. I'm super picky but my girl Letty is amazing🥰🥰. If you are a new customer please make sure there's a clear understanding of what service you want, the cost and steps of that service. If you feel to much heat is being used say something, they will adjust.

A Dominican blow out is usually $35 dollars everywhere. these people will talk smack about you even if you don’t tip them. They add relaxer to the shampoo they have damaged my hair

If I could give -0 stars, I would. There is a stylist by the name of Ray Monique there that destroyed my thick, long, natural hair. My regular stylist said she put relaxer in the conditioner without my knowledge or consent and over processed it, and then over the course of next few days, I noticed my hair was unbothered by humidity and falling out. Crooked conartist. Please protect your hair.

My hair is totally heat damage all my hair came out n back of my head also left side of my hair damaged so much it doesn’t match the right side anymore when I came in there hair was long I’ve been natural 10 yrs can’t even get braids right now without being charge extra how short my back of hair is !! Went nd let owner know Sunday Feb 24 2024 very smart n rude n acted like she couldn’t speak English having a customer translate when she can talked to me plenty of time n English giving me the run around Very unprofessional no I’m not going back this is unacceptable!!!!
