I aways leave happy after a haircut with Takeo, whom I know from Room Salon. This is my second time at Eshk, I love everything about it, the interesting interior, the uplifting aromatherapeutic atmosphere and products. Everyone is friendly, and all around you people are getting great hairstyles. Their pricing is very well considered, which adds to the artistic, unpretentious vibe of this place. Thank you!

I trust Takeo completely with my hair. He's been cutting it for years and always makes the best decisions for my hair type and style. Plus, his own hair products are amazing! My husband is also a happy client at ESHK – everyone there is so friendly.

Best haircut I’ve had since 2019. I am almost always disappointed by my haircuts, but Sayu was truly fantastic and nailed the layers and face framing I requested. She took the photo I showed her and explained what would/would not work for my hair and helped tailor what I wanted to my hair type and laziness for styling. Super sweet person, great At her job, and set my anxiety at ease by walking me through her process. Thank you Sayu!

My second time getting a cut from Sayu — she’s the best! I have lots of curly hair and have really liked the cuts she’s done; they’ve given my curls volume with less weight, and have grown out really well. I’ve also had a cut from Takeo which was great, his availability is more limited. I’ve been in NY 14 years and this is probably my fav salon. Highly recommend!

This was my first cut with Kaori and she exceeded all expectations (mostly gained from 5 star reviews). I have thick, wavy hair and have found it difficult to find someone that works well with hair that has pattern and texture to it. Kaori is clearly seasoned and knew exactly what to do while also being gentle in her approach, making sure the style I had in mind was carefully considered as well as the longevity of the cut. She gave me the most fabulous shampoo that included an incredible scalp message. I felt very calm and relaxed afterwards. I am already planning my next visit for a reiki/ message in between this cut. What a beautiful and relaxing salon experience. Looking forward to the next time!

I’ve been going to Kaori for over 10 years. I always get compliments on my haircut. I’m a Manhattan gal who never cared to venture out to the other boroughs, but Kaori’s new salon is worth it. It’s in a great neighborhood and it’s easy to get to from the upper east side. The decor and services are top notch gorgeous.

Kaori is the best! First impressions, she was very accommodating and pleasure to talk to. She took her time understanding not only the type of cut I was looking for but also the things I didn't like. She provided some examples using pictures to really dial in what I wanted. Her thoroughness gained her my trust and she didn't disappoint. Throughout the cut she was transparent about what she was doing and the look we agreed on. She was very skillful in removing the weight from my hair without removing volume, all the while cracking jokes and chatting. I can't recommend her enough and I'll for sure be back.

This is the best haircut I’ve had in NYC. I communicated what I was thinking and Reina offered her expertise (asking how I usually style my hair, which products I use, cutting to compliment my face shape), which resulted in the perfect haircut. She also spent time with me showing me how to style my hair. Really lovely!

Wow, beyond my expectations! Sarah was friendly, so knowledgeable and talented. I have very fine hair and was concerned about it being too flat and dated. Sarah listened to my concerns and explained my options. She cut my hair exactly what I wanted. She was able to give my hair volume with a few techniques she showed me. I was so excited to walk out of a salon where I didn’t have to go home to restyle my hair!

I had an 11/10 balayage and cut by Mariah. This was my first time going to this salon so I was nervous to do a full blonde transformation as I have curly hair, and it’s previously dyed so I was worried about damage — Mariah gave me exactly what I wanted, but better!! I’ve never been happier with my hair. The salon was beautiful and had great vibes. I’ll be back!

I rarely write reviews but my experience with Sarah was so great, I had to do my duties since I know how important reviews are to a business. My hair went through a lot from different salons and I like to bleach/color quite often, so the history is all there. I went to get my hair done that over bleached my roots almost a year ago and that patch still remained. A lot of hair stylists gave up or dismissed the way it look and in turn I also kind of accepted my fate and mistake. But today, Sarah NEVER gave up and gave me solutions instead. She was so patient and thorough throughout the entire process (bleach, tone, dye, cut). She was extremely professional and made me feel safe throughout the process. After doing my hair for so long, my anxiety spikes when the hair dresser (esp. the assistants) leave in the chair for a unforeseen amount of time. I absolutely loved my experience here and would continue to work with Sarah at ESHK. TLDR: hair was fked up from diff salons, Sarah saved the day + my confidence

Mariah Nichols is the best colorist! She bleached my black hair in one sitting and (I don’t even understand how this happened) my hair was HEALTHIER after. She is truly a master and an artist.

Nika is THAT girl. I’ve gone to her for years for all my hair needs..whether it’s going blonde, getting a cut, or putting my faith in her to create a color that’ll make me feel brand new. I first came across her work after having a bad experience with my last stylist and she was a God send. She’s personable and honest and matches whatever vibe you’re on.

Nika is by far the most amazing stylist I have had the pleasure of knowing. I first got my hair done by her back in February of 2022 and she has been my go-to for anything hair related since then. She really takes the time to understand what you want and how you can get there. My hair has never looked and felt healthier. Every time she worked on my hair, I received many compliments and I even got the chance to refer some people to her because of how impressed they were. I wish I had more photos to post since she did an incredible job every time!

Calming and sophisticated Japanese salon with expert designers! I went based on recommendations from friends and my experience was synonymous with their descriptions. My cut is perfectly styled for my face and lifestyle. Looking forward to my next visit :)

Sarah was incredibly kind and clear throughout my entire experience! At each step of the haircut, she made sure to check if it was okay to thin my hair and explained what she was doing, such as adding texture for the layered cut. I really appreciate her assistance with cutting my hair for donation and her recommendation on how to style my bangs. Thank you again for such a wonderful haircut experience! :)

Sayu is wonderful!!! She was so sweet and helped guide me to achieving a style that fit my hair type when I was feeling indecisive. I loved that every time she was about to trim a new section of my hair, she would tell me what she wanted to do and ask if it’s ok with me. I felt I was in great hands, I would love to come back and see Sayu again! :)
