I am never one to complain but this was the worst massage I have ever gotten. The masseuse was playing music through YouTube and every so often loud ads would pop up. The pressure just was not what I needed or asked for. I also paid for a Hot Stone package and did not receive it. Oil was also placed all over my face and in my hair and it was just not a relaxing experience. Once I tried to speak with the front desk they were not really helpful and just told me they could add hot stones to my next appointment but I will definitely not be visiting again.

Couldn’t be more unhappy with a massage experience. It’s a crazy thing when you leave more stressed than when you walked in. Inexperienced therapists that do nothing more than rub a ton of lotion into your skin, applying little to no pressure. Pillows were provided to my fiancée with no pillow cases and they were covered in body oil stains and were disgusting. We were started almost 10 minutes late when we showed up 15 minutes early, and were told we were done 10 minutes early so a 60 minute massage was actually 40 minutes. But it wasn’t till it was time to leave that I actually became infuriated enough to leave this review. I was ready to let everything else go until I was confronted by the horrendous, passive aggressive front desk employee. Even though my fiancée is pregnant and CLEARLY showing and clearly filled out her intake form specifying that she was which we turned in long before the massage started, the front desk attendant made it a big deal and guilt tripped us for not mentioning it when booking online. Then continued by telling us it is an additional $35 for a prenatal massage after the fact even though my fiancée was never given a prenatal massage…but instead was given a sad excuse for a Swedish massage. We were lectured and made to feel bad that we put them in a compromised position for liability reasons, even though she was sure to let us know that the therapist was prenatal certified. I am very easy going and it takes A LOT for me to get so upset to leave a bad review, but nothing about this place was professional or remotely worth the money. 10 out of 10 would not recommend!

I just had a "deep tissue" massage. I have been getting massages monthly for over 10 years. My regular person got in a car wreck. So I thought I would try something close by till she is feeling better. I would describe the "massage" as a high-speed application of lotion. Maybe 5 minutes of decent pressure. She was very jerky with movement to my arms/legs. Didn't go back till about 12:05 paid at 12:57 so about 40 minutes of no pressure deep tissue. Phone used for music so I heard a mc Donald's commercial and every time she got a notification music stopped. Honestly I should dispute the charges. I heard her put the towl back into the heater and then reuse them.

I had just received an email that the spa was offering a free waxing this week only, and I also had a birthday discount from being in their club. My facial with Riley was amazing! My skin is glowing from the Dermalogica products. Alex gave the best massage and his soft hands nearly put me to sleep. I love it here!

Came here with my wife on a Groupon deal. She got a good massage, however. My massuse was horrible. No pressure on my body, very soft, felt like my niece was just tapping my back. I asked for a little more pressure but none was given. My wife that weighs 135 pounds gives a more harder massage. I expected to have some pressure but did not feel a thing. On top of that, the patterns were the same when massaging my back, it felt like I was being massaged by a person that is just doing this for the hell of it to pay their bills. Worse experience ever. This place is not recommended. This was supposed to be a relaxing massage, but there’s nothing relaxing about a massage that is just touching me. If I wanted someone to just touch me I have my wife for that. Waste of money, just made me stress more. Now I have to drive around Tampa to find another massage place to make my day right. This felt like I was just being touched and seasoned to be cooked as a rotisserie human. No pressure, NOTHING WAS RELAXING ABOUT THIS

I had an incredible 90-minute Swedish massage with Laura yesterday. She was attentive and truly listened to my needs, focusing on the areas I requested. The music was perfectly adjusted to my preference, creating a relaxing atmosphere. Given the lower prices at this establishment, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the service. I highly recommend Laura and this place for anyone seeking a rejuvenating experience!

I had such an amazing birthday experience at Essentials! My husband purchased the 2 services for $110, and it was worth every dollar! My massage therapist Ray, gave an excellent relaxing massage. The music and ambiance was perfect. I love how they provided a comfy robe and slippers for moving to the next service. My aesthetician Riley was also amazing! The facial was very relaxing and the scents were amazing. I will definitely be coming back!

If I could give zero 0 stars I would. I never had any issues with other Essential locations. BUT this location here lost all the good employees who could actually do the job! The receptionist Cathy is a liar she refuses to add you to your specialist of choice and lies about their availability to push you on to their new members who aren’t properly trained to do the services offered correctly. Cathy and Candy fail to realize the customer has a right of first choice and both fail to realize relationships are built during services. Do you all fail to realize the customer is the one paying for the services??The owner Candy doesn’t care about how sanitary the backroom is for paying customers and doesn’t wash the towels throughly. Don’t use the towels at this establishment see the other review mentioning the towels and cleanness of this place! Will never in my life visit this location again the owner doesn’t care to be properly sanitize the workplace why should customers visit here?? 0 stars!

My wife and I went for a couples massage and had the pleasure of having Kevin and Idris as our massage therapist and they went above and beyond to make sure we had the best massage experience. We accidentally booked a single massage by mistake and they were able to accommodate it and get us in quickly. I would definitely come back here and appreciate the above and beyond customer service

They charged an extra $35 for a prenatal massage for my wife which was fine. The receptionist said they needed someone who was certified. But they didn’t do anything different. All they did was give her a pregnancy pillow and do the exact same thing all massage places do. We paid for an hour and I paid extra for my wife to get an additional scalp massage. Was supposed to be 15 minutes extra for her. Our appointment was at 12pm, didn’t start till 12:10pm and ended at 12:51pm for BOTH of us. Waste of our time and money. Should be advertised as a 40 minute massage that would definitely not be worth the price.

I hate to have to leave a review like this. But before even coming here I had read the reviews and it seemed like it would be a great spot. But boyyyyyy was I wrong. I can honestly say this was one of the worst massages I’ve ever had. The person massaging me went so fast and wasn’t even massaging me just felt like I was being rubbed on. It was super rushed the masseuse probably spent about a minute on each of my legs. Kept pressing on my bone thinking it was a knot and I really thought I was gonna have to just say stop. I’m honestly so disappointed about this. I was truly looking forward to a relaxing deep tissue massage and left pissed off instead and my back still hurting. The Asian foot spa is 1000 times better I’ll never come back.

Paid $195 for 2 massages 1 for me one for my husband. I upgraded to deep tissue for my husband and both of our massages consisted of just smothering lotion all over our body’s. I received maybe 5 minutes of decent pressure. My therapist walked over to get more lotion every 2 minutes! I was a therapist for years. This was the worst massage I’ve had and I usually don’t complain. Relaxation massage DOES NOT mean you don’t put any pressure. And I should know where why therapist hands are at all times. He also walked out for about 3 minutes during my massage. When I got up to get dressed I noticed the towels that were used on my body that were supposed to be white were gross looking. I definitely would not return here. The receptionist was nice and they were able to get me in quick but I can see why.

My massage therapist was really good. Listened to my areas of concern & had water waiting for me when I came out of the room. Love this place! Especially love their deals that they run. My parent's come here too. ❤️
