NOW THE OWNER WILL NO LONGER RESPOND TO MESSAGES!!! She is a scam artists out for money!!!!! VERY VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! And will accuse you of being poor!!!🤣🤣🤣 After much thought And debate, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT!! I came in with half a head of hair, I have an undercut that goes above my ears, I was charged $425 for a cut and color. I would have gladly paid this back when I had a full head of hair. I scheduled my appointment two days before and still had to wait over an hour before she began my hair. We spent more time talking about her having a date with the husband of a deceased client than anything else. I will never go there again.

Annabel did an amazing job on my hair. She was very sweet and welcoming also very fast plus gave me a reasonable price. I would totally come back to see her soon to do it again! Thank you for making my hair beautiful again!

Anabel always does a fantastic job when I get a haircut with her. This time I also opted for a “chocolate cake" hair color. I absolutely love this deep, vibrant color with balayage highlights! It’s a beautiful alternative for brunettes! Thank you Anabel!

I am trying to find a hairstylist to use on a regular basis. This is not the place to go. The whole point of offering Groupon to first time customers is to turn them into repeat customers. I called to request an appointment and was offered one for midweek. I said that I really needed it for Saturday. They don't give Groupon services on Saturdays. The one day most people are available to take care of things like this and they don't do it. I have read a lot of these reviews and they always refer to the "fine print" on Groupon because supposedly that tells all. Well it doesn't. And most of what they are saying is in the fine print isn't there. I have uploaded a snippet of the fine print from the Groupon website with this review. They are liars. They also like to respond to negative reviews by insulting people and insinuating that they can't afford their services. Well let me just tell you, I CAN afford their services at full price many times over and I would NOT go here. The people running this establishment are trash as far as customer service is concerned. It is very evident in their response to negative criticism and the way they run their Groupon promotions. EDIT In response to their response to my review above. I wasn't asking for a last minute booking. I was asking for a Saturday appointment. I even said on the phone that it would be fine if it was in a few weeks. You said you don't make Groupon appointments on Saturdays. Period. That is what was said. Stop trying to make yourselves look better and at least be honest.

The problem was that when I called I never discussed pricing at all. I only ask for an appointment and was told that it was a Holiday and your not open. Why?? Answer the phone to only hang up on a potential customer that's never been there? Affordability was not a concern. I was trying to find a new hair stylist because I just moved to the area, and this was the first place I called.

SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!!! I'd give zero stars if I could!! Tried to use a $60 groupon deal for highlights and she wanted $350! Never once mentioned the increase in price once, not to mention my hair was a rat's nest and fried by the end.

BUYER BEWARE OF GROUPON SCAM. I purchased a Groupon for a cut, style, partial highlight and blow dry for $49. Annabel told me over the phone it would be extra for longer hair. When I went in, she said it would be $15 extra for the extra length. Then I confirmed by repeating it that it would be $15. So $49 for the Groupon plus $15. She then charged me $50 for the extra length at the end! She is charging the same value of the Groupon just to cut extra extra. Update: 07/19/18 Annabel (the owner) just called me back and insisted she was right and hung up, never have I been harassed before!

Very rude and terrible customer service. I purchased a Groupon and Annabel told my wife it would be a lot of for extra length .I wasted a whole day off coming there and she said she will not my hair unless I pay a lot of money extra!. She is scam artist. Be aware. Very unprofessional and rude.

Very rude and terrible customer service. My wife purchased a Groupon and Annabel told my wife it would be $15 for extra length and then charged us $50 instead. She called my wife back to fight with her about it, claimed it was in the fine print but Groupon says nothing about that.

I love getting my highlights done at EHB! I first walked in with orange-ish colored highlights years ago. I’d been to a few different salons across DFW that just couldn’t get my highlights right. Ana got my hair EXACTLY how I wanted it and has been maintaining my hair since! 😊 she’s also very friendly and professional. She is definitely an expert when it comes to hair color and highlighting!! I’d recommend anyone who wants beautiful color or highlights to see her. You won’t be disappointed.

The absolute best highlights I have ever had. The ladies there are so nice. I will never go to anyone else again. They do usually have a Groupon you can get for your first visit.

I had a $59.00 Groupon deal for the full highlights, cut, blow-dry and style. I just wanted basic blonde highlights and a trim. My hair was a little bit passed my shoulders so I knew there would be an extra fee but she said it would be $300.00. That did not make any sense at all. She said she can just do partial and a trim but it would still be extra $100 plus the $59.00 Groupon deal. I just walked out. I have been to a salon where they did full highlights and a trim for $100 so this was a rip off. I felt like she was honestly lying to me. Very unprofessional. I am so disappointed.

This has been the greatest experience I've ever had at any beauty salon. The customer service is great! Since the moment you walk in the personnel acknowledge you and greet you with smiles on their faces. I color my hair often and I've never been 100% satisfied with how the stylists at the other salons, I've been to, leave my hair. I've tried many different beauty salons before hoping to find "the one". Finally, I found Exotic Hair Bar, my stylist was Anabel, she's awesome! She really listened to what I wanted on my hair, my concerns, my fears from my past salon experiences. I got color on my hair and highlights, it looks great and I get lots of compliments on my new look. My mom has also been here before, she got a hair straightening perm and hair cut..... she loves her now straight hair and new look. I am glad I found the one beauty salon and I am not going anywhere else!
