I had my first visit today with Alvaro and had a great experience! He was super friendly and knowledgeable. He made great suggestions and did a fantastic job on my color, cut and style. I have been bouncing around trying to find the right stylist, and feel like I finally found my guy!

I have gone here three times and been disappointed by my stylist, Maya. The first appointment she pulled my earrings out of my ears with her comb multiple times even after I expressed how much it hurt and asked her to be a bit more careful since I couldn't take the earring out. The next two times, I didn't wear any earrings at all. I asked for a blunt bob and she cut the front of my hair so unevenly that I cut an inch of it off on my own after the appointment. My last appointment, she cut the same piece too short after I explained that I had had to cut it the last time. I do not plan to go back and would not recommend this salon.

Maya was fantastic and super kind! They listened to what I was looking for and helped me figure out what would suit me well. Best haircut I've ever gotten! The salon felt like a very welcoming and cozy space. I would definitely go back.

First time coming to this salon and it was a great experience! I found Maya through tiktok and they were amazing! They gave me the exact cut I wanted and also gave me suggestions for my hair and it turned out fantastic! Thank you to Maya and to the rest of the staff who were wonderful!

First-time Client: I went for a Long Haircut with Hannah, Hannah listened carefully to my expectations and looked at the pictures I had brought for inspiration on my haircut. We then discussed applying those inspirations more accurately to my face shape and hair type. We used clarifying shampoo during my shampoo and my hair felt so clean! Throughout my shampoo/cut Hannah checked in and confirmed length, layering and comfort for water temps, hair dryer temps, I felt very well taken care of! I will absolutely be coming back to Exsalonce, and to Hannah specifically. Thank you! Update, returned to Hannah with new and fun request and she continues to be great and able to meet and exceed expectations!

I’ve had nothing but great experiences at Exsalonce! The staff is out of this world friendly and accommodating, and my cuts are always fantastic. Torrey does an excellent job of consulting with you before each appointment, while talking through her techniques as she works. She’s very knowledgeable, and has been my go to stylist since moving to Chicago!

New favorite salon! I came in for a haircut and color consultation and Hannah was amazing. She was so knowledgeable and helped me decide on what hair color and style would suit me best. Extremely impressed with her blowout skills as well. Would definitely recommend!

They asked me to leave an hour before closing. The stylists were booked for the night. I understand that but I was browsing hair products and was about to buy a shampoo. Yes I did browse but there was a full hour to closing. Also the guy who asked me to leave was rude. He took away the shampoo from the register where I was about to buy and told me to come tomorrow.
