Been seeing Brooke for years; followed her from Stonefield to Fashion Square to these nice new digs. Can't recommend her enough, and no doubt her colleagues meet the same high standard. When I got back from my latest appointment, my wife said it was the best haircut i ever had; that should tell you what you need to know.

I highly recommend Face Value Salon for bridal makeup services. The staff made us feel right at home as soon as we entered the salon. Casey and Jessy were professional, talented, and lots of fun to work with. In particular, I can't thank Jessy enough for her extremely kind heart with a nervous bride. The entire bridal party was radiant!

Ashley Veney did a fantastic job on my cut! Maybe the first cut I’ve ever had that I was happy with even on the days I didn’t do any styling to my hair at all! Will definitely be back to see her!

Being from out of town I walked in and asked were there any chance of getting a haircut. Jessy set me up with Sam a young beautician and in 30 minutes I had my hair cut and a shampoo at a very reasonable price. With my wife having to visit the UVA hospital monthly I will likely be back.

Here's my before and after! Ask for Jamie. She will bring out the best of your hair. She knows how to frame faces and listen to what you ask for. I have been to a lot of hairdressers that just could not make me happy, but trust her with my hair now. She is amazing. Made me feel beautiful when I didn't think a certain hair style would look right...she made it work!

I had a young girl named Ashley, cut my hair. Worst cut ever! I asked for a cut and received a “trim.” No style, no curling or flatiron, just a blow dry. Extremely disappointing!

Jessy and her team were absolutely fantastic for our wedding prep! I loved my hair and makeup trial with Jessy. She made me feel immediately calm and we had a great time! Megan colored my hair for me, and I love it. I have been dyeing my own hair red for years, but wanted something a little more subtle. She listened to what I was looking for and delivered beautifully without using any bleach.

My husband got his hair styled for our wedding, and his hair looked fantastic! He has shoulder-length hair and wanted some cool braids, and the master braider was able to exactly replicate his inspiration picture. His braids lasted for days, and everyone raved about how good they looked.

The hairstylist Taylor was great, the problem was the front desk and their unexplained move. They are in a weird location (not the exact place on their map from website.) It had the name of a different salon at their site, which made it even harder to find. I tried to call for help but they just ask you to leave a message, no one answers the phone. After finding it, I asked the woman at the desk about it these issues and she said "well you found it." Not a "lifestyle salon" that I will go back to.

This salon ruined my hair. I wanted to do something special for my 40th birthday so I treated myself to a nice hair cut & dye. I’ve been going to Aveda salons for almost 20 years and this place is a joke. I even went in for a consultation before my appointment and when I came back a week later, the girl acted like we’d never met. She cut off 6 inches of my hair and left the dye on so long it was burning my scalp. It came out matte black. The owner tried to convince me it looked fine and the uneven haircut was “a look”. When I refused to accept that, they brought me in and put me in some dusting back storage area and told me it was because I was going to get VIP treatment. I think they just didn’t want anyone else in the salon to see what they had done to my hair. The owner then spent 3 hours telling me how amazing she was and how incredible her life has been. It was both unprofessional and uncomfortable to have to sit through but I was at their mercy at that point. When the girl was done putting highlights in my hair to try and make it at least look lighter, the owner told me she couldn’t keep having “her girls work on me for free”. I only went in that one time for a correction that didn’t even work and she acted like I was ruining her business. It’s been 9 months since this happened and I’m still battling it. The color was the worst part because black is so hard to lift out of your hair. I’ve had two consultations with other salons who both quoted $300+ to correct this. Don’t let them touch your hair. They will ruin it and then gaslight you into thinking it’s your problem.

*Darling* is a wonderful, creative pro stylist, who can determine/recommend what style, color, or highlights will transform your look and deliver your best look. She is quite expert and a lovely person to be around. I came from NoVa area a year ago and found Darling and am delighted with the quality of service received!❤️

Face Value Aveda is one of the finest hair salon in the USA. Being the top in the country . Very well known for makeup and hair for brides and bridesmaids. Love the people who work there. First, Brooke does WONDERFUL work, and I have been going to her for three and a half years. One star because this business continues to use COVID as an excuse for severely reduced service - guests are no longer offered coffee and tea, for example - and continues to require masks. Not only are they required, but customers are treated rudely for forgetting to bring one. This is one of the only places remaining, to my knowledge, that still enforces a mask mandate so rigorously. The experience for the client is uncomfortable as a result. I doubt I will return until this changes.

Great attention on 1sr.visit. went there 4 times later and thier interest Dwindled w/each visit. (I think they have technically but they just get negligent & I walk out w/standard assembly line cut. For $40 I want them to listen & communicate w/me.)

I worked with Jessy for my bridal hair trial and day-of style, and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome! I have lots of long hair, some of which is stubborn, but Jessy was able to get it to stay in beautiful curls, and she even learned how to do a Celtic knot design in hair! I didn't even think to ask about it, but I showed up on the day of and we did it! It matched the theme of our wedding and looked great with my overall style. Aveda Face Value also did hair and makeup for two of my bridesmaids and makeup for my mother-in-law, and each service was magnificent. We're so pleased with the outcome =)

This was my second appointment with Beatrice after trying various stylists in Charlottesville for a couple of years. On my first visit, she enthusiastically took the time to understand what I wanted — and communicated her understanding in a way that put me at ease. It was at least the best hair cut I’ve had in years (the only potential rival is my Knoxville Aveda stylist, Melody, that I had for five years prior). My hair varies in thickness and she skillfully adapted the cut to my hair in a way that elongated it, giving it a really nice texture and shape. On my second visit — after being out of town for three months — she precisely and immediately remembered my last cut. She’s smart with good business sense; she gives the kind of service that makes you want to come back, and is just a person that clearly cares about doing a good job. Aveda is also a pretty neat business model with very solid products. Both of my appointments really were the best service I’ve had in a long time. I wish I’d found Beatrice sooner. She really gives you a luxurious service for an unassuming price — this is hard to find and should be rewarded; tip accordingly <3
