Fair pricing! Great service! I was initially concerned about trying out a new place but I am super happy with the quality. Three weeks later and my hair still looks amazing. My daughter went the following week and she has also been getting so many compliments on the neatness of the braids.

First thing first I was hesitant because of the reviews but people really make they own experience and it unfortunately can ruin it but anyways I decided to walk in and get six zig zag braids . It came out soooooo good ‘! Smh ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🥳🥳🥳🥳 and Fatou is so sweet ! I’ll be coming back. I had a good experience honestly

Literally go here only cause it’s super close to the city but this is my last time after going for almost a year. Many of the braiders braid too tight, like to throw your head around, (mind you i only get wig braids) and the employees are super rude. I asked for 10 braids back with my natural hair (even though I normally get 8 but they refuse to do 8 for whatever reason) got home and counted and they gave me 12 crooked braids! Idk what's wrong with these woman but I will pray for them and their attitudes. Just read the responses from the owner to get the gist of the vibes here. If you like your edges don’t come here.

It was my first time going to this hair braiding store I hope this isn't same place this female take her daughter to with nice hair style she said by borum and I went inside and just wanted straight back braid's for my son and this lady they claimed was really good was horrible thank goodness I looked at braids she could braid my son hair catching front going straight back she packed gel conditioner all in front and headges was slick down like open butterfly front it was horrible and she and other people there worked with her was talking smack and she took out four braid's and I left people I personally think they pick and choose who hair to do well because I ask her how much and she said $40 and it was towards closing so it was crooked part's as well as horrible catch of straight back conroll going back and if you from new York you know real straight cornroll going back and how front supposed to look they are horrible with children don't go there I did it myself and I'm please I'm just stay out the African hair braiding they aren't true doing natural hair with extensions and do natural hair horrible and have attitudes horrible place.

Worst experience went there to do my knottless boho and explained in detail what I wanted n the ladie that did my hair was not experienced n did not listen to anything I said or the owner said and it took from 10am to 8pm I was annoyed n upset that it took that long and it wasn't done right

If there was a rating that was less than zero, I would provide it here. Owner is rude and deceptive. Went here for basic knotless braids, and the process took a full 10 hours. I was given a braider who was not skilled, who proceeded to pull my hair out as she was combing it through and struggled to put every braid in. Switched to the owner, who was also less than skilled. I asked for a very basic style, the owner agreed, and then proceeded to do what she wanted (my guess is this was to finish fast and preserve her bundles). Braiding was poor, I asked her nicely to install the braids the way we agreed. Rather than displaying any professionalism, she became argumentative, began talking about me to her staff, and then proceeded to install the worst braids I'd ever gotten in the 5 years I've been getting my hair braided. Will not be returning.

***edit*** To the owner: when people review your shop it is to help you get better/do better. Please take this criticism in a better way. The truth is many people are complaining about the same things which means there is truth to what is being said. It is a tragedy to lose so much business after being in Brooklyn and serving the community for 20+ years because you are not listening to your clients honest reviews who are just trying to help you run a better business. Take the time to reflect on what’s being said instead of reacting. —————————————————————————— I tried liking this place and even gave them a second try because one of the braiders is sweet but it’s impossible. I called and asked about a price for a style and she said $150 over the phone, I asked if I could come in at 9 and she said sure. The day of, the shop opened very late, and the braider showed up 1 1/2 hours late. When many other customers complained about asking to come in at 9 but not being attended until 12, the owner Fatou said “I told you you can come in, but I never said you will get your hair braided at that time” everyone was obviously annoyed. The braiding finally started and I realized the same shine n jam is shared so not to much of it is applied liberally. During the braiding, the owner Fatou and other braiders speak terribly of every customer that walks in and out even they’re most “loyal” ones. After the hairstyle is done, I’m told it is $180, I’m so tired I don’t even argue at this point but I pay without tip. I think what most ppl expect from braiding salons is for the hairstyle to last. Gossiping horribly? Okay whatever. Raising prices? Maybe we’ll let it slide. But braids not lasting not even 3 weeks is literally the bare minimum. Don’t waste your money here. There are many other braiding salons around the area where they reserve judgment and the braids are neat and will last u long time.

Horrible service, been coming for 15+ years. My family will stop coming after today. And random men kept coming out of basement. At least 4 in the hour I waited. Response to owner: You're lying, it's does matter, it's unsafe. And it makes the business look bad , and I wasn't the only one questioning it. I was coming since the shop was around the corner, before you got the second one.

I have to admit after reading the reviews I was a bit hesitant in coming here. I can't stand bad customer service, but I've come realize that some people get what they give. With that said I had a good experience. I got my hair braided by Fatou herself and I asked for knotless braids with triangle parts. My hair turned out exactly the way I was expecting. Fatou was friendly, gentle and quick. I would come back again.

I would give 3.5 stars. I’ve been going here for years . The owner is very nice and work to make customers happy. Her workers though are not that great and it doesn’t help they don’t speak English, so explaining styles get frustrating and makes the process of doing hair longer.

Terrible salon. I came in for twist and the owner (Fatou) did my hair. She is so RUDE! She is so unprofessional. She started my twist, literally did one twist then move on to another lady’s hair. (The lady had came in the day before to get her hair done and she come back with complaints of her hair already coming out). When I asked Fatou how long it was going be for her to come back and finish my hair she replied that she would be back to me soon and that I had just got there. That the lady who she was helping came in yesterday. Idc. Me and a few other women had been standing outside waiting for her to open up the shop. So I was there first. The whole time she’s doing my hair, she’s pushing my head around aggressively and when I said something about it hurting she didn’t even apologize! Then I paid her when she was done and she looked at my money then at me as of she was waiting for me to give her more. I was NOT tipping her after that terrible service. (The price was $160 which I did not mind paying. Although she told me it was $100 over the phone when I called the day before). I will never return to this salon! The absolute worse. The fact that you are taking time out to respond to my review the way you did, 3weeks later, 8:30 in the morning, goes to show how unprofessional you are and that you have nothing better to do. I paid the $160 without a problem. And could’ve paid more if needed. Money is not an issue at all. You need to worry about being professional and keeping clients rather than responding. That’s why you have so many negative reviews now.

This was my second time coming to this shop after work their work is really clean and neat. The prices are reasonable as well. I work close by had an appointment for 5:30pm after work and was seen right away. The shop is clean and everyone is very nice here will definitely continue coming back.

Came in the store and asked the owner how much she charged for passion twist. Was told $120 and to purchase the hair next door at the beauty supply when I go I ask for 22 inches they didn’t have the color I wanted to settle for the same length of my hair 18 inches. I was sat down for the next 20 minutes and finally it was my turn. Sat down and took my natural hair down hear them talking a different language. Owner Farouk comes back and says I didn’t know your hair was that longer the price is higher ($160). I informed her ma’am this is your business your suppose to ask before setting a price. Well that didn’t go well voice elevated to another language and back to English and says well you still have time to go. I just breathed in and went on to do my hair since it was last minute and I’m traveling. One thing for sure a class on common courtesy and customer service will go a long way. Coworkers were having some words and calling each other out to fight..What a professional atmosphere!!!!

By far one of the worst experiences , i was told they open at 9:30 am, Wanted to be earlier i went at 9:15am, No one showed up until 10:13 am, now we get in the shop it’s extremely dirty and cold, i showed the “stylist “ i wanted Knotless box braids she said ok she can do it , she starts doing my hair and she proceeds to tell me she”s going to take a “coffee break “ then proceeded to ask me if i like my hair (the back) when i looked in the Mirror. I see the braids look really big and have knots , i stated this wasn’t Knotless braids she proceeded to say with an attitude “your hair is to soft sit down so i can take it out if you don’t like it “ i said If it was to soft you should have informed that before you did the whole entire back of my head knowing you weren’t capable, on top of that there were 3 other stylist who had no clients in the chair and as people were coming in they were turning them down , the workers seem like they don’t want to be there. I don’t recommend

They are lazy horrible braiders and when you tell them what you don’t like they get upset and say go elsewhere. As if they can afford to tell you that, they just want your money. There is no quality in the braiding, no good customer service.They cannot braid good at all I’m sorry, they’re prices are cheap and so is there braiding techniques and yes like she said go elsewhere because I am from now on I will not waste another dime there.

This place was absolutely horrible . The conditioner service was horrible and the quality of braiding was very poor. The atmosphere as a whole was very unprofessional and the owner wasn’t wearing her mask majority of the time . She doesn’t take criticism well and rushes when doing hair. I got my hair done less then a week ago from here and I’ve been tying it down and moisturizing it but you can barely see the parts. The parts were different sizes and this was the worst experience I’ve ever had getting my hair braided.

ripped out my edges and front pieces of my hair. lady was burping and coughing while she was doing my hair. when i called telling them they messed up my hair they yelled at me. everything was bad.
