No matter the style you desire she is on point. Show her a picture and you come out looking better than what you had shown her. Very friendly and efficient. Clean environment. You will not be disappointed!!

She was very nice! She braids very neat and fast. I wanted straight back cornrows to wear under a wig. My hair is about bra strap length and she finished it in an hour! She braids extremely close to the scalp so the braids are tight but it doesn't hurt. Will definitely be returning!

TL;DR: Fatu is AH-MAZING! She’s nice, her work is very neat, and she’s a fast braider. 10/10 would recommend! :) I found Fatu through a quick Google search and after reading the positive reviews, I decided to reach out to book an appointment for traditional box braids. Although it took a few days to secure an appointment (we were texting back and forth about the style, my hair length, and her availability), she was able to schedule my service about two weeks out. Her schedule fills up quickly (and for good reason)! Let me point out that I have VERY short natural hair (a true TWA) after a recent big chop, so I’m down to about an inch of hair. I sent Fatu pictures of the length and she confirmed she’d be able to do traditional box braids. I arrived for my appointment about 10 minutes early and Fatu was there and ready to work. We spoke briefly about the type of hair I brought with me (I wanted ombré/two-toned braids) and how much it would cost for my desired style/length and she got to work. Let me tell you…she is AMAZING!!!!!! She works quickly, efficiently, and braided my waist-length braids to the end; no shortcuts. I’ve had braiders that would never braid to the end so this was a blessing. She wasn’t heavy-handed but continuously asked me if I was comfortable and if the braids were too tight. Since my hair is short, I expected a bit of tightness to ensure security. For her to complete schmedium (small-medium) box braids, braided to the ends, on my length and texture of hair, by HERSELF in only 5 hours was pure GOLD. She’s nice, her work is very, very neat, her suite is clean, and allow me to remind you…she’s fast! Run….do not walk to Fatu’s. She is definitely worth the price. I hope I’ve found my lifetime hair braider! I will definitely be returning.

I really enjoyed my experience. I got mid-back length knotless braids and they were very well done. I actually got compliments as soon as I walked out the door. She only takes appointments, which I like because its a one on one service and you don't have to wait. I recently moved to the area and I've had some unpleasant experiences trying to find someone to braid my hair. I'm so happy I found this place and I will definitely be back.

Very fast. Great prices. Definitely book in advance because there are no walk ins, the wait is worth it. Fatu is definitely top notch, 1 of the best I've had do my hair since I've been in Maryland. (Only lived here 1 year) I am only giving 4 stars because it is a bit difficult to book appointments via Google and I'd love for her to have a better booking system. If I could it would be a 4.9 lol 💕 I loved by braids however I didn't like the ends as they hung because it was too thin for my liking. Fatu explained that it was because of the (midback) length I originally asked for. I explained that i didn't know the difference and asked if the ends could be made thicker and longer by adding hair. Fatu agreed, she took the ends out and added hair without objection which I really appreciated. Of course I paid a little more but I didn't mind at all. I am waiting for my next appointment someone out booked me recently lol.

Fatu was great! I requested for straight back braids and she did a great job and was very professional. Amidst COVID it was a perfect suite for just the client and Fatu. Braids were very neat and tight but not tight to the point I was in pain. I reccomend her.

Fatu’s work is the best I’ve been going to her for a year now! Let me tell you I am tender headed. You know how some people don’t care they just push and pull your hair any kind of way. Fatu worked with my hair so well. Customer service is wonderful. She is never late taking appointments. I’ve never had to wait. If she tells me 9 and I’m there by 8:40 she’s always waiting on me. It’s a hot summer ladies get your protective styles done by her and ENJOY summer .😄

My scheduled appointment was kept on time. I have been to my fair share of braiders that tell you to come at a certain time to only have you wait for them finish someone else’s hair. So I appreciate her sticking to our appointment. I asked for a feed in braided ponytail, mid length and that’s exactly what I got. The parts are neat. The braids are neat and the feed in is seamless. She’s very nice, accommodating and her prices are more than reasonable. I would definitely recommend her and I’ll definitely be coming back. Thanks Fatu!

This place is just wonderful. Fatou and Philomène are the best. My friend got the best box braids by Fatu and I got remy virgin hair from Fatu. I was so impressed with the services. We ended up spending more that $200 and got a free pedicure. What a time to be alive. Thank you Fatu

Fatu is an amazing hair braider! I am very selective with who braids my hair and have found it difficult to to come across someone who can do my hair and have the style last due to the soft texture of my hair. I was able to stop looking once I came across Fatu! She is very pleasant and welcoming. She always does great work that is neat. In addition she does not take forever. My mom absolutely loves her braiding as well and has now made it a thing to get her hair braided by Fatu when she visits the area! If you are in need of a braider look no further than Fatu!!!!

Not only is she up to date with the latest styles... she ensures a step by step process while styling; assuring you walk away with the style you wanted. I became a regular customer, after my first visit! I have had 5 different braiding styles so far... from cornrows to lacing!
