The folks were nice, the barber was a great guy and obviously skilled (Lvl3) and gave helpful tips but he didn’t bother to ask for my preferences before stylizing aspects of my hair. Like my hairline, I wonder if he assumed I wanted a stereotypically “urban” sharp line up, if you know what I mean… despite the fact that I had and prefer a natural outline. He also “got rid of the almost mullet look” I was starting to get because my hair was long in the back, without bothering to ask if it was intentional, it was. So although it’s not a bad haircut per se, it’s not what I would have asked for. I expect a barber to take minimal changes or ask before making striking style changes especially with a first time customer. It’s going to take a long time before my hair grows back to what it was because of how much was taken off the back.

That is the first review I post about the Worst haircut in all NYC barbershops I have been to. I walked in for the first time because of the nice reviews and I wanted to explore this nice barbershop. The dude who was assigned to do my haircut is I assume he is new to the industry, he did not even know what he was doing. I asked for a specific haircut Which I showed him a full set of pictures. I was noticing he was just improvising with a new haircut so I was patient just to see where he was going. He was not even close to what I wanted, he kept on trimming and trimming and this is his final work. Btw, What is this horizontal line of hair behind my ear doing? I am going back to my barber in Tribeca. Never again to this place! Just Horrible!!! UPDATE after the owner reply: I waited all day after their reply for someone to contact me but no one did! The guy who I assumed is new to the industry was under NO supervision whatsoever and I didn’t know he was new. I paid full price not a discounted price. Plus, I would never give my hair/head to anyone who is learning/training even if it’s for free. Lastly, I went back to my barber in Tribeca and he did an awesome job in correcting this huge mistake done on my hair. PS: If you want to train your staff on customers heads, please take their consent first.

I recommend going to Nikita. He does a very good haircut. He also does beard trimming very well. It's nice to see how skillful and deft he is with his scissors

For $75 I can't recommend Fellow as a good option for a haircut and I suspect other positive reviews here are misleading. For this price a wash post cut should be included (I am aware I didn't choose this option). The biggest problem - my barber opted to clean up my neck with a straight-razor and no shaving cream, seriously unprofessional.

Got one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had from Nikita! He’s a legend. Picture attached doesn’t do it justice, but he always gets my fade right and it grows out looking great for weeks. 10/10 recommend him!

I’ve been to Fellow Barber a few times now and every time, Nick was my barber. He was very patient and gave me the exact cut I wanted, making some suggestions to fit my needs and what will look nice on me. All the employees were very welcoming and professional. I highly recommend Fellow Barber to anyone looking for an awesome cut!

They invited me in to sit down for an 11:30am appointment, then went back on their word after refreshing the webpage. I miss the days when the word of an establishment meant something and apps didn’t govern all human behavior. Keeping one’s word? I guess there’s still no app for that.
