As a busy mom and professional, I always feel so refreshed and energized after leaving Fern & Ivy. From the top-notch service, scalp massages, and drinks and snacks, I feel like every appointment is personalized just for me. Michael does a fantastic job listening to the type of cut or color I want and how to maintain it between appointments. I can always trust Michael and the Fern & Ivy team to take great care of me and make sure I look my best!

I would advise a radical self appraisal of how you treat human beings. I requested a simple trim of my uneven haircut as per the service adjustment policy and was told I would be happier elsewhere. I do not know how my request was conveyed but I did not deserve the bitter, harsh, deep seated, ill willed response.

I booked with Shelby at fern and Ivy and she was AWESOME! She truly understood the look I was going for and brought it to life. I am so happy with the outcome and have definitely found my new go to girl/ salon!

I schedule a haircut by Stephanie and she did an amazing job !!! She made me feel comfortable and welcomed . Love this new look! Definitely recommend going to here the location is really fancy too.

Jasmynn is absolutely amazing! She takes the time to truly understand my hair goals, looking through pictures and discussing every detail with me. Throughout the process, she explains what she’s doing and why, which makes me feel so comfortable and cared for. The results are always stunning—she’s given me my dream hair! On top of that, she’s a joy to spend time with, making every appointment fun and relaxing. I can’t recommend her and Fern & Ivy Salon enough!

Fern & Ivy is a non-negotiable in my life! I love coming in for any service, whether color, cut or a blowout. Their space is beautiful and relaxing! I love that I can either spend the whole appointment chatting with Michael or mix in a working appointment and multitask. The salon really lends itself to whatever I need that day. The staff is so, so wonderful! I’m always met with smiling faces and their attention to detail is second to none. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Michael - he’s made all my hair dreams come true! I always look forward to my appointments!

I've never been good at girly stuff like hair and make-up, so I was not excited about having to find a new hair salon after moving states and losing my hair to chemotherapy. But oh boy, am I happy I found Fern & Ivy? It's been two years now and I can sincerely say, for the first time in my life, that I look forward to my hair appointments. Andrea, Brittani, Michael, Bryanna and Rain, yes I've been styled by most of the team, have made this journey so much fun for me. They've taught me simple tricks to emphasize my natural beauty while encouraging me to be my best self and nobody else. I always feel so pretty after seeing them! Saying that they're the best hair salon in Charlotte doesn't do it justice, because they've become so much more for me! Ps; they have lattes and yummy snacks too!

I went to Fern and Ivy for the first time this week and the service and salon were absolutely lovely. The people were so friendly and it was very clean. I did a hair model appointment to help an assistant with her training, Stephanie, and she was wonderful! She took her time, made sure to listen to my concerns and wants. She had a supervisor with her the entire time and she was also absolutely so nice, very helpful and stepped in as much as requested. They did a wonderful job! Highly recommend working with Stephanie and the team there.

I have followed Andrea for years and always leave her salon happy and feeling like a new woman! She is extremely thorough in discussing what I'd like to have done, shares honest opinions on what will work with my hair texture, and always open to sharing tips for hair maintenance that don't include shoving products down your throat like a lot of places I have been before. The salon is beautiful, they provide clean robes so you don't have to worry about getting hair or anything else on your clothing, refreshments are offered, and the hair washes are so relaxing. Overall it's a wonderful experience and worth spending $$ for self-care and feeling beautiful when I leave! Thanks Fern & Ivy Hair Haus team! Update July 2024 - Can confirm, still a five star experience and will loyally come to Fern & Ivy forever.

Jess Rome, and fern and ivy have elevated my expectations for all salons! They go above and beyond and never fail to impress! Jess is the only one I trust with my hair and always makes me feel beautiful! She works wonders on hair and I love every experience I have ever had with her! If you haven’t tried fern and ivy I highly recommend! This salon is full of great people, and if you want a kind, personable, experienced stylist I highly recommend Jess!

I came to this salon to get a haircut for my curly hair. I specifically booked an appointment with a stylist who was indicated on this salons website to be an expert specializing in cutting and styling curly hair. I showed this stylist a picture for reference, and asked her to replicate it while preserving as much of my overall length as she could. The photo depicted a girl with curls just below her shoulders, styled to the left with layers. Starting with the positive: The stylist who I booked an appointment with whose name is Jasmynn, was seemingly very attentive and “listened” to my requests. She then suggested starting with a hair wash and blow-dry, (aka, “a blowout”). However, during the cutting process, instead of the layers I had asked for… as per the picture I showed her (multiple times by the conclusion of the appointment), she simply trimmed about an inch from my overall length off of my ends. After blow-drying, my curly hair became completely straight with no body, which was a huge disappointment for me since I have naturally curly hair. I asked her to fix it, showing the photo once again!!!... Instead she suggested face framing... but honestly how hard is it to emulate the style from the picture I showed?... The stylist claimed she wouldn't have time to do what I wanted done now, and dry my hair again in the 15 minutes before her next appointment was scheduled to begin. I agreed to the face framing just to get something after spending the money and ended up leaving with soaking wet hair! She never once offered to hold up a mirror and show me the work she just did on me… as is tradition. When I saw the result in the mirror at home, my disappointment turned to frustration and anger. I requested a refund later on the phone, but was denied and instead offered a free correction. However, after the negative experience and the unsuccessful attempt at face framing, I lost trust in this salon and their good judgement or integrity. In conclusion, despite the opportunity for corrections, I cannot recommend this salon. My experience was far from pleasant, and I am very dissatisfied with both the result and the service/attitude. My advice is do not waste your money here and definitely do not pay these people in advance. They are inadequate and unprofessional!

I just wanna take a second to shout out Fern And Ivy and and most importantly the best hairstylist I could ask for Shelby went above and beyond to make sure that I knew what was going on. She made sure to ask all the questions so that we could get the perfect Design and that’s exactly what happened. I couldn’t be more obsessed with the outcome. The environment at the salon is fantastic. They’re very welcome and I wouldn’t recommend any other salon. Thank you guys for all of the love you showed me while visiting you!

Jessica is the only person I trust with my hair! She is very professional, asks my hair goals every appointment and gives advice/suggestions how to achieve them. It is always great chatting with her and the salon is always very clean and inviting. I reccomend Jess to all my friends! I always feel so beautiful leaving the salon!

I had the loveliest first hair appointment with Fern & Ivy about two weeks ago! I was looking for a change and did a good bit of research across Charlotte trying to find a salon where I thought they'd actually care about my hair and my experience, having been to a few salons where they did a fine job, but I felt more like a chair in a seat rather than a whole person. After doing my research on each of the stylists at Fern and Ivy (thanks to their super easy to use website that walks you through first time options!!) I landed on Jessica. I cannot say enough amazing things about her!!! She spent the first 30 minutes just talking to me about my preferences, my lifestyle, asking me to share photos of when I felt most confident in my hair and photos on Pinterest that were what I was going for. I struggled to conceptualize it myself, but Jessica took all of my confusion and chaos and turned it into the most perfect look for me! She was open and honest about what she suggests for my face shape and coloring, and was totally flexible with my maintenance needs. We ended up going in a direction I would never have gone had she not taken to time to understand my needs fully and I absolutely love my hair! Truly cannot recommend Jessica and the whole salon enough- will be back!

I love going to Fern & Ivy for my haircuts and coloring. The salon is beautiful, the staff are nice, and Bryanna is a wonderful stylist. She listens and always explains exactly what she’s doing, and why. She is kind and friendly, and I simply adore her. I won’t go to any other stylist. Highly recommend her and the salon!

I love love love Fern & Ivy! As a hairstylist myself I am very picky and this salon has crossed off all of my boxes. Brittani does my hair and she is phenomenal at her craft, truly couldn’t imagine having someone else touch my hair! (And if I did- I know I can trust anyone here! Brittani and Andrea have created such a warm and welcoming space for clients and stylists alike and I am honored to be a client here! I always leave feeling like a million bucks. I wish i could give 0 stars, Jasmine brushed my hair so rough even after I asked to brush more soft, then I asked for face framing so it can eveningly fall through and all she did was left a huge chunk not even blended in, then she puts the hair cream at the roots and if theres any curly hair people you would know it gets greasy, now I left the salon with chunky greasy hair. I hadn’t realize how choppy my hair was until I got home. Please don’t come here if you have even slighty curly hair. If I would’ve known how my side parts wouldve dried I would’ve said something. Its not even on EITHER side. Very disappointing, please find somewhere else to go, I paid $65 plus tip.b
